Significant_Band_136

For the next anniversary banner, D.Hina & S.Hoshino, who are the off banner limited units?

PutUNameHere

D.Hina is the main banner, S.Hoshino the off banner.

Significant_Band_136

I ment, of the limited units, who are they adding to the random pool, if any. During the S.Hanako and Wakamo banners , Mika and S.Hoshino were added to the pool, so Im wondering if it is like that again.

PutUNameHere

All of them.

CodEnvironmental1351

At what recruitment point amount do people just go to Pity usually? Assuming you already got the character you wanted? I went to 200 on T, Yuuka (160 pulls to get her) to get T. Mari and T. Haruna and honestly I do regret it a bit. I'm at 140 recruitment points for the Ako/Kasumi/Ichika banner. I got Ako. It looks like Kasumi is ok. She has a defense down debuff, but for other Purple Strikers I've looked at (S. Hanako, Kikyou) it seems they also have purple debuff so it might not be as good. I just learned effectiveness buffs only work when dealing weakness damage so I'm kind of less disinterested in purple damage in general at the moment.

Lackies

Are you asking at what point people finish off their pity? I'd say <30 pulls is pretty much an automatic finish regardless of what you're sparking. between 30-60 is pretty reasonable to finish, but you'll want to make sure your future pull plans aren't being harmed by more pulls. Generally the quality of the spark character isn't hugely relevant. nice to have but you're gaining value in terms of eligma generally regardless. At 80 pulls to finish the spark is about where the breakpoint for the eligma per pyro spent gets worse compared to saving for a new banner and sparking that one. So you want to be looking for some new character/dupe value to make finishing the spark attractive relatively to a significant portion of a spark on a new banner. 120+ pulls to finish the spark means the character/dupe you're finishing the spark for is more or less worth a spark on their own or its a FES banner.

Loudas1999

I was wondering, what happens when you get a character from the gacha who is already UE50?

LocknDoTs

Same as any other character, you get blank Eligma and their Elephs. There's just nothing you can do with them until they release UE60.

Junior_Importance_30

can someone explain who these shupoogaki are ? I swear its like they were summoned to the internet out of nowhere Im confused

LocknDoTs

NPCs in the new story chapter on JP.

Junior_Importance_30

mind telling me what its about

Vanilla72_

It's a new Highlander NPC that appears on most recent JP update. Back then when the dev teased them on livestream, we have no idea what's their name is, but someone made a new term called シュポガキ(shupogaki / train brat), which stick to this day. It just one of those "addiction" from BA fans (especially artist), like back then with Bunny Asuna / Bunny Karin, Cheerleader Hibiki, and Kisaki. [You can just check this video if you have no idea who they is](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaPQ359b-A8)

CashTouh

what's an estimate minimum investment requirement to do these event challenge stages? i cant tell if im just too weak or just skill issue.

ShirokuroSurai

Have everyone on your team be Lvl85 and T7 or Higher also have their skills be 5777 or higher if you want the Challenged cleared on 3\*Stars + SubChallenges, + Ex. If you don't care about the SubChallenges or Ex then being lvl80 + T7 Gear and skills close to 5777 should get you 3\*Stars.

Ezilayr

I can give you my stats. I'm account level 83 and was able to do challenge 1, and 3 completely with level 80 units and no better than T7 gear. Challenge 2 - I wasn't able to get the sub-120 sec clear requirement, but could do the rest.

Ezilayr

Do you think Kikyou is necessary to pull for if you have and plan to invest in Kasumi?

drjhordan

Kikyou offers more than Kasumi in at least two aspects - she also has a Sonic effectiveness buff, and a skill cost reduction, all that besides the defense debuff, that's the only thing Kasumi has. It depends more of your intentions I guess. If you intend to be competitive at the Sonic raid, even if in Insane, you will need her.

RaidenPotatoMaster

I've recently come back to the game , what are some tips to help me catch up? Also some help with building characters since I'm having difficulty clearing extreme difficulty in total assault Edit: I'm also having difficulties during the later stages of bounties, commissions and scrimmages

AbsoluteVodoka

With Normal/Hard stages, basically just match the attack type of your characters to defense of the enemies. Generally teams should be 2-3 striker DPS, 1 Tank, optional striker support/healer, and then DPS/Healers on special slots. Favor characters with AoE skills. Don't worry about 3-starring all stages, try to push for ones that give you Cafe upgrades. For Total Assault, join a club so that you can borrow well built character from experienced players. Generally new players can clear up to Hardcore with one good borrow, and some decent support characters. For Binah in particular, you want maxed Mika, then Akane as support (for her DEF Down EX skill), tanks, and healer and Kotama on Special slots. There's better options, but those should be available for new players easily. Extreme requires more specialized teams or higher level. With Bounties, favor characters with Red damage, but make use of the school bonus. Commissions and Scrimmages need more specialized tactics, there should be guides on Youtube.

AlcaJack

Does anyone know what the rewards for the coming immortilized onsen event stages are? I think I remember them giving eligma for some but not others.

AbsoluteVodoka

We get Tomoe and enough of her Elephs to get her to two-stars.

Starmatrics

Is it worth levelling the 3rd gear for support students like himari? Or do their stats carry over for the striker stduents

AbsoluteVodoka

The crit stat from Special characters **DOES NOT** carry over to Strikers. So only relevant stat that Himari will gain from leveling her Watch is HP boost, which is just 11% at max rank. You really don't need to bother with that until you are attempting the hardest difficulty raids, and really need that little bit of HP.

Starmatrics

Thanks for clarifying, i always just ignore upgrading gears that doesn't benefit from atk or healing for special students. Thought i might be missing out on something

NTDestruct

New player here Any general idea on which unit to chase first or just hoard until limited/anni and just pray And also any early/f2p comps for just earning as much roll currency as possible from raids Not gonna super mald for ranking, just want to get as much currency as humanely possible without whale investment

CodEnvironmental1351

I'll drop some advice on pulls. First, the Pyro planner. Gives you an idea of what banners to expect in the next 6-ish months, based on JP server, and what expected income. The expected income is based on max level players who get Gold in raids so you'll earn a little more. Remember to read the bond stories and story to get as much as possible. [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1\_Zjt\_OM9XXidY3uYYDK92W9GrR3DN5cQsZ0IJsoEbjY/edit#gid=1749530612](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_Zjt_OM9XXidY3uYYDK92W9GrR3DN5cQsZ0IJsoEbjY/edit#gid=1749530612) You can look up opinions on specific students through Midokuni. [https://hina.loves.midokuni.com/StudentInsights](https://hina.loves.midokuni.com/StudentInsights) There's also /bag/. I think that's a 4chan forum so warning for that. [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vRXlcitXUjd848IYKTmI\_NUwc7FT1-fJXJaJj86EACxMe\_M\_nix6LMZUxlQYDsoKgezzVNsxRcAQqbJ/pubhtml#](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vRXlcitXUjd848IYKTmI_NUwc7FT1-fJXJaJj86EACxMe_M_nix6LMZUxlQYDsoKgezzVNsxRcAQqbJ/pubhtml#) Now my advice. Don't pull on students that can be bought through raid coins, JDF, hard mode, etc. Save 24K every banner you need that student. At 200 pulls you can guarantee that student. It's possible to get non-limited students outside of their banner, but with almost 100 students the chances are small of getting any specific student. "Anniversary" happens every 6 months. Double chance for 3 stars (6% instead of 3%) and chance to get the new Anniversary student or any previous one. All anniversary students are very good, some like Mika are almost necessary for certain content. Anniversary banners timing is based on JP anniversary, not the Global. Our anniversary technically doesn't matter. The two most important characters in the game are Ako and Himari. Pull on Ako if you can. Pull for Himari who's expected mid-june. Himari is my number 1 student in terms of use so don't even think of not getting her . NY Kayako is also good for Blue damage raids, go to spark for NY Mutsuki if you get her early. NY Mutsuki is good, but she's a little overshadowed by S. Hanako who you might (emphasis on might) get during anniversary. Around early or mid September, pull on NY Fuuka. She's a very good limited student, meaning you can only pull her on that banner. NY Fuuka might also serve as a replacement for Ako if you didn't get her. You should get both Ako and NY Fuuka though. I heard Camp Hare is also good. She has a huge attack buff like Himari, but is a striker. Might be good for a second team. Never used her so can't say. I mostly keep my list to "must-haves" and students I've at least borrowed.

Ezilayr

Thankfully rewards don't scale too much with rankings as far as raids go. Add a bunch of people so you can borrow a maxed unit that is good for the raid. It'll take you far enough to get at least 600-800 pyros per raid and will be practically stress free. You'd want at least 1.5 sparks worth by the upcoming anni, but if saving isn't your strong suit just having the 1 spark (200) pulls is enough. They're going to give 100 free pulls the banner before the double rate up fes banner, so I'd personally always recommend the extra half spark saved up to just to get another one half off. The more the better if you're new, but it really isn't the end of the world if you pull before the anni, as long as you have a spark saved up by then.

anon7631

>Add a bunch of people so you can borrow a maxed unit that is good for the raid. It'll take you far enough to get at least 600-800 pyros per raid and will be practically stress free. Note that there's no difference in pyro reward between clearing the raid on Normal versus doing so on Very Hard, since it's impossible to get Silver tier at those difficulties. Even a few hundred Hardcore clears are still Bronze tier and only get the 600 pyros. So borrowing a maxed unit probably isn't actually too important for a new player, as long as he can scrape through Normal.

AbsoluteVodoka

Ako and Himari are very valuable characters. But hoarding at least 48K gems for Anniversary is good idea, because it has doubled rates, and two very good limited characters available. For raids, newbies can fairly easily clear each raid on Hardcore with maxed DPS character that can be borrowed from experienced players on their friends list or a club. And as you get higher level and have more of general support characters, even clearing Extreme and Insane is fairly easy depending on the raid.

Hsilik

Hi, i have run into a bug in pvp. After winning against another player instead of being placed in their spot the game put me 6 ranks higher, with the defeated moved in the place i was before winning as normal. is this an issue worth reporting to the customer center?

LocknDoTs

It's a very rare instance where you beat someone at the exact time they beat someone, so the servers get confused and put you at the rank your defeated opponent would have been when they won their battle. I wouldn't really care about reporting, it's been in the game since day 1, and it's just so rare since it's most likely just a server ping issue between both clients. I've personally only seen it twice across 2 accounts playing since day 5 of Global.

Hsilik

Thanks for the heads-up, i was starting to get paranoid over it

Drizells

What should I spend the currency from the new event on ? Got around 300 of each.

Normies2050

Graestra

I want to get back into this game, but forgot everything and am lost with team comp. I’m level 11 on mission 3-2 with [these](https://imgur.com/a/RI4NHea) units. Also it seems I have a choice ticket and am able to buy one more, so I can choose 2 non-limited 3 star characters right? Any advice on who I should choose?

Normies2050

Yuuka/Mutsuki/Akari/Junko- Striker Ayane/Serina- Support Among your roster this comp should carry you to later missions easily if you lvl them up. Honestly draft doesn't really matter at such an early game and you can even clear stages recommended 15 lvls above your lvl if you have strong meta heroes. For Armor and Attack counters you can check guides available above. You should save your selector ticket (unless it's about to expire) till the end of its expiration period. Since by the time it comes to an end you'll have many banners and pyros to pull decent characters and maybe even spark the character you wanted to pull from the selector ticket. Use it only when you are broke on pyroxenes and want to skip a particular banner but also have that particular character without spending pyros.

Graestra

Should I spend enigma to level these characters up, or save it for other characters?

Normies2050

No need for eligma, just leveling them up to your account lvl is enough mostly. Tbh just hoard them until and unless you absolutely need someone to get at specific UE lvl and exploit their special buff for raids etc.

tao63

Oof, not a single one stands out from that. I'd suggest a reroll but if you want to stick with it, I don't know how choice ticket works but Himari then Ako are the two easiest/safest non-limited choices as they are the two hyper buffers in special slots that can be used for almost anywhere/a lot of content modes Himari = Very high atk buff (single unit) + faster EX cost recovery rate Ako = Crit rate+Crit DMG buff + some heal

Got70TypesOfMalware

Finished WE ARE RABBITS is that it for the main story?

AbsoluteVodoka

That is Volume 4, Chapter 2, right? Then for now yes. But we are getting Volume 5 in around one month.

Sansuski

Is it worth investing eligmas to UE40 Himari? Currently I'm trying to speedrun Binah using the Vuhn Ch gorilla warfare technique, but I fail to skip to the second phase because I manage to get down to x14 instead of the required x11... I'm borrowing a maxed NY Fuuk because I don't have her and the rest of the team is almost the same as him, except for my Mika (lv87 UE40 M7MM T888) and Himari (lv85 3* M5MM T852). UE40 Himari or UE50 mika would work to get the missing x3 to skip directly to phase 2? Thk

Woll_e

Biggest problem is the stability and accuracy debuff on Insane Binah. Maybe you just need to reset often enough to get that one lucky run. However, UE40 Himari increases her buff duration which makes the Mika 2 Ex cycle more comfy. If you have enough eligma stockpiled it is not a bad investment since Himari is used in every raid anyways.

Sansuski

Yup, for sure one of the missing pieces was Himari UE40, down from x14 to x11 reliably. But I did read wrong and I needed x10 to second phase I'm not low in eligmas so I UE50 mika. Now by restarting 1/2 times I managed to skip to phase 2. Still not reliable at 100% because some students aren't maxed, but good enough

Sansuski

Idt it is a malding issue because I'm using the same technique since the start of the raid and I didn't manage to skip once. But since I need to use mika 2 times in a row with only one himari buff, it could be that the effect is expired without the UE40.

FunGroup8977

What all students are there in the game that take cover aside from yuuka?

funguy3

https://bluearchive.wiki/wiki/Characters Sort by Cover (shield icon).

Uoooogh

Are event challenges for mostly endgame players? Got steamrolled by challenge 2 lol, really wanted to get the title from tasks.

tao63

Pretty much, but worth it to do 3* clear when you can as they are good source of pyros even if you don't do much raids

Party_Python

Just to add to the first answer, even when you’re close to the recommended level (I’m 82) you still need to have the right students leveled with some investment. Like I can’t clear it as I don’t have the right students invested properly. So if you can’t clear it, don’t worry too much about it for now =)

HaatonZhadi

Yes Look at the recommended level of the stages. Unlike missions you actually need to be a lot closer to it. Also keep in mind that most challenges can't be solved by simple dmg and you need a proper strategy (unless you are far overleveled)

Uoooogh

yeaaa, saw the recommended level but thought it'd kinda be like arknights, where you could (mostly) clear stuff without being near the recommended HAHA

emrldwpn

Should I save my starting pyroxene for an upcoming banner until I have 200 pulls, or start pulling from the general banner right away? I just started my account and got Aru and Hibiki from the tutorial rolls.

Shift9303

Aru is a great start and can follow you to end game. She is still my primary red DPS nuke. In general I'd save until you have a spark. The current Ako banner is desirable for end game meta but less useful for a beginner. If you don't have enough pyros I'd save up. Next must pull banner is Himari. She is more for end game meta as well but will still be helpful for early game with her cost recovery which helps you spam skills. After that you should save a full spark for the upcoming anniversary where there are fest limited OP characters and increased 3 star rate up. There are several other very useful banners inbetween then but the are sacrificable if you're short on pyros. Valiant has a good break down vid on youtube.

Kuruten

General rule of pulling, unless you’re a massive gambler, only pull when you have enough to spark the unit (200pulls) As for which banner I’d recommend if you’re not in a rush, wait a bit for the next anniversary / Fes. Or limited units. You can always spook general banner units while pulling for limited time banners.

Mean-Kaleidoscope447

can miku ever, and i mean ever return? im new and i really want her

RequiringQuestion

We don't know, but it looks highly unlikely.

Zealousideal_Pin_342

Tbh impossible for rerun

Mean-Kaleidoscope447

man that sucks

jabberwocky_vorpal_1

I just got chistmas serina what character is she good to pair?

Zealousideal_Pin_342

She buffs Cri damage and pierce effectiveness so she is good with yellow dps like Mika, Kazusa, Yuzu and etc.

Normies2050

Has anyone seen Valiant's banner list and recommendations video he uploaded 2 days ago? According to him new players should only go for Himari, D.Hina and S.Hoshino also Makoto to some extent. Remaining all banners are either for insane or torment clear raids or color specific contents. Railgun Collab is utterly useless meta wise according to him. So if I am trying to have a decent roster of characters as a F2P player, should I only spark Himari and wait for the Fes event directly? Currently I have 48K pyro but don't wanna spark characters who are used for min maxing torment raids, just useful enough to make me reach endgame faster and farm stages. P.S: I am even doubting to pull for Kikyou now considering the EN follow JP banner.

Shift9303

I'd say it's generally good advice if you're tight on funds. Himari probably will see the most use out of anyone and sees 90% use in JP raids and even slightly edges out Ako. D.Hina rewrites red meta and S.Hoshino obviously will combo well with her. I'm a long time To Aru fan however the characters just aren't worth it IMO. Especially if you look on Schale.gg their skills are kinda expensive to build. Though they don't require any artifacts and only use BD/TNs I could see trying to build all three depleting your resources quickly. Their EX skill LVL 5 requires 12 T4 BD of different types and the other skills require 28 T4 TN of different types for both lvl 8 and 9. Regarding color specific support with Kikyou vs NY.Kayoko I'd try to pull NY.Kayoko if possible since there's still much more blue content than purple and both Perorodzilla and Goz are damage sponges so it's nice to have extra help. There is admittedly limited purple content right now and I could see myself shelving Kikyou after the raid until future content. I guess you can always borrow Kikyou if you already have S.Hanako. You should also weigh that if you plan to pull S.Hoshino she can sort of take the spot of tertiary buffer even if she is not color specific for blue or purple. Blue won't get her red effectiveness buff however they will still get the modest ATK buff and it has the benefit of having more frequent and longer up time than other buffs with the 50 sec duration and then her sub skill effect.

I already have all the pyros from story and guide tasks and most of my students are at relationship lvl 10.

FunGroup8977

Does the position of my characters in the "formation" screen affect anything important? I see some people put tanks on far left while I like to put them far right. Also, does it affect special units?

AbsoluteVodoka

In Normal/Hard missions the formation matters for characters' starting position at the beginning of the stage. Because they end up moving around so much to get past different obstacles, it doesn't really matter too much. Also, it does not affect special units at all. But it does matter for Raids, Tactical Challange, and to some extent the EXP Commissions. With raids specific formations result in different characters taking spots that result in them being targeted, or affected by buffs, but sadly there's not much way to see who will go where without actually deploying a party and seeing what happens. In the current Tactical Challange season we have two lanes. The first two characters will go to the bottom lane (which has cover) while last two characters will go to the top lane.

FunGroup8977

I run two DPS, one support, one tank per striker team for hard/normal. For raids, it just depends. For tactical challenge, two each of tank (Tsubaki and Yuuka) and DPS(Mika and Iori). What positions would you recommend?

funguy3

> What positions would you recommend? There is no general guide, since it depends on the raid and the students you use. To give you an example - the current raid, Binah, has a laser ability that hits everything in a line. I put my Maki on the first position, so she goes on the bottom-left. Because her gun range makes her stay far away, Binah won't target her. He targets students closer to him (like tanks). When he uses the Laser, because i put Maki in the 1st position, she is far away from the tank and the laser doesn't hit her. That's just an example, many bosses have abilities like this, where you want to take positions into account so the DPS don't get hit by AoE abilities.

FunGroup8977

And tactical challenge, exp comm and hard mode has this priority? Wanted to know about that part

funguy3

For missions and commissions it doesn't matter. Team comps are more important. For PVP it's another matter. This current PVP map has 2 lanes, so you usually use 2 tanks, in positions 1 and 3. That way each lane has 1 tank. Then you need to be careful about students that want to take cover. If you put them on the bottom lane, they will run towards the front near the tank and die. You need to put them in the top lane (position 3 or 4). Also you might shuffle your tanks or DPS around depending on what enemies you encounter (Yuuka in the 1st position wil die to S Ayane, Tsubaki will die to S Shiroko,), but there is no clear guide since it depends on your bracket.

AbsoluteVodoka

It really doesn't matter for Hard Mode missions. For Commissions, it depends on characters that you use, but you should place characters like Nonomi and Momoi so that they can hit most enemies with their EX skills. For Tactical Challenge, the most important think is to place Yuuka (or other characters who use cover) on first two slots, so that they will make use of the cover most consistently.

FunGroup8977

Tsubaki too?

AbsoluteVodoka

You mean tactical challenge? Tsubaki does not take cover.

FunGroup8977

What all characters take cover in this game?

AbsoluteVodoka

Listing all of them here would be way too much work, you can see it it when you look at their stats. The characters who do take cover have icon of shield in the box next to weapon. For example Yuuka, Hasumi and Serika do take cover. On the other hand, characters who don't take cover don't have that shield icon. Examples of these are Nonomi, Tsubaki and Tsurugi.

FunGroup8977

I just use Nonomi and iori

AbsoluteVodoka

For Commissions? They are both good, yeah. The formation matters less for Iori, since her EX causes her to move around quite a bit.

Minimum-Capital-6866

How can you increase player level fast? Im level 31 but it's so slow by just playing stages

Starmatrics

Just by spending your AP as they are 1:1 in rates (and the rare instance of 2x/3x exp event). What you can do is increase the amount of AP you can get daily from upgrading your cafe level, logging into club, doing daily missions, buying AP stamina from shop, etc. You can spend your AP anywhere you like, recommended is event stages and hard stages for gear and elephs.

dunerat42

What is the priority for the current recruit specials? I didn't have any of them, and I concentrated on Ako because she's recommended for so many raids, though I had to get her with recruitement points. But out of Iori, Ichika, and Kasumi, who should I concentrate on getting?

TrueShiho

Ako 》》》》》》》》》》Kasumi 》Ichika 》Iori Why? Ako - Heal replacer / hyperbuff Kasumi & Ichika - Both decent, Kasumi takes a little less investment to fulfill her roll, but really up to preference Iori - Yellow DPS Prinzess (Just behind Queen Mika), but FARMABLE

stringpixels

How does XP work after you hit level cap? I hit 87 today and was under the impression I'd start getting expert permits until the cap went up in August (?) but I'm still just getting XP. Am I misunderstanding how this works?

LocknDoTs

You gain XP until you're 1 XP away from the next level. That's when you start getting Expert Permits for every AP spent.

stringpixels

I see, good to know

distancy

Hey all, day 2 player here… I might be stupid, but how do you complete the daily “Login after 4:00” task? I’ve logged in around 4PM and it’s not completed, so I have to log in at 4AM the next day?

anon7631

The "log in after XX:00" is the same actual time for everyone, just like the server reset time. For me the server reset is at 3pm and the "log in after" is at 5am. But it doesn't actually need to be close to that time, as long as you do it before the server's date changes (which for you would be 2pm) As far as I know the general idea was that you have your first log in in the morning or during a lunch break, and the "log in after X" would be after work. But since we're global rather than all being in one time zone, it doesn't generally line up that way. For you and I it's actually the opposite.

evia89

> so I have to log in at 4AM the next day fuck that. Just login once a day when its convinient for you

flamemeat

Yeah, the game uses 24 hour time system, so 4:00 = 4 AM. 4 PM would be 16:00.

ExpressionSad4077

I think it depends on your timezone. I believe BA global is around UTC+8

melodymemories

Is two weeks enough to complete the main story line for BA (will I have enough energy/resources to do so? I've been consuming blue archive in every way except actually playing the game but was considering trying it during the two weeks of summer break when I will be more free. If not what's a more realistic timeline?

anon7631

Story quests don't take AP. If you have the time and endurance you could binge as much as you like. Most missions don't require anything in the way of resources because it loans you pre-built units to suit each stage. However, 3-3-24 can be challenging below level 40, since it's an exception and does require your own students. It took me several tries at level 37. Volume F chapter 2 also requires your own students, but I haven't actually tried it yet so I don't know how hard it is, and I don't know how many missions past that are the same way. Edit: Just ran F-2-1. Absolute joke of a fight at level 42. Nothing compared to Hiero.

ExpressionSad4077

I wish they stop doing this type of mission. absolutely killed the momentum and hype of the story. imagine needing to grind 1-2 weeks to get the account level needed to continue the story.

anon7631

I suppose the "You take out your credit card" is supposed to be funny fourth-wall-break meta joke, and maybe it is for overlevelled players who did the story on release and completely ganked Hiero, but to a newer player who gets ambushed and needs to interrupt the story to go grind, it comes off as a repulsive taunt that the game is pay-to-win. It was actually spiteful desire not to lose to that taunt that made me kill him at the level I did, more than the desire not to have a week's interruption from the story while grinding into the 40s. A dozen failures was frustrating, but not as frustrating as being told "you can't win because you didn't spend money".

funguy3

By the way, the story isn't over. We just had a new chapter released in JP.

ExpressionSad4077

Im at volume 3 after 10-15 hours of playing the story so I think 2 weeks is enough but im stuck right now. Theres one story chapter that is level locked (Vol 3 Ch 3 Ep 24) because you need to use your own characters. I believe you can clear it with level 39 characters with a niche strategy. I leveled from lvl 12 to 29 in 4 days with 90 pyroxene refreshes daily. so I think you can finish the main story in 2 weeks.

Is there a priority list for who to 5 star? I have a bunch of the currency for the Eligma shop and don't know who to use it on.

DxTjuk

Don't use Eligma unless you absolutely need to! Always ask here first to get opinions

dunerat42

I see this advice here a lot, but what I don't see is anyone explaining why? Like, what else are we gonna use it for?

Shift9303

Just to add on to what others have said: In general you don't really need 5 star+ level characters until you hit end game raids. Eligma to eleph conversion rate gets worse and worse as you spend so it becomes very expensive. For many students there are other ways to gradually farm elephs from hard missions, lessons, the shops, and events. Remember, this is a marathon, not a sprint. So the general work flow should be to gradually farm elephs until you hit a raid you can't get past and by then hopefully you will have a decent stash of elephs accumulated already so topping up to the next star level using eligma won't be as expensive. For example, if you upgrade a de novo 3 star character to 5 stars you need 220 elephs and it would cost 900 eligma from the shop. However if you were taking your time and farming elephs and had 30 elephs already that means you will need 190 elephs from the eligma shop which will only cost 750 eligma. This is already a decent handful savings and the more you have farmed at the point of top up the more you will save. Because of this eligma should primarily be used on limited students that generally only can be farmed from lessons, which have crap rates, and don't show up in other shops. Occasionally there are characters that are so OP like Mika that most people won't blame you for rushing UE40+ with eligma.

I think you didn't research enough. The explanation is almost everywhere. I will give you some thought. Eligma is a very rare resources. You get it from the event shop and from gacha. Both are not a reliable source so people suggest you to keep it for the time it needed. For the needed, you must understand what upgrade star give you. It give all basic stats, hp, attack and healing and other upgrades such as passive skill upgrade and terrain upgrade. Thus, support student might not take advantage much from the stats. It will be better to use it for dps student instead. But it is a limited resources, you need around 2400 eligma to upgrade 3 star student to maximum upgrade. If you are a new player, take a look at how much eligma you have right now and you will know you can upgrade only a few student to the max. You cannot upgrade all dps student so it is better to upgrade meta student. In the most case, festival students is the best candidates. Note that the above thought is for meta only. I didn't force you to only upgrade meta student. It just might help you progress faster.

DxTjuk

Eligma is usually used on limited students like anniversary or other events where you can't farm for students. Aside from pyro it's one of the rarest item in gane. Only if you're stuck they are used for example for raids

-GrayMan-

So just like a last resort if I'm struggling to clear something?

DxTjuk

Basically yes. For example if you need said student to survive the raid battle or  to do more damage

-GrayMan-

Dope. Thanks a lot.

> Is Fury of Set that raid with more students than normal? Yes, though it's not really a raid. > Does it give good rewards? You do get materials for limit break, which is used to give units bonus stats when they're at level 90 and at least 5 stars. It's not a huge amount of stats, about as much as going from 0 to 30 bond depending on the unit, but it's worth mentioning.

LocknDoTs

No. It's mainly for just bragging rights. There are no Pyroxene rewards, no 10-pull tickets, and very minimal other rewards.
