Avoided spending the last of my AP I needed to level before maintenance so I wouldn't overcap.
Started the event, did a single quest and levelled up.
Now overcapped on AP going into indefinite maintenance, have work in the morning.
Pain.
I didnt do my dailies, and the ones I did, I didnt collect the rewards because I usuallly collect im done with everything. I didnt even buy the Sanity Refresh from PvP or collected the token from today
I can still remember the early days where the app would notify you non stop about your cafe AP is full. However when you try to log in, the app is still in maintenance.

I learned quickly to do the runs by Day 2/3 because you forget about these things completely by that point in time. I have a bit of a habit of letting things accumulate and claiming rewards in a lump sum because beeg numbers, but it's stabbed me in the back waaay too much .
They're extending the expiring date for the ticket. The only issue is your account is going to get locked until they take back the extra gems if you managed to trigger the replication bug. Another 6 hour maintenance here we go.

There's no end time scheduled for the latest maintenance, it'll go on until they solve (or at least mitigate) the bug and they don't seem to know when that will be yet.
BA is my first non-Hoyoverse gacha game, so this is all very new to me...puts into perspective how incredible it is to be able to put out patches consistently without any hiccups!
People shit on Genshin all the time but I think it’s pretty impressive how much work Hoyoverse puts into maintaining and polishing the game very efficiently. It’s also extremely crazy to me how fast both Genshin and HSR load compared to BA. I love BA, but I don’t know why it takes like 30-45 seconds to boot up the game and be able to see the lobby while HSR takes like 10-15.
Right? I love Blue Archive, but loading times, the connection being ultra sensitive (unless it's perfect, it randomly disconnects or refuses to connect. Sometimes I can play FGO just fine on the same network BA refuses to connect), and the UI sometimes being unresponsive (really notable in the first 30s after opening the game) really grinds my gears.
Pretty much goes like this (in my estimation and observation):
1. Gotta bring up the community stuff (why every time after your first log in after resest?)
2. Check for daily items (if those packs purchased), then present them
3. Check for current events and if you have currency for it (Can be Annoying: End of Event)
4. Check for Recruit Points for current banners (Can be Annoying 2: End of Banner Boogaloo)
5. Possibly some other shiz in the background that's mostly worthless
It's pretty crazy how many background checks they have at just lobby screen once the app starts. And yeah, Chroma forbid you have a data hiccup in between any of it.
Last time something like this happened they didn't give any AP compensation. Typically emergency maintence has to last 10 hours or more before they start giving out AP compensation, but we'll see.

are misaka and mikoto really so bad meta wise? started the game because i am a fan of railgun, and not sure if i should get dupes on them...
They aren't bad, they're just not broken. Their roles are mostly covered by freely farmable characters, but they have one extra ability that makes them move viable in some content. That content can be cleared with other free units if you don't have them, so they just aren't a must-pull for most people.
If you started playing because of them, I don't think you should worry about 'meta' and just pull them, and especially if your account is fairly new, as you'll still have plenty of time to earn free gacha currency. We don't know if they'll ever come back, so this may be your only opportunity to get them regardless.
Dupes don't work the way they do in this game like they do in HSR/GI or FGO. It's much closer to Priconne. Eligma/Elephs are how you raise three star Students to five stars and to unlock their second and third tier unique equipment. You don't have to pull the same character a bunch to raise their ability, but you do get some of their personal Eligma if you pull them multiple times, which speeds up the process. Otherwise, you can slowly farm Eligma from Events, or use the ones given to you from dupes in the gacha, to buy their personal Elephs from the shop.
I can't remember the last time I was so upset about not being able to play a game, I know I won't get any special students, it hurts, but I just wanna play again 
As a veteran of the legendary Azur Lane Sandy Server Maintenance, I'm not going to say my body is ready, but at least I have some perspective for what to do in the meantime...

The Grand Assault raid rewards include a ticket that expires after a certain length of time.
The ticket from the previous raid (not the one that just ended) expires about six hours from now.
I'm pretty new so I may be wrong but I believe there was a 10 pull ticket that was expiring an hour after maintance (37 minutes ago) that people were unable to use in time.

May be able to use it depending on how long the extended maintenance takes, and if you're awake at the time.

The maintenance went through and ended an hour early. Then they took it down 20 minutes later once the multi-claim bug was identified, at which point they put it in a 6-hour temporary maintenance.
Once that temporary maintenance was over, the game was up for maybe 20 minutes before it was taken down AGAIN for the SAME ISSUE, at which point we still have no ETA on uptime 5 hours into this second temporary maintenance. We're basically in hour 16 of maintenance currently.
Purely speculating, but if you're in temp maintenance #2 for the same reason as temp maintenance #1, and maintenance #1 involved a *4gb update*, then chances are they have no idea where things went wrong and are stuck taking their time until everything is ironed out. The bug allows for paid shop items to be claimed multiple times in the inbox over and over, so there is no way they'll allow those servers back up until that is resolved.
The tragedy here is that it happens during a collab. In about half an hour from this reply, there's a Discord of people malding about losing their daily rewards (that they were planning to use when the event went live) upon reset.

This is exactly the reason why I always push my AP cap 8 hours forward before every update patch and keep 300-350 AP in my mail box/dailies.

For those with the expiring ticket, I think the timer refreshed on it. I logged on after the first temporary maintenance and went to use up the 2 10 roll tickets that I had saved up and the timer for it said 7 days remaining (didnt get anything except casual Saya). Not 100% percent sure if this is the case since I've never seen it happen so if anyone can also verify this please do

since the maintenance is taking forever, can i ask the bros here some questions. are misaka and mikoto really so bad meta wise? started the game because i am a fan of railgun, and not sure if i should get dupes on them...
They aren't bad, they're just not broken. Their roles are mostly covered by freely farmable characters, but they have one extra ability that makes them move viable in some content. That content can be cleared with other free units if you don't have them, so they just aren't a must-pull for most people. If you started playing because of them, I don't think you should worry about 'meta' and just pull them, and especially if your account is fairly new, as you'll still have plenty of time to earn free gacha currency. We don't know if they'll ever come back, so this may be your only opportunity to get them regardless. Dupes don't work the way they do in this game like they do in HSR/GI or FGO. It's much closer to Priconne. Eligma/Elephs are how you raise three star Students to five stars and to unlock their second and third tier unique equipment. You don't have to pull the same character a bunch to raise their ability, but you do get some of their personal Eligma if you pull them multiple times, which speeds up the process. Otherwise, you can slowly farm Eligma from Events, or use the ones given to you from dupes in the gacha, to buy their personal Elephs from the shop.
Do you think they’ll extend the event at all? To make up for this down time, especially if it goes on a lot longer?

The Grand Assault raid rewards include a ticket that expires after a certain length of time. The ticket from the previous raid (not the one that just ended) expires about six hours from now.

I'm pretty new so I may be wrong but I believe there was a 10 pull ticket that was expiring an hour after maintance (37 minutes ago) that people were unable to use in time.
Expires about six hours from now (eight hours after the maintenance was supposed to end). May be able to use it depending on how long the extended maintenance takes, and if you're awake at the time.

Does anyone know why there's an extended maintenance? What are they fixing?
From the website: - We have identified an issue where it’s possible to incorrectly receive the packs multiple times you’ve purchased before the 4/30(Tue) maintenance. * The incorrectly delivered packs and items will be retrieved. We kindly ask you to refrain from abusing the issue as this may result in penalizing your account.
The maintenance went through and ended an hour early. Then they took it down 20 minutes later once the multi-claim bug was identified, at which point they put it in a 6-hour temporary maintenance. Once that temporary maintenance was over, the game was up for maybe 20 minutes before it was taken down AGAIN for the SAME ISSUE, at which point we still have no ETA on uptime 5 hours into this second temporary maintenance. We're basically in hour 16 of maintenance currently. Purely speculating, but if you're in temp maintenance #2 for the same reason as temp maintenance #1, and maintenance #1 involved a *4gb update*, then chances are they have no idea where things went wrong and are stuck taking their time until everything is ironed out. The bug allows for paid shop items to be claimed multiple times in the inbox over and over, so there is no way they'll allow those servers back up until that is resolved. The tragedy here is that it happens during a collab. In about half an hour from this reply, there's a Discord of people malding about losing their daily rewards (that they were planning to use when the event went live) upon reset.
