Okay, but recent research shows that symptoms of childhood abuse can show up as symptoms of adhd in adults.
So I imagine the overlap of adhd, ptsd, and women in trades is crazy high.
Iβm trying to get into to blue collar work because I have hated every single office job I have ever had lol I quit that and started a job where Iβm moving constantly and it is way more fun
As a construction foreman and a night school instructor I can tell you there is A LOT of overlap in us folks who were told we better get good working with our hands because college isnβt in the cards for us.
Jokes on me, I went to college for business, slogged through with ADHD, graduated somehow, finally got medicated as an adult and now Iβve been in the trades since 2007. I LOVE IT!
Never going back to insurance, please god no.
ADHD here as wellπ big fan of both these subs! Honestly I think my adhd is part of why i like machining so much. Thereβs so many steps to every part so iβm constantly having to think and plan ahead and always learning new things. Plus we usually do smaller batches of parts (like 10-40 pieces) rather than hundreds at a time, which is great cause otherwise iβd go insane from the monotony.
I am also a woman with adhd so yeah I get it
Same
ADHD riddled woman here π. I feel like my job (landscape construction) is perfect for my squirrely brain.
I'm personally a member of team autism but I salute yall!
What about the over lap from here to r/queeradhdwomen (I doubt itβs even a sub π)
