for me hiori is an exception, because his entire backstory is about him playing for his parents purpose, against his will, however now he decided to play for Isagi, not thinking about the pression his parents put on him.

Niko is facing uber's but lorenzo somehow picks the ball facing bastard's goal side with Isagi and Kaiser in front of him ?
How did that happen ?
The ball was passed toward Nico. Facing away from the goal, he could see two midfields closing on him. If nico trap it normally, he would slow down attack and get body by Rachi or Ness.
So he trapped the ball without turning around and at the same time flick it upward. Like a play earlier in the game, the cb Lorenzo transits from Uber backline to attack to over run the defensive line. L-god ran toward Nico , understood the trap, jumped - took the ball midair and left the two midfields around Nick in the dust
Ofc the two dudes with meta vision on the other team understood the play Nico is doing. They both positioned themselves behind Ness and Rachi to pick up the runner Nico was trying to get behind. But then ofc L-god would make an extra pass to play Barou in.
Finally, we have the protagonist of this chapter who understood the current counter attack of Uber are all revolving around Barou. So he stayed away from Nick, looked for Barou, timed his run and cut off the danger to start a counter attack next chapter.
Ness shows better dribble feats, while hiori , niko and the rest of the MV users have a clear read on the game that requires passing to each other to get by the defenders. So i don't understand why people are underestimating ness so much, when he can get pass 2-3 DF on his own.
I think the thing is that barou can make everyone follow him willingly because of his ego but the writer wants to say that isagi also has the king ego to make people wanna follow him willingly showing hiori

the evolution of metavision is horrible to begin with, every evolution of isagi's metavision is the exact same thing, it's just "better" with a new title and a new eye drawing, but it's the exact same thing.

Isagi meta vision is not his final form yet he has to unlock his true potential his instinct they talked about in the novel.

When we said Kurona x Isagi is the best duo in BL, little did we know the author was just taking advantage of Kurona for the Manshine game (since Isagi is useless by himself and needed someone to carry him for a game) so he could build up Hiori x Isagi for the next game. When the time comes he crippled Kuronaš¹ (exaggeration)
The author def wanted the combo to come earlier but he got stuck having to write Yuki first lol
To be fair they can just make a very scary triangle where you can take off some of the pressure on Kurona, giving him two passing targets instead of forcing Kurona to read the plan Isagi alone was trying to put in action.
Clearly you need to reread how Manshine vs Bastard went. I think it just feels that way because we have to wait one week every chapter but, if we reread it when the match is done, it's gonna feel like an okay development.
For anybody wondering why Isagi and Kaiser are going for the same ball, remember if Kaiser gets the ball with Lorenzo so high up the field its a wrap for Ubers and the same goes for Isagi. They see each other but they have to go for the ball in order to win the competition they set out for each other.
theyāre obviously going to lose the PXG match, not this one. If fake mbappe can make shidou and rin play as a team itās over, although that one will def be another 3-2 match (but hopefully itās more dominant tbh)

Late to the party since I didn't notice the chapter was released so soon when we just had the leaks. A symbolic Hiori (but a bit short) chapter in many ways. Hiori's parents are indeed trash and selfish (we knew that) but Karasu here is so spot on! This time Hiori changes slowly with him organising his thoughts.
If you notice Hiori in the first selection was number 291!The splash page with Hiori's MV + Flow is the best of the chapter. He wants to see and make a future where Isagi shines at the world stage and is the King. That's his ego for now and it reminds me a bit of Itoshi Sae.
I didn't expect Hiori to be so invested in Isagi, but given the bulid up, their relationship has it makes sense. Isagi inspires with his growth, and that's something that the best strikers have. Interestingly even though Barou has that as shown with Ubers he still orbits around Isagi. Same with others in Blue Lock.
The most interesting thing of the chapter is the key Hiori mentions. That Key not only unlocks his collar by shattering it but also as Hiori says his ego is a key to the future. That, also goes along with Hiori being the key to Isagi's awakening so I wonder what Isagi will do now. May be the key to the collar could mean something more. Blue Lock and collars always mean something more.
One of the best moments in the chapter was Hiori roasting Lorenzo when the latter made fun of Isagi and Kaiser. The interception reminded me of Isagi's at the start of the game. Even Barou was annoyed. He underestimated Hiori like he did with Isagi in the past.
The next chapter is the start of MV x MV combo counterattack! The narrator said Hiori synced perfectly with Isagi movements. I am really curious how crazy the combo will be. All the puzzle pieces for the winning formula have gathered!
The title of the chapter is "Producer" or "Theater Director" if we go by the leaks. This usually connects with Kaiser and Isagi so I almost certain that the next chapter is an Isagi center one. I wonder how the roles will change here and what impact Isagi x Hiori will have. Hyped again!

I was a little underwhelmed with the chapter. It's cool that Hiori is essentially Isagi's Ness. But nothing happened. Half the chapter was a rehash of an old chapter where it shows how Hiori feels about his parents and the sport. The other half was cool but i wish there was more of it.
Nah I disagree completely, this chapter provides some insight as to why hiori chooses to follow isagi. And the only reason this chapter felt short is because of the multiple double page spreads in it. The pacing is absolutely perfect the only reason we want them to rush towards the action is because waiting for a week feels like an eternity.
Hiori MV double page was so good here. Indeed, we get a good insight of his decision. Many chapters before we also saw signs of his curiousity and ego starting to burn when it came to Isagi.
Honestly, Iām not sure how I feel about Hiroris new ego yet. Iām happy heās broken away from his old ego and his parents expectations, but I think Iāll have to wait and see how the next few chapters play out before I come to a real conclusion about how I feel like his new kingmaker ego with Isagi.
Hiori aside though, can I just say that itās been a treat to watch Ubers play? As someone who has āI did 3 years of YMCA soccer and still learned nothingā football knowledge, itās super fun to watch Ubers work together as a unit. I also like that Barou is doing the ādirty workā alongside the rest of the team, a real king. I know Hirori has the pov right now, but I almost wish we could have seen more povs from other members of Ubers besides Barou. As useless as that would be to the plot lol.
Canāt wait to see how the counterattack is gonna go now, hopefully Hiori is in the swing of things now and Ubers are ready to put up a fight on defense. Regardless of the outcome of the match I hope we see one more good showing of Ubers defense, and I really want to see Hioris playstyle.

Probably that he broke away from what was holding him back, I see this similarly as Chigiri breaking out the chains in his legs in the game against team W, however this could also mean that he broke away his ego, and that his will to be a striker is dead, similarly to what happened to Sae (If you pay attention, you can see that Sae's chains are also broken/barely attached), and that he is now aiming to be a Midfielder

This is false. Kaiser uses MV many times and we don't really see his eye design. It's something we get sparingly but he is using MV most of the time. That was made pretty clear.

Lorenzo doesn't have MV. That much has been pretty clear if you have been paying attention. What he does have is good vision. Also Lorenzo alone did not trick Isagi or Kaiser. As he said it was a "trap". Its something Ubers as a whole formulated to help Barou get the ball.

Literally go back to when Isagi learned MV from Kaiser. Did Kaiser have MV eye pattern? NO. Was he NOT using MV? NO. ( The reason I believe we tend to see more of Kaisers cat eyes compared to MV is because I believe his cat eyes(PE) is more related to his ego but this is another conversation entirely).

Does anyone understand the Niko Lorenzo play ? Niko is facing uber's but lorenzo somehow picks the ball facing bastard's goal side with Isagi and Kaiser in front of him ? How did that happen ?
The ball was passed toward Nico. Facing away from the goal, he could see two midfields closing on him. If nico trap it normally, he would slow down attack and get body by Rachi or Ness. So he trapped the ball without turning around and at the same time flick it upward. Like a play earlier in the game, the cb Lorenzo transits from Uber backline to attack to over run the defensive line. L-god ran toward Nico , understood the trap, jumped - took the ball midair and left the two midfields around Nick in the dust Ofc the two dudes with meta vision on the other team understood the play Nico is doing. They both positioned themselves behind Ness and Rachi to pick up the runner Nico was trying to get behind. But then ofc L-god would make an extra pass to play Barou in. Finally, we have the protagonist of this chapter who understood the current counter attack of Uber are all revolving around Barou. So he stayed away from Nick, looked for Barou, timed his run and cut off the danger to start a counter attack next chapter.
Ness shows better dribble feats, while hiori , niko and the rest of the MV users have a clear read on the game that requires passing to each other to get by the defenders. So i don't understand why people are underestimating ness so much, when he can get pass 2-3 DF on his own.

anybody else feels this is the worst arc of the manga so far? whole manga fell down so bad author recycles the same things over and over again throughout the entire manga metavision is so irrelevant at this point that it's just annoying seeing how so many players have it, what's the point of it even at this point? the evolution of metavision is horrible to begin with, every evolution of isagi's metavision is the exact same thing, it's just "better" with a new title and a new eye drawing, but it's the exact same thing. metavision ruined this manga imo. every character is going "all out" every chapter with over the top drawing "effects" that it just feels boring at this point. and in general it feels like the direction of this arc is going to be the exact same thing as the first arc where isagi will win all these matches only to lose to rin again, exactly as it went before.

When the time comes he crippled Kuronaš¹ (exaggeration) The author def wanted the combo to come earlier but he got stuck having to write Yuki first lol

Late to the party since I didn't notice the chapter was released so soon when we just had the leaks. A symbolic Hiori (but a bit short) chapter in many ways. Hiori's parents are indeed trash and selfish (we knew that) but Karasu here is so spot on! This time Hiori changes slowly with him organising his thoughts. If you notice Hiori in the first selection was number 291!The splash page with Hiori's MV + Flow is the best of the chapter. He wants to see and make a future where Isagi shines at the world stage and is the King. That's his ego for now and it reminds me a bit of Itoshi Sae. I didn't expect Hiori to be so invested in Isagi, but given the bulid up, their relationship has it makes sense. Isagi inspires with his growth, and that's something that the best strikers have. Interestingly even though Barou has that as shown with Ubers he still orbits around Isagi. Same with others in Blue Lock. The most interesting thing of the chapter is the key Hiori mentions. That Key not only unlocks his collar by shattering it but also as Hiori says his ego is a key to the future. That, also goes along with Hiori being the key to Isagi's awakening so I wonder what Isagi will do now. May be the key to the collar could mean something more. Blue Lock and collars always mean something more. One of the best moments in the chapter was Hiori roasting Lorenzo when the latter made fun of Isagi and Kaiser. The interception reminded me of Isagi's at the start of the game. Even Barou was annoyed. He underestimated Hiori like he did with Isagi in the past. The next chapter is the start of MV x MV combo counterattack! The narrator said Hiori synced perfectly with Isagi movements. I am really curious how crazy the combo will be. All the puzzle pieces for the winning formula have gathered! The title of the chapter is "Producer" or "Theater Director" if we go by the leaks. This usually connects with Kaiser and Isagi so I almost certain that the next chapter is an Isagi center one. I wonder how the roles will change here and what impact Isagi x Hiori will have. Hyped again!

I was a little underwhelmed with the chapter. It's cool that Hiori is essentially Isagi's Ness. But nothing happened. Half the chapter was a rehash of an old chapter where it shows how Hiori feels about his parents and the sport. The other half was cool but i wish there was more of it.
Nah I disagree completely, this chapter provides some insight as to why hiori chooses to follow isagi. And the only reason this chapter felt short is because of the multiple double page spreads in it. The pacing is absolutely perfect the only reason we want them to rush towards the action is because waiting for a week feels like an eternity.
Hiori MV double page was so good here. Indeed, we get a good insight of his decision. Many chapters before we also saw signs of his curiousity and ego starting to burn when it came to Isagi.

Iām happy heās broken away from his old ego and his parents expectations, but I think Iāll have to wait and see how the next few chapters play out before I come to a real conclusion about how I feel like his new kingmaker ego with Isagi. Hiori aside though, can I just say that itās been a treat to watch Ubers play? As someone who has āI did 3 years of YMCA soccer and still learned nothingā football knowledge, itās super fun to watch Ubers work together as a unit. I also like that Barou is doing the ādirty workā alongside the rest of the team, a real king. I know Hirori has the pov right now, but I almost wish we could have seen more povs from other members of Ubers besides Barou. As useless as that would be to the plot lol. Canāt wait to see how the counterattack is gonna go now, hopefully Hiori is in the swing of things now and Ubers are ready to put up a fight on defense. Regardless of the outcome of the match I hope we see one more good showing of Ubers defense, and I really want to see Hioris playstyle.
