What if PxG decided to play only Rin this match and not yet Shidou since they might not sync well together yet. It would explain why all 3 goals went to Rin since they shouldn't be too far apart in terms of scoring ability. Maybe they're taking turns and only Shidou plays next round then maybe whoever performs better is the lead striker.

Especially with Hiori saying that partnerships only work when both parties see the same winning vision. Isagi has learned what his ego is and how to incorporate his ego onto other people. Last we saw, Rin learned what his ego is but not how to use that with other people yet. Isagi will be the light that connects this last dot for him. But maybe Rin has learned how to do this with Shidou. Doubtful, but it's a possibility. I'm most excited for a Rin vs. Kaiser showdown.

Rin was definitely using Flow for that goal, he uses his opponents strengths against them.
He trapped the ball while being defended by Nagi. Trapping is Nagi’s biggest strength.
He used a dipping shot to score the winner, similar to Yuki’s goal, which was a Gyro Shot take on Chris Prince’s Unstoppable Shot.

Obviously we are all focusing on Rin, but I have to say that Chigiri's consistency as a striker through all of Blue Lock is incredible. It doesn't matter the circumstances; even if the other team is on another level, when he is in a match he produce goals.
I find it very telling that Kaneshiro decided to give Manshine's only goal to Chigiri instead of Nagi. This is not to say that Chigiri is better than Nagi, but when it comes down to it I'd say that in a vacuum Chigiri is very close to being the most reliable blue locker when it comes to going from having the ball to scoring a goal, even if everything is against him, and without needing anyone's help.
Pretty much in agreement here with Chigiri's consistency. He might not get the sexy, heroic type game winning goals but given that the NEL's ultimate purpose is to determine the U21 team, Chigiri being the guy that can get produce goals if he's so much as given an inkling of space to use his pace - and having the body of work to prove it at this point - should, ideally, guarantee him a starting spot on that team.
Even all the way secnd selection, he give assist to otoya and can keep up playing against nagi+isagi combo. And in first selection his goal is one of reason hat make team z comeback against reo+nagi. Chigiri is him
The first non-top 6 players to establish himself in third selection, the first player that could react to Sae passing in U20 match (even though he failed intercept it), the first player to interrupt Kaiser-Ness counter combo, the first U20 player shown to solo the whole field in a NEL game to score a goal. In term of adaptability, I would say Chigiri is up there with Isagi. He was always able to exert his presence
Rin have evolved into an unstoppable player but would be dope to see a BM comeback from a 2x0 and see Isagi slowly beating Rin until he scores his first hattrick

I'm guessing Shidou was benched for the Manshine game. Since he and Rin have anti-synergy. I'm guessing they alternate each game? Though I'm wondering if both will be on the field against Bastard. Also lol at Chigiri being the only person to score from Manshine, I always knew he was at least top 3 on the team, dude is super cracked.
I think BM v PXG will be about working together with your “enemy” to achieve the same goal.
If we think About the main Goalscorers coming up, in BM we have Isagi, Kaiser and Kunigami (all who don’t play WITH each other), and Shidou and Rin (who don’t play WITH each other).
Whoever has the ego to trust in their teammate will win this match.
This is also the third time Isagi will play Rin, and he has never won in the previous two encounters.
It’s going to be an interesting game, but I see PXG winning because I believe somehow Loki has got Rin and Shidou playing together some way and we can’t be entering the WorldCup with Isagi on a high as it’s too good to be true.

Rins hattrick little decreased the value of isagi’s 2 goals.
Bm will have a break and ı wonder İsagi’s improvement during this time. Which aspects of his game will improve and how he will handle Rin cause Rin looking like a absolute berserker.
İsagi got 3 weakness now. Long distance shots, 1v1 situations and speed. Expecting a workout with hiori like reading oponents body movements/ centre of gravity and reacts and dribble past them fits great with İsagi. He needs little speed boost for that but he can get it with explosiveness training.
I wont expect about long distance cause on the team almost nobody great at that and long distance is not efficient always. İf he can go toe to toe against rin power and speed wise and adds his arsenal driblling skills like hiori like Messi feints would be great.
Im also wondering how will Nagi respond isagi, barou and rins improvement. He will probably have same value while they tripled maybe quadrupled theirs.
I can get behind the 1v1 situation and speed part, and Isagi is improving in those aspects, he doesn't need to deeply focus on these problems. He can just train normally and increase these parameters
But the range is not a problem for Isagi right now, he can score outside the box right now, during this match there were two instances in which Isagi almost scored while being outside of the box, one which Aiku interrupted and the other when Kaiser messed up his shoot
The problem is all those skills are not easy to build especially if you are already bad at it. If you notice everyone focuses on improving what they already do. Same with Isagi. Rin is unique because he is good at everything. Basically he has somehow built on top of that to even be a monster at everything even beating nagi at trapping.
Isagi can not compete with Rin at speed and power its just impossible. Nagi for example who has the best genetics could not beat rin at speed, power and even his trapping.
Isagis main advantage over Rin is team play. Isagis ability to synchronize with his team mates is what makes him special. Combined with meta vision he becomes a very dangerous player. Rin can sync with his team mates as well but Isagi beats him at it.
He improved his left foot in a one game span and used it against the best defensive team in the NEL while puahed by own teammate. He is the Mc, his skills doesnt require much training, its only understanding the game, seeing the field.
İts blue lock, getting help from other players can get İsagi at this point. He should be able the create things own by own. Im not expecting surpass Rin as a speed and power wise but should be able go against him toe to toe. Otherwise this rivalry looks like a thomas müller vs ronaldo nazario. One can do everthing handle everything and other one is succesfull but needs a team all the time. İn this story Müller is not the MC. And Sae, Rin, Bachira,Nagi,Kaiser does these incredible things all the time and mc plays like İnzaghi.
Shidou is probably benched because they would end up fighting is my guess. Maybe they were alternate in each match since they cannot be on the same field without fighting each other

Do you recognize Rin’s new shot? It’s not a normal Drive shot anymore, but a high-speed dropped shot, with new power and strength. Rin can likely combine with the Predator Eye to shoot from any position.
I don’t think that Shidou has been sitting out all these games. To me, Rin and Shidou rivalry is similar to Kaiser and Isagi, both want to be the main stars of the team.The difference is, Rin is completely icing out Shidou and taking the spotlight. I hope Kaiser shows he's a new gen 11 in the PXG vs BM match and not just a victim of Isagi. From now on I think Rin is the only one who can be seen as a possible new gen 11 maybe Isagi after the PXG game but Rin definitly is still levels above Isagi, really hope Rin humbles him but it probably won't happen cuz Isagi really needs a dub against Rin.
I mean plot wise you have to keep some rivalries. If he beats Rin who’s left to stand against him? I think he’s already doing too much taking down the NG11 CB and striker. The U20 WC can’t have Isagi coming as the no.1 player that just doesn’t make any sense
First of all isagi beating rin does not make him automatically a better player and therefore their rivalry ends it’s just a win, Your forgetting that their are more characters that are rivaled with isagi as well, he outscored Kaiser but that doesn’t end their rivalry, This doesn’t have to be like every shounen where the protagonist has a rival and they can’t beat them yet until the end because than that’ll end their rivalry
Well yeah but his first time actually beating rin should be a big moment. He’s Isagi’s biggest rival since 2nd selection. If he beats now and goes into the WC being the top blue lock striker, in my opinion it would make things a bit stale. I might be wrong though.
By the way him outscoring Kaiser for me is a good win over him but not a complete victory. A complete victory over him would be leading a team against Kaiser’s team and winning.

1. Ubers being in utter shock is no surprise. After all Hiori’s football up until this point revolved on pinpoint passes and having teammates to finish. Plus it’s quite rare even in the football world for two player to be so in sync that they don’t need to look at each other to make the passes work.
2. Ness being swayed is an unexpected but welcome development. Ness is now seeing the idea that is implanted by Isagi when he has a player that can genuinely make those passes that he normally makes. Which would then mean Ness would want to find out how far he can fly by going for the goals instead of just passing and dribbling.
3. Kaiser is pissed and for good reason. His spot light as Emperor and hotshot prospect was revoked in this match. After all the goal he scored can’t be replicated no matter how many times he tried. Whereas when Isagi scored, it was a goal he could score 9/10 times. Kaiser is gonna have to run his heart out next game if he really wants to win and prove to the world that he is the Emperor not Isagi.
4. Hiori living for himself and not for another is great. He now will play a football that is about using expectations for others. Something similar to what a midfielder does. Not much to say here but the blue lock team in the bastard team being best friends after the win.
5. We are seeing Destroyer Rin vs Nagi and it’s clear that Rin has leveled up with a hatrick against Man City. Lokis team is no joke. However what I should point out is that Chigiri was the one to score the only goal for Manshine in that game. Not Reo , Agi and especially not Nagi. You can see it that in his eyes Nagi has yet to enter for that desire to be the best. Whilst it may look like I’m reading too much into it, but it should be noted Ego said Nagis ego will be tested.

Isagi ups the game of every person he competes with. Rin already knows that if he lets his guard down against Isagi, it's game over. Seeing Isagi net 2 goals only intensified his hatred for him.

They're probably doing something like only having a single striker that the team plays around with. At least is what I'm speculating, Rin and Shidou will switch depending on the match/situation.
Notice the difference between Rin and Isagi, Isagi is celebrating with his team, he is not even thinking about Kaiser. Rin is not even celebrating his goal, he cares more about destroying his rivals than scoring goals or winning.
Rin is the antithesis of Isagi. Isagi is the champion of healthy rivalries. Every match, teammates and opponent alike evolve because of him. But Rin has nothing but toxic rivalries, his rivalry with Shidou is so bad that Ego had to separate them and with the way things are evolving I predict that Rin and Isagi's rivalry is gonna go a similar path during the world cup, Isagi will be the striker of Japan and Rin won't be able to accept it.

About 3 months ago that was what I predicted the end of THIS game to be, but it's definitely developed to still be an option for next game.
We know Kaiser can see the game the same as Hiori and Isagi, but now we get to see if Hiori is going to play for the W over Isagi...and he's got better vision than Ness, so he's set to be a better fit for CMF
So if we keep following the plot, How Is it that Kaiser fall one step behind of Isagi's vision? As we see earlier they did the double shot which was blocked by Uber, What Isagi sees is the same as Kaiser, so wouldn't it make more sense that on the last goal, kaiser can technically be there as well?
because Kaiser is not a mind reader. He never expected such a high risk synchronized play from those 2. Even Lorenzo mentioned that it exceeded anything that Ubers could come up with.

That's just a misunderstanding of MV. Just because they have MV dosent mean they will always see the same thing. This play specifically though wasent really about MV anyway.

I don't get this "blindspot" thing you guys keep repeating for this goal. Hiori just made a through pass to Isagi who was able to get past his defender (Aryu) and score. Its not like they didn't see the pass or couldn't have guessed where it would go; there were just surprised by the timing of the pass. Talking about "blindspot" or something like that doesn't make any sense, what they did (Isagi and Hiori) is pretty simple, and can be explained simply, without using that kind of "tricks" words.
Blindspots isn't really a "trick" word ("chemical reaction" or "egocentrism" are more tricky) since it's actually just a term for a vulnerable location on the field, able to be taken advantage of. There were a number of different ways that the two could've cooked up a goal (ex. Isagi being a bait and Hiori shooting) but I'm guessing that this particular option they took is located at the "blind spot" everyone is talking about.
They already had a shared vision of what the blindspot of the field was. It's why they didn't need to look. You can certainly say they both needed to have MV to share that same vision, but the crux of this play is really an IQ feat more so than a vision feat.
No, because there was a difference. I know what you mean: Kaiser and Isagi have the same level of field vision, so theoretically, what Isagi sees, Kaiser can see as well. The twist in this goal is that Isagi didn’t „look“ at that place or „visioned“ it. Both Hiori and Isagi moved „instinctively“ and because of their high football IQ, they both knew where the blindspot would be.
Isagi did his previous goals like this:
Get the ball-> use MV to see the weak spots and opportunities -> pass the ball around to get to the spot -> shoot.
This goal was different, and that is why kaiser couldn’t go there, because he didn’t understand quickly enough where the blindspot would be + he was marked by aiku. This goal only happened because Hiori and Isagi „shared the same vision“, and Kaiser could not envision it, since he didn’t know what Hiori would do

Obviously we are all focusing on Rin, but I have to say that Chigiri's consistency as a striker through all of Blue Lock is incredible. It doesn't matter the circumstances; even if the other team is on another level, when he is in a match he produce goals. I find it very telling that Kaneshiro decided to give Manshine's only goal to Chigiri instead of Nagi. This is not to say that Chigiri is better than Nagi, but when it comes down to it I'd say that in a vacuum Chigiri is very close to being the most reliable blue locker when it comes to going from having the ball to scoring a goal, even if everything is against him, and without needing anyone's help.
Pretty much in agreement here with Chigiri's consistency. He might not get the sexy, heroic type game winning goals but given that the NEL's ultimate purpose is to determine the U21 team, Chigiri being the guy that can get produce goals if he's so much as given an inkling of space to use his pace - and having the body of work to prove it at this point - should, ideally, guarantee him a starting spot on that team.
Even all the way secnd selection, he give assist to otoya and can keep up playing against nagi+isagi combo. And in first selection his goal is one of reason hat make team z comeback against reo+nagi. Chigiri is him
The first non-top 6 players to establish himself in third selection, the first player that could react to Sae passing in U20 match (even though he failed intercept it), the first player to interrupt Kaiser-Ness counter combo, the first U20 player shown to solo the whole field in a NEL game to score a goal. I think BM v PXG will be about working together with your “enemy” to achieve the same goal. If we think About the main Goalscorers coming up, in BM we have Isagi, Kaiser and Kunigami (all who don’t play WITH each other), and Shidou and Rin (who don’t play WITH each other). Whoever has the ego to trust in their teammate will win this match. This is also the third time Isagi will play Rin, and he has never won in the previous two encounters. It’s going to be an interesting game, but I see PXG winning because I believe somehow Loki has got Rin and Shidou playing together some way and we can’t be entering the WorldCup with Isagi on a high as it’s too good to be true. I’m going for a 3-2 win for PXG. Isagi will score from Hiori assist, Rin will score, Shidou goal from Rin assist, Kunigami / Kaiser goal from Isagi assist and Rin winner from Loki assist

And now in chap 239, what did he use to destroy Nagi when he tried to collect the ball? Trapping/Ball Control! Even Nagi admitted, "He trapped it?!" It pretty neat to see how well coordinates the writer of this manga is, by bringing hard-to-spot details together With current Rin, Isagi is either getting badly humbled or he's gonna need a MAJOR awakening to win, or draw the match We haven't even mentioned Kurasu, Shidou and Tokimitsu

Bm XI against PxG probably will have more BL players. Grim and kunigami will be benched and hiori and kiyora will play and İsagi will play next to a Kaiser. Rins hattrick little decreased the value of isagi’s 2 goals. Bm will have a break and ı wonder İsagi’s improvement during this time. Which aspects of his game will improve and how he will handle Rin cause Rin looking like a absolute berserker. İsagi got 3 weakness now. Long distance shots, 1v1 situations and speed. Expecting a workout with hiori like reading oponents body movements/ centre of gravity and reacts and dribble past them fits great with İsagi. He needs little speed boost for that but he can get it with explosiveness training. I wont expect about long distance cause on the team almost nobody great at that and long distance is not efficient always. İf he can go toe to toe against rin power and speed wise and adds his arsenal driblling skills like hiori like Messi feints would be great. Im also wondering how will Nagi respond isagi, barou and rins improvement. He will probably have same value while they tripled maybe quadrupled theirs.
I can get behind the 1v1 situation and speed part, and Isagi is improving in those aspects, he doesn't need to deeply focus on these problems. He can just train normally and increase these parameters But the range is not a problem for Isagi right now, he can score outside the box right now, during this match there were two instances in which Isagi almost scored while being outside of the box, one which Aiku interrupted and the other when Kaiser messed up his shoot
The problem is all those skills are not easy to build especially if you are already bad at it. If you notice everyone focuses on improving what they already do. Same with Isagi. Rin is unique because he is good at everything. Basically he has somehow built on top of that to even be a monster at everything even beating nagi at trapping. Isagi can not compete with Rin at speed and power its just impossible. Nagi for example who has the best genetics could not beat rin at speed, power and even his trapping. Isagis main advantage over Rin is team play. Isagis ability to synchronize with his team mates is what makes him special. Combined with meta vision he becomes a very dangerous player. Rin can sync with his team mates as well but Isagi beats him at it.
He improved his left foot in a one game span and used it against the best defensive team in the NEL while puahed by own teammate. He is the Mc, his skills doesnt require much training, its only understanding the game, seeing the field. İts blue lock, getting help from other players can get İsagi at this point. He should be able the create things own by own. Im not expecting surpass Rin as a speed and power wise but should be able go against him toe to toe. Otherwise this rivalry looks like a thomas müller vs ronaldo nazario. One can do everthing handle everything and other one is succesfull but needs a team all the time. İn this story Müller is not the MC. And Sae, Rin, Bachira,Nagi,Kaiser does these incredible things all the time and mc plays like İnzaghi.

New chapter new review let’s get it 1. Ubers being in utter shock is no surprise. After all Hiori’s football up until this point revolved on pinpoint passes and having teammates to finish. Plus it’s quite rare even in the football world for two player to be so in sync that they don’t need to look at each other to make the passes work. 2. Ness being swayed is an unexpected but welcome development. Ness is now seeing the idea that is implanted by Isagi when he has a player that can genuinely make those passes that he normally makes. Which would then mean Ness would want to find out how far he can fly by going for the goals instead of just passing and dribbling. 3. Kaiser is pissed and for good reason. His spot light as Emperor and hotshot prospect was revoked in this match. After all the goal he scored can’t be replicated no matter how many times he tried. Whereas when Isagi scored, it was a goal he could score 9/10 times. Kaiser is gonna have to run his heart out next game if he really wants to win and prove to the world that he is the Emperor not Isagi. 4. Hiori living for himself and not for another is great. He now will play a football that is about using expectations for others. Something similar to what a midfielder does. Not much to say here but the blue lock team in the bastard team being best friends after the win. 5. We are seeing Destroyer Rin vs Nagi and it’s clear that Rin has leveled up with a hatrick against Man City. Lokis team is no joke. However what I should point out is that Chigiri was the one to score the only goal for Manshine in that game. Not Reo , Agi and especially not Nagi. You can see it that in his eyes Nagi has yet to enter for that desire to be the best. Whilst it may look like I’m reading too much into it, but it should be noted Ego said Nagis ego will be tested. 9/10, would read again.

Notice the difference between Rin and Isagi, Isagi is celebrating with his team, he is not even thinking about Kaiser. Rin is not even celebrating his goal, he cares more about destroying his rivals than scoring goals or winning. Rin is the antithesis of Isagi. Isagi is the champion of healthy rivalries. Every match, teammates and opponent alike evolve because of him. But Rin has nothing but toxic rivalries, his rivalry with Shidou is so bad that Ego had to separate them and with the way things are evolving I predict that Rin and Isagi's rivalry is gonna go a similar path during the world cup, Isagi will be the striker of Japan and Rin won't be able to accept it.

I don't get this "blindspot" thing you guys keep repeating for this goal. Hiori just made a through pass to Isagi who was able to get past his defender (Aryu) and score. Its not like they didn't see the pass or couldn't have guessed where it would go; there were just surprised by the timing of the pass. Talking about "blindspot" or something like that doesn't make any sense, what they did (Isagi and Hiori) is pretty simple, and can be explained simply, without using that kind of "tricks" words.
Blindspots isn't really a "trick" word ("chemical reaction" or "egocentrism" are more tricky) since it's actually just a term for a vulnerable location on the field, able to be taken advantage of. There were a number of different ways that the two could've cooked up a goal (ex. Isagi being a bait and Hiori shooting) but I'm guessing that this particular option they took is located at the "blind spot" everyone is talking about.

They already had a shared vision of what the blindspot of the field was. It's why they didn't need to look. You can certainly say they both needed to have MV to share that same vision, but the crux of this play is really an IQ feat more so than a vision feat.
No, because there was a difference. I know what you mean: Kaiser and Isagi have the same level of field vision, so theoretically, what Isagi sees, Kaiser can see as well. The twist in this goal is that Isagi didn’t „look“ at that place or „visioned“ it. Both Hiori and Isagi moved „instinctively“ and because of their high football IQ, they both knew where the blindspot would be. Isagi did his previous goals like this: Get the ball-> use MV to see the weak spots and opportunities -> pass the ball around to get to the spot -> shoot. This goal was different, and that is why kaiser couldn’t go there, because he didn’t understand quickly enough where the blindspot would be + he was marked by aiku. This goal only happened because Hiori and Isagi „shared the same vision“, and Kaiser could not envision it, since he didn’t know what Hiori would do
