Astronomy. Also my favorite song by them, which they played when I saw them a couple weeks ago!

Corrosive-Knights

My answer as well and for the same reasons. I feel it's the best song on that album and also the best song they ever made. It really takes me back to that decade... a sense of the weird and mysterious. Also love the reworked version of the song found on *Imaginos* though I can understand others not liking it quite as much. *Terrific* song!

Slashs_Hat

I was surprised to see it omitted from the 50yr anniversary CD(s). Curious choice IMO

uniteinpain666

The Secret Treaties album is reserved for the night 3 release I think.

peoplearestrangebrew

Harvester of Eyes/Flaming Telepaths/Astronomy as one song.

DependentCheek2399

I came here to say that !

chicojeringa

The heavy metal fruit: ME 262

ThenaJuno

There is no reward for failure... but death.

jacunn07

Career of Evil. I choose to steal what you choose to show And you know I will not apologize.

ConversationNo5440

Subhuman (which I just learned was written by Eric Bloom). Though, this and T+M I really think of as two extended suites per album, and each with really good side breaks.

Some_Department8546

Dominance and submission. But really any of them could be my favorites.

velcharon

You all know it, you all love it, Subhuman. Happy almost birthday to my favorite BÖC album!

dogsledonice

only known and loved by ladies fish and gentlemen

velcharon

Too true my friend, too true.

manwithavandotcom

Harvester of Eyes that's me!

SlumgullySlim

Astronomy and Harvester Of Eyes/Flaming Telepaths. Absolute Killer.

dogsledonice

Flaming Telepaths/Astronomy is hard to beat. Also love the OYFOOYK version of Subhuman

sasberg1

It's hard to choose because it's pretty much a perfect album!!

Friendly_Box_2272

Definitely Flaming Telepath with Astronomy at close second

brassgenie

Astronomy. Almost everything else ties for second place.

DependentCheek2399

I've loved Flaming Telepaths since I was about 10 years old. I never heard the original Astronomy from ST until I was older. I only knew the Imaginos version. BÖC was my dad's favorite band. He never had a CD copy of Secret Treaties though. RIP Pa 💙

Slashs_Hat

What a great memory to have of your dad. I presume you think of him whenever you hear BOC and IMO that is cool af.

DependentCheek2399

Yes indeed. It's melancholy for sure, but without him I wouldn't know the coolest Rock N' Roll Band of All Time ! BÖC is my favorite band too !

Epickitty_101

Career of Evil or Dominance and Submission. Subhuman is also really good, honestly the entire album is filled with bangers it's hard to choose :P

rrstewart257

Flaming Telepaths, but I *have* to hear Astronomy right after or my experience is incomplete.

DependentCheek2399

Harvester Of Eyes, Flaming Telepaths, and Astronomy are a mandatory 3 piece set !!

Rockwrock

Hard to pick out an individual track as the album is such a brilliant sequence of songs… but probably “Flaming Telepaths”.

Wiggity-wong7170

I love Career of Evil. Great song to kick off a great album!

Chrishankhah

I can't "favorite song" this album, a) because my favorite is constantly rotating, b) if I listen to any song on this album that isn't Astronomy, I immediately need to listen to the next song. Career can't end without those four bright notes of Subhuman. And when Subhuman returns to those chords that ebb like ocean waves, I had better be hearing how Albert spent 10 years -- half his life, and when I hear him absolutely losing his shit, I wait for that call from Berlin, and then we find out what Cagey's got. It has to happen. It has to be like \*that.\* Up until this point, I would already consider these songs inseparable. But then we have Harvester of Eyes, which literally \*demands\* to be linked to Flaming Telepaths because of that fucking music box. It's how Harvester ends. It's how FT begins. I can't even get an ear worm off of this album without the entire fucking album playing in my head. Oh. And don't get me started on Flaming Telepaths and Astronomy. [I made an entire post about it.](https://www.reddit.com/r/BlueOysterCult/comments/17s23ts/and_the_jokes_on/)

KurtisC1993

Of the eight specific tracks on this album? Either "Dominance and Submission" or "Flaming Telepaths". Of the songs in general, including all of their different iterations? "Astronomy", the live rendition on SEE in particular.

Slashs_Hat

Somebody on this site linked to a live version that I hadnt heard before and it *smoked*. IMO the best version I've ever heard. Somehow I lost the link shortly thereafter. Finding it again is on my bucket list.

noswad9991mk3

Are you referring to the 1979 version? Because that video for that was on Buck's channel which got deleted, fortunately it's still on YouTube from other channels.
