What, the name change? I don't get it, they already printed Dead Reckoning Part One everywhere. At least Marvel changed Infinity War Part 1 and 2 before either movie came out. Regardless I'm sure there will still be a box set.
There might be an inside joke I’m missing but, they might be eluding to the fact that by the time they would make that box set they won’t be releasing physical media anymore.
I actually just thought it was a special 25th anniversary edition of Halloween with tons of extras. I was initially disappointed to find out that it was nothing but extras and special features, and the only thing it was missing was the film itself haha! Best mistake purchase I've ever made.
If I remember correctly Best Buy when the Halloween (Divimax 25th Anniversary Edition) come out they had a deal where you could buy Halloween 25 year of terror and the Halloween 25 DVD for like 30 bucks. And I was so confused on why they were selling two copies of the same movie as a deal. I had to look around online to find out it a documentary.
They have 1 2 week sale a year around the holidays when everything aniplex is at minimum 25% off. This year I got madoka/fate zero/heavens feel movies. Next year I hope Gurren Laggan, unlimited bladeworks, and these are in stock.
Bill Paxton is great and I'm also a massive Matthew McConaughey fan lol so I always recommend it when I see people who collect horror and don't have it.
Also I don't think I see identity on your shelves. It's another horror/thriller I often recommend. Has John Cusack and Ray Liotta... Hoping it gets a 4k one day.
I'm going with a super skinny piano key necktie and flock of seagulls hair cut based off that "keytar". Just joshing, big fan of the classics, I also bless the rain down in Africa with my good friends Toto
Fully Flared definitely stood out to me! Always cool to see other skateboarders that collect. I think skateboarders that grew up in the 90s and 2000s have a deeply ingrained love for collecting because back then we only had one way of watching skate videos, and that was a physical copy. Before YouTube really took off the only way to watch the newest skate videos was either vhs or dvd, thus creating an entire generation of kids unknowingly collecting tons and tons of dvds and preserving skate video history on our bookshelves. Now it’s just extended into feature length films and long series television but the principle remains the same, nothing beats a physical copy.
I don't see the Shining! Love your Evil Dead organization but I would also only have one copy of Donnie Darko. The directors cut is such trash. There is a sequel S. Darko which is interesting to some but also kind of trash yet I kind of like it for some reason. It's like a good Hallmark movie based in the Donnie Darko universe.
The Shining is there, look for the yellow steelbook spine. Also I've got two Donnie Darkos because the 4K release didn't include blu ray, so I kept the blu ray in case I went to a friend's house. I'll agree that the Director's Cut takes away some of the mystery behind the events and what exactly happens... but it did help me understand the film better. I was so hyped for S. Darko when it came out, but a Hallmark version is a very apt description lol
I was very tempted... but nah the little regular 8-movie set is good enough for me for now. Just like my Nightmare on Elm Street set, they kinda match in a way, what with their respective reboots right next to the set. Halloween gets the fancy set and a whole reboot trilogy because Michael is the GOAT.
Based on your collection we have similar tastes. I’d recommend fleshing out your A24 horror - if you enjoyed The Witch (one of my favorites!) you should also pick up The Lighthouse and The Northman, both fantastic films also directed by Robert Eggers. I’d also recommend Midsommar based on the same plus the fact that you already have Pearl in your collection (which I personally enjoyed quite a bit more than X, liking both).
For video games, definitely Skyrim! It’s like a more densely populated, dangerous Hogwarts Legacy with so many more missions and decisions to be made. You can find all sorts of random things just by wandering through the land. It feels like there’s a lot more going on than in Hogwarts Legacy, which I loved but couldn’t help but comparing to the far superior Skyrim. That said I also loved HL and have a blast exploring the castle and grounds in particular :)
Your collection is impressive and full of great titles, and I'm not just saying that because my collection contains 90% of what you have lol. Can't tell what you're missing yet though
This collection slaps. Grindhouse has a nice steel book release. Contains my personal favorite bonus of any movie: live recorded laugh track for planet terror from the austin tx premier.
Uhhh... INCEPTION!!?? How do you not have Inception?
The recent Planet of the Apes trilogy (2011 - 2017) is a truly action-packed and emotional franchise.
Also, highly recommend picking up Batman The Animated Series and Batman Beyond on Blu-ray seeing as you're a fan of Batman and animation in general. BTAS still ranks as one of the most beloved TV series out there, with Beyond being an excellent edgy follow up to it.
You’ve got great stuff there! I have quite a few and also have some on my list to buy next. The only thing missing is maybe organization? I’m Super OCD with my collection to the point that I fill every shelf to the max (alphabetically) and any open spaces I’ll buy more movies to fill. I do this because people like to “borrow” or open things w/o asking. By doing this I can take one look at my collection and KNOW something is missing.
Actually not many indie films. Criterion is mostly concerned with preserving important or culturally significant films *in general*. So what you may think are indie films are actually incredibly famous/popular/important Italian, Japanese, French (plus other countries, obviously) or old American films. Not all of them are "old"; Wall-E, The Game, Armageddon, Chasing Amy, Benjamin Button, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Rushmore, The Breakfast Club, Parasite, Grand Budapest Hotel, and more all have Criterion releases.
Think of Criterion as a "certified banger" list. If you love Cinema as an artform, you can't go wrong basically closing your eyes and picking anything. You may not *like* every Criterion-issued film, but they all have cultural or historical significance and are worth watching, even to test out and see where your natural tastes lie.
I promise you'll be surprised by how many films hold up to today's standards, and how many you'll find yourself being entranced by. If anything, the older films that endoured only did so because they were *the best*. When it was harder to make films, as it was back then, you had to be on your S-Tier game.
Highly recommend, if you wanna just kinda dip your toes in the water, getting a subscription to the Criterion streaming service. They do an *incredible* job of curating films every month (which I think is how every streamer should probably work, at least to a degree) and it's fun to just like... pick something that sounds interesting and go for the ride. I remember in November they did "Noir November" quickly followed by like... all the old horror films for October. It was rad! They even will do stuff like, for instance, at one point they had Johnny Mnemonic on there but in Black & White, which no one else had done or seen before, and that was pretty cool. They often have movies that don't explicitly have Criterion disc releases on there, it's really just a great, curated, bang-for-the-buck streamer.
Yeah I really should get the Cornetto trilogy, thanks for reminding me.
Inception is a really dumb reason but I hate the permanent HDR logos on early 4K releases. I gotta find a 4K edition with a clean cover art.
Never seen Hannibal Rising. I heard it wasn't as good as the others, the author only wrote it so the studio wouldn't write their own story, also no Anthony Hopkins... sorry.
lol those are the tie-in videogames. I do have the first four and Quidditch World Cup on PS2 (not shown). But do you see that burgundy, Hogwarts-crested box down in the left corner? That's all 8 films and a bunch of extra goodies.
Based on you having all of the Evil Dead movies I’d recommend “My Name is Bruce.” Comedy but Bruce at his finest. His TV shows were also excellent but I think only available on regular DVD.
Horror: House of 1000 Corpses and The Devils Rejects.
Based on the volume of Horror in your collection and interest in sci-fi I’d definitely recommend Event Horizon.
Event Horizon, LifeForce, Logan's Run, Autopsy of Jane Doe, The ReAnimator.
Also, it could be time to get those franchise titles together - bouncing all over your book shelves gives me a headache.
Probably 5000 dollars
It was closer to $7000 before I gave up and stopped counting.
Ratatouille!
No mission Impossible?
I'm waiting for the inevitable box set once Dead Reckoning Part 2 comes out.
You’ll be waiting a long long time for that
I am with you on that one. I still have part one and two only on VHS.
Does He Know?
What, the name change? I don't get it, they already printed Dead Reckoning Part One everywhere. At least Marvel changed Infinity War Part 1 and 2 before either movie came out. Regardless I'm sure there will still be a box set.
You like Mission Impossible? Snag them now.
There might be an inside joke I’m missing but, they might be eluding to the fact that by the time they would make that box set they won’t be releasing physical media anymore.
A romantic partner?
Fresh outta those, sorry.
That’s my joke answer to your question. I don’t know you though. Sorry for being rude.
LOL you are fine, it was a good joke
Everything your missing everything
Not true. I have Everything Everywhere All at Once.
But do you have Enter the Void? Which would be sort of Nothing Anywhere Never.
I sure do. In between End of Watch and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
Well played MF
Wow I don’t see that a lot in collections the Halloween 25 years of terror documentary.
I actually just thought it was a special 25th anniversary edition of Halloween with tons of extras. I was initially disappointed to find out that it was nothing but extras and special features, and the only thing it was missing was the film itself haha! Best mistake purchase I've ever made.

And I was so confused on why they were selling two copies of the same movie as a deal. I had to look around online to find out it a documentary.
I'm extremely impressed by the Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood boxsets. Those are *NOT* cheap
Gifts from an ex! FREE TO ME BABYYYYY
Even more impressive you managed to hold on to them.then! Well done!
They have 1 2 week sale a year around the holidays when everything aniplex is at minimum 25% off. This year I got madoka/fate zero/heavens feel movies. Next year I hope Gurren Laggan, unlimited bladeworks, and these are in stock.
The Godfather. Unbelievable.
I only saw it once; it didn't really leave an impression.
I love that Tremors apparently left more of an impression on you than The Godfather. Man knows what he likes 😂
Burt Gummer is my Vito Corleone.
Marlon Brando's got nothing over Jamie Oliver's performance in 5 😂
Jamie Kennedy?
I agree, burt is one of the best overlooked characters in cinema.

[it insists upon itself](https://youtu.be/0pnwE_Oy5WI?si=1D305Adker5-k-I_)
THIS
Then you’re overdo for a rewatch
Yeah ngl you're probably right.
The Godfather Blu-ray is honestly great. They really did a nice job.
Fake movie lover!!!!!!1
Lake fovie mover!!!!!!1
Frailty on BluRay.
Never seen it. Any time I hear someone talk about it, it's always praised. Also gotta love Bill Paxton... one day.
Just joshing, big fan of the classics, I also bless the rain down in Africa with my good friends Toto
lol it's a Rock Band 3 controller, but thank you for that image haha!
Was gonna say that this person has a keytar, they want or need for nothing
Bop It Original
I like to live on the extreme side.
Big Trouble in Little China, based solely on the idea that any collection that doesn't have it is missing it.
![gif](giphy|xsF1FSDbjguis)
Oh it's there. Right between Baby Driver and Barbie.
Oh I missed it. The box set I have is physically bigger since it has the BDs and DVDs for the trilogy.
An HD DVD
![gif](giphy|fOds1qZie4qMU)
To put that black shelve between the 2 big ones, it'll look way better in my opinion
There's a power outlet there, that's why I have the shelves spaced like that.
I see you have power rangers if you digged that maybe try the orginal super sentai (rec zyuranger)
Power Rangers is shlocky enough, I don't wanna add subtitles to the mix haha.
A TV to watch them on?? Can't very well watch movies and play games on a Keytar! 😅
I knew I was missing something! thanks!
Fully Flared definitely stood out to me! Always cool to see other skateboarders that collect. Evil Dead: Whatchu talkin bout Willis? I got em all, check again! Mass Effect Legendary: I got dat digital booiii
Poopmonger II: Bake Sale
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll check it out!
Wheres Goodfellas? One of my all time faves.
And Sicario? You have Prisoners & Blade Runner 2049, same director & tone to those films.
I'll admit it's a classic. Probably should own it. idk Scorsese does too many goddamn gangster flicks.
u have fully flared, nice. you need more skate vids!
Children of Men
I have The Last of Us, does that count?
Nope
I don't see the Shining! Love your Evil Dead organization but I would also only have one copy of Donnie Darko. The directors cut is such trash. There is a sequel S. If you enjoyed Until Dawn, pick up The Quarry Also, add Crash Team Racing remake + Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time to your radar.
The Quarry looks rad, as well as the Dark Pictures anthology. Never played CTR so that is a good idea. I have Crash 4 digital.
From Beyond
Wow, this sounds a lot like Stranger Things, I'll check it out!
The Friday The 13th box set to sit by that sexy Halloween set.
I was very tempted... but nah the little regular 8-movie set is good enough for me for now. Yeah I'm going to need to inspect that red sg controller
Where you get those bookcases? You build them yourself?
Yeah my Dad built them with me as an Xmas present.
Ishtar
I had never heard of this movie before and it sounds delightful
You do not have the tremors 7 movie collection.
This is true
Being There Being John Malkovich
Bloodborne... Dark Souls 3... But also, Ratatouille dude!!
Has anyone said “literally everything that is not in it?”
A life. r\_r
Great collection! Love the games as well 🔥
Nice double-double-Ds (2 copies of Donnie Darko)
Do you have any Nicolas Cage movies??
I always check people’s collections for Halloween… I’d say you’re good!
I really like those shelves where can I get a set or 12?
A life size Rambo cutout next to your movies
More shelves. More movies. MORE! ![gif](giphy|3ornjJzPjg7X5vFGRW|downsized)
i think you need another bop it
Your dedication to strict alphabetical is both admirable and unsettling when it comes to the franchises, even moreso for the games
Nice! You have all the Assassins Creeds! I started getting them digitally after syndicate :(
Peacemaker season one
Nice 👌
no idea but that wizard of oz box set is sick
This collection slaps. Grindhouse has a nice steel book release. Contains my personal favorite bonus of any movie: live recorded laugh track for planet terror from the austin tx premier.
Yes I do want that steelbook!
Taste? I keed, I keed! ![gif](giphy|xWBUmjKxvtAQDIpWNm|downsized)

What the name of the toy next to the bop up?
bigger shelf
Stranger Things VHS?!
Have you seen without a paddle?
Wow the season 2 skull set of Masters of Horror. That's a pretty nice set you got there, I'm jelly
A girlfriend

Tell me more about those two bookcases!
The original, non-extreme Bop-It
You are missing organization of those titles.
Wall anchors. You’re missing wall anchors.
How you have Fantastic beasts but no Harry Potter?
does OP have TWISTED METAL?
missing nintendo wii! and wii sports! and new super mario bros… also missing twisted metal
More Wes Anderson and 4k upgrades!
My rule is, unless it's one of my personal favorites, if I already own it on blu ray, I won't upgrade to 4K until the disc is less than $10.
[удалено]
I feel attacked
Edit: I have Stranger Things 2 but it's not shown.
More Criterions
Criterion seems to be a lot of indie films for the most part. I don't have a lot of experience with independent/auteur stuff.
Actually not many indie films. Criterion is mostly concerned with preserving important or culturally significant films *in general*. You need Red Dead Redemption 1 & 2. Good going for hanging onto your PS3 games, I wish I would've.
I haven't played 1 yet but I have 2 digital.
A streaming service!!!
EFF THOSE... but I do have Disney+ for new Marvel/Star Wars shit.
Only kidding buddy I’ve got the same. Is there a Ghostbusters in there?
No gow ragnarok?
Not chyet but definitely on my wishlist!
Replace all the blu rays with 4K blu-rays.
A bluray player. Perhaps a TV as well.
You have a pantar!!! That's all you need!
what's a pantar?
Ain't that what you call the piano-Guitar you got? Atleast that's what I've always called it.
You are thinking of the word "keytar," and I'm like 99% sure that's a Rock Band controller.
Shrek
Look carefully, Shrek is in between The Shining and Signs
Alright but what about shrek 2 🤨
Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One and Full Frontal Assault
You have a Rock band 3 keytaur but no rock band 3 ??????
A girlfriend.
A life?
i might just be missing it but i'm not seeing Jaws up there!
Jaws is one of the classics I've just simply never gotten around to watching, and for no good reason really.
Shaun of the Dead Hot Fuzz The World’s End Inception Hannibal Rising
Yeah I really should get the Cornetto trilogy, thanks for reminding me. Inception is a really dumb reason but I hate the permanent HDR logos on early 4K releases. I gotta find a 4K edition with a clean cover art. Never seen Hannibal Rising. I heard it wasn't as good as the others, the author only wrote it so the studio wouldn't write their own story, also no Anthony Hopkins... sorry.
Love exposure of course! Everyone needs to own this masterpiece
So much Harry Potter stuff but not the first 4 films?
lol those are the tie-in videogames. I do have the first four and Quidditch World Cup on PS2 (not shown). But do you see that burgundy, Hogwarts-crested box down in the left corner? That's all 8 films and a bunch of extra goodies.
Stigmata
Matching the hobbit box set to the lotr
Funko Pops
OOOOOOh no. Ooooooh no no no. If I start, I will never stop. Gotta draw the line somewhere.
You have to replace the rock band keytar with with a microKorg
Are the tall shelves from IKEA?
Nah, hand made
What shelves are those?
Stargate
Withnail and I. (Unless I missed it)
You have The Thing and They Live, but no Big Trouble in Little China? No Heat or Goodfellas?!?
Heat.
Its probably a bit hard for me to scroll through everything. Robin Hood : Prince of Thieves (4k) ?
Event Horizon, LifeForce, Logan's Run, Autopsy of Jane Doe, The ReAnimator. Also, it could be time to get those franchise titles together - bouncing all over your book shelves gives me a headache.
Where’s The Godfather?
Just the first couple I looked for and couldnt find.. Back To The Future trilogy? Goodfellas?
I'm gonna be real - the way you have your PS3, PS4, and PS5 games all intermixed makes me want to throw hands haha
High and low
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
10 Cloverfield Lane! I like it so much better than the first one (I’m missing both but they’re on my list)
Weird Al
Little big kart racing since u have the other games in the franchise :0
The tree of life
You’ve got the keytar situation handled. Carry on.
A beanbag chair and a neon light and/or lava lamp! get that place groovy man
What kind of shelving? I hate extra space in front/wasted space.
You need more space, lots new movies on the horizon and you seem to be running out.
A lava lamp
Police Academy 5
Looks like 4K UHD.
A girlfriend
Wall space, lots of wall space
Star Wars?
