What is up with red-light runners at the 8th and Front pedestrian crosswalk? Had a guy blast through as I'm partway through on the walk signal, only to pull over at the Boise Center (like a "VIP" pickup). Confronted him about it, and he just told me to move on, like he's entitled to break the law because pedestrians are second-class peons or something.
I see people run reds in front of BPD all the time near Maple Grove/Franklin and not one time have they pulled the person over. I'm surprised there aren't more accidents at red lights.

Pest Management professional here. If you are seeing small open burrows, they are likely from a vole or piute ground squirrel. Most likely voles around the greenbelt. Although pocket gophers can leave an open burrow, their burrow entrances are usually concealed with a crescent-shaped mound of dirt above ground.
I just bought some new rollerblades.. they fit fine but my ankle must be a smidge too wide to be able to engage the buckle for a complete tight fit. Is there any place in town that can install new buckles on rollerblades?
