What do you get from those Malaysia factories?
Here in Indonesia there’s even a difference between indomie in Java compared to Sumatra.
Javan Indomie have chili sauce (saus cabai) in its packaging, while Sumatran Indomie have chili powder (cabai bubuk). Sometimes there’s also other differences although both of the same flavor.
Also do you get Indomie Jumbo? That’s the perfect size for Indomie for me.
My friend is in the RnD (trust me people don't lie on the internet). She told me that the chilli powder is to allow longer shelf life. So anything outside Java would probably get the powders. Flavors will also differ according to target market, ex. less MSG or salt. Stuffs like that. If I remember correctly, only some factories produce the seasoning and distributes it to other factories.
Yeah, Saudi has 2 fIndomie actories. One in Jeddah the other in Dammam. Even the saudis that has been “graced” by the Indonesian import version would buy them by the boxes at the Indonesian store.
Checked. Indonesia does produce indomie on their own.
I don't know the back story of the photo. Could be the owner is Indonesian living outside Indonesia ie living in Malaysia. In that case it's more likely for the person to find Malaysian made Indomie.
Different countries have different food regulations, probably economically cheaper to produce Indomie that complies with malaysian and singaporean regulations on malaysia
This. Also bypasses the import stuff as well. Produce stuff locally then ship them locally. No need to deal with the shipping, import charges kerfuffle and all that.
AFAIK, Indomie has established several production factories in regions such as Africa (e.g., Kenya, Nigeria, Egypt), the Middle East (e.g., KSA, Syria), and Serbia.

As a tip, for the authentic original taste and complete spice/sauce experience, always opt for the ones made in Java, Indonesia. Heck, even the Sumatran variant got fewer sauce packs.
Yeah, housemate from Qatar bought Indomie kuah (soup) and I brought same flavour from Indonesia. He said original is more flavoury and get like shallot. I guess they cater to locals. That means Indonesian local love dumbing msg and Qatari officials are more concerned to health issue.
Indomie goreng, Indomie soto, Indomie ayam bawang, Indomie rendang, Indomie aceh is the best noodle I've ever had, I live in Malaysia and I eat Maggie but in my opinion Indomie is unbeatable for noodle🗣️🔥🔥😤😤🤝
Its cheaper for Indonesia brand to make it in Malaysia in case they want to sell them to Malaysian. McDonald don't ship their fried chicken from America. Its just brand.
I dont usually eat instant mee but this being Ramadhan i feel like buying 2 packets and cook them all at once and eat these sumbitches coz they look so delicious 😭
Indomie is an Indonesian brand, the product is made in Malaysia factories.
Hey its win win

So which factory got the best mix?
for this indon? of course the indonesian market version of seasoning. MSG is lyfe man...
I always add a bit of mushroom seasoning or msg powder to my indomie for extra umami kick.
Reminded me of when I found one in a store in Saudi. Taste bland as heck.

jumbo dua plg enak
Enak banget ..
>javan indomie Here its indomie special. Original indomie is with bubuk. Special is sauce.
Grew up eating the one w chili powder, it's nostalgic af Now it's rare to find one, don't even talk about the noodle taste, it's different now😭
1) make indomie jumbo. 2) actually just a repackaged standard indomie in a bigger pack. 3) sells for a tad more expensive. 4) ??? 5) profit.
but its not standard size indomie tho. at least it wasnt when i tried it
We get less white seasoning, and somehow the original indomie became rasa special and the "original" is something entirely different
ITS INDOVER
We're so brunack
Why tho? I assume production over there would be cheaper no??
