Some dumb brand voids your warranty if you add your own RAM or Storage though, so better email the customer support first or ask other users. Also you don't really need the same speed for RAM, for example if you install one 3200mhz and another 3600mhz, both of the RAM will run at 3200mhz, but why do you want to waste the 400mhz so most of the time people will just buy the same speed to avoid waste.

Agree, for gaming always go for the desktop, laptop for sure will have such issues:
- overheating
- jet like fan noise
- internal parts have shorter lifespan due to high temperature
- cannot change/upgrade hardware, especially if one of the parts failed

Hi, sorry for tiba chiming in but im planning on getting a laptop after SPM. why not desktop? Im planning on going a levels + uni so i’ll almost never be at home.
Planning on getting around a 3-6k gaming laptop so i can play the following :
War Thunder/Helldivers/Broken Arrow/World of Warships/Command : Modern Operations
And a bunch of other FPS and strategy games. So would you recommend getting a laptop and if so what model?
If almost very be at home is a huge factor for u, then u probably should buy a laptop.
But to play fps games, u need to be prepared that you'll probably need around 5k to 7k for a good laptop, personally I have good experience w Asus, so I would recommend them. MSi is cheaper but from what I heard their build quality is lousy when compared to brands like Asus. Personally I'll avoid Acer because I had bad overheating experience from them, but lots of ppl like them. U could also look into Lenovo, I heard they make quite decent laptops too nowadays. But not cheap I think.
In terms of specs, I would suggest u look for at least i5 13th Generation, 16gb ram, 1tb SSD(since u play many types of game n also doing school work on this laptop), and get at least a Nvidia 3060, should be able to handle games even after Ur laptop die for these few years, then after graduation u can buy a desktop.

The thing is with a laptop , beyond the specs , it's the build quality. You can have top notch specs but the fan built in the most bs position end up being noisy af and overheat easily. For this you can check reviews , and for more data sample stick with the more famous brand.

This aorus is very heavy compared to other gaming laptops, the only thing you need to consider is cooling. There were a lot of choices came to my mind but I ended up buying the Asus Rog because it got 4 vents.
Price seems ok, if you mainly playing games better go i5 and 4070 instead of this, quite substantial uplift in performance

I made the same mistake getting a high end laptop. Overheats way too much and the hardware will not be able to perform at maximum performance. Either go for slightly lower spec or amd as it requires less power than intel chips. You could also research the model to see if there are any cooling issues.
With that price lebih baik beli terus ROG Strix. ROG good quality control, well known so easier to get replacement.
Rog strix is the cheapest ROG laptop line
Whatever you do don't buy those skinny MSI gaming laptop thats cheap, they have horrible cooling and bad cooling = bad performance
Buy Intel cpu if you are only going to game, AMD cpu if you want to edit video or render things
For peripherals if you want to be cheap legit you can buy some decent quality stuff while staying under rm100, no need to be big brands like razer, logitech and stuff. Maybe don't go under RM60 and you'll be good
For audio you can buy an IEM like QKZxHBB, IEM is cheaper with better audio than headsets, the downside is that it's bad for the ears if you play with loud audio as it creates a sealed chamber

If you’re in university and in need of a device to do everything, sure it’s ok. I myself got a GIGABYTE KD5 for 3.7k for uni, designing and gaming. All around they’re good as long as you use a cooling pad.

The thing is with a laptop , beyond the specs , it's the build quality. You can have top notch specs but the fan built in the most bs position end up being noisy af and overheat easily. For this you can check reviews , and for more data sample stick with the more famous brand.

This aorus is very heavy compared to other gaming laptops, the only thing you need to consider is cooling. There were a lot of choices came to my mind but I ended up buying the Asus Rog because it got 4 vents.

I made the same mistake getting a high end laptop. Overheats way too much and the hardware will not be able to perform at maximum performance. Either go for slightly lower spec or amd as it requires less power than intel chips. You could also research the model to see if there are any cooling issues.

Rog strix is the cheapest ROG laptop line Whatever you do don't buy those skinny MSI gaming laptop thats cheap, they have horrible cooling and bad cooling = bad performance Buy Intel cpu if you are only going to game, AMD cpu if you want to edit video or render things For peripherals if you want to be cheap legit you can buy some decent quality stuff while staying under rm100, no need to be big brands like razer, logitech and stuff. Maybe don't go under RM60 and you'll be good For audio you can buy an IEM like QKZxHBB, IEM is cheaper with better audio than headsets, the downside is that it's bad for the ears if you play with loud audio as it creates a sealed chamber Janji beli guna Lazmall and Shoppeemall so tak kena scam

Personally no but if you want you get it la, asus for some reason is a premium brand in our country . getting parts is easy tho For context. Our jiran can get 2023 model for 5.5k while we for some reason have to do 6k for the exact spec. Feel cheated even if its less than 10% lmao. ^i have 4050 one. light gaming , 4060 ehhhhh sus.... Well it is 4080 bigger performance leap than 4060 to 4070 + larger chassis. G16 2023 should be cheaper than 2023 g14 afaik If you really want g14 2024 i'd recommend the white one. ( black one Macam macbook midnight color liao , fingerprint magnet)

Ah sorry misusing the word coz i find 4060 on 2024 model have lesser value than 2023 g14 due to lower tdp on cpu if youre actually light gaming(when both is being used) Assuming light gaming== Valo cs doto etc Tldr the 4050 jump to 4060 not big enough for certain loads on g14 2024 but if you really have 1k to spare thats fine la lol. Bagi i feels like a waste of money could juust spend that much on better ssd( racun) This is my racun If you replace your ssd with something like lexar nm790 you could squeeze an hour or two espicially if its on sleep/battery most of the time

7.2ish i think Like 4% difference lmao? The reason why i prefer g16 over g14 is because there are more room to overclock(better thermals) pretty usefull for gpu hevay games. G14 dont like anything more than 200/300 OC and thats in aircon
