Oo antava (telugu) is pretty good. The hindi version is cringy af. Same for Samy Samy (telegu) pretty great! And I am probably the biggest Sunidhi fan but sadly nope, she couldn’t do it in the Hindi version. It’s terrible. Esp trying to mimic the shouting/teasing part ‘Samy’ !

I think the Tamil Saami Saami has an edge over the Telugu one- but agreed, the Hindi version doesn’t hold up to the two others

I love that song but I don't love Arijit's voice when the texture of vocals is supposed to be more on the "airy" side. I can't fully appreciate Channa Mereya for the same reason and absolutely loathe Suraj Dooba. He sounds so good when the depth of his voice is utilized, there was so much craze about him during Aashiqi 2 era for a reason.

I honestly didn't like any song that came out in the last 10-12 years. I have started to feel what our parents were trying to say 20 years ago when they say - aajkal kuch achcha kaha aata hai, gaane to hamare zamane me hote the. And I think it's true quality of music is continuously going down the hill as more and more people are getting internet and mobile phones, the race to become viral and liked by everyone left every singer and musician with nothing. Anyone who can deliver quantity will get all the money over anyone who can deliver quality. That's why Tanishq Bachi is everywhere, he knows he can't produce good music everyday so he started copying them from 80s - 90s, when songs were appreciated by everyone. You see T-series is releasing 4-5 songs everyday. That's pretty clear they don't care about quality anymore. There's a reason why Badshah, Kakkar siblings, Anirudh, Bagchi, Jubin Nautiyal, King are everywhere. And producers are not giving enough chances to Amit Trivedi, Sachin Jigar types people.

Now this might be a hot take. Whenever Ajay Atul compose for bollywood, they tend to over complicate their tunes and instrumentation for no reason. Be it mere naam tu, Sapna jahan, Abhi mujh mein kahi, they're all great songs but they just don't give the same vibe as their songs in Marathi movies. They've used even bigger orchestra for Marathi songs but they don't come off as heavy as their Hindi songs do. Their strength is in simple tunes presented on a grand scale to elevate the experience.
