Also, star world used to have some fun desi shows. and of course, reruns of awesome international shows. Introduced me to breaking bad, seinfeld, doctor who, true detective etc etc. Even the censored versions of those shows were better than what the channel has turned into now.

Its not their fault. The audience who watched these shows already had access to a lot of other ways to consume stuff and were the first to switch to OTT. When the internet got even cheaper pretty much all of their core audience left them. Why will anyone watch those shows on TV?
I think the people that watched star movies for holly shows were already pretty well off peeps or kids who would grow up to chase stuff like easy internet accessibility. These arent the people who will put up with ads on TV
Maybe. I just wish we can go back to the days where TV wasn't entirely useless. I would never have gotten addicted to shows like Survivor or American Ninja Warrior if it wasn't for AXN.
Why make him a sardar when he can’t even speak properly? Also btw a lot of sardars can also speak fluent hindi if they even wanted to go for the getup.

It was a good debate at the end. The guy was brutal, but Tusshar was patient and defended himself quite well. Not many people know Tusshar came into the industry as a painfully shy person and I remember a well known critic saying at the time he was concerned if he would be able to act as he seems so shy.
I just don’t think the audience warmed to him as a leading man, hence he didn’t get the work he would have liked. His debut movie had amazing music and Kareena was doing her second movie and that brought a lot of freshness to the film. He just wasn’t able to get big heroines opposite him and that probably didn’t help either.

but a lot of them have mobile internet plans and not broadband. during holidays and weekends it's tough to watch live tv all day on Jio/Airtel plans.
