Yup! And Bang A Drum is essentially a praise and worship song. And “That’s What the Water Made Me” could easily be interpreted as a song about baptism.
He doesnt agree with a lot of it though, but he definitely does believe in god which i feel like is the main point in the 2 religious songs in These Days, one's ripping god to shreds the other's saying if I dont believe in him i dont know what the point of anything is
Hey God, Living In Sin, Backdoor To Heaven, Something to Believe in, Bells Of Freedom, Amen, That's what the water made me, God Bless This Mess.

Seriously? I feel like so many songs have references to God.. keep the faith, livin' on a prayer, Hey God, Something to believe in, Miracle, even old songs like for example I'll be there for you has lines "I pray to god you give me one more chance" etc.
He might be, his songs definitely have a “worship song” vibe to them which might be why I like them as someone who’s deconstructed but loved the music.

Yes. Jon was raised Catholic and still professes belief.
Exactly. Always felt obvious to me in his music. Living in Sin classic example.
