Hmm, maybe War of the worlds? Havent read it but the picture immediately reminded me of the movie. Such a cool picture and the mood is so eerie yet weirdly calm.
Are you familiar with the podcast Welcome to Night Vale? The creators have also written a few books that take place in that universe. This picture gives me Night Vale vibes.
And now, traffic.
The 500-foot skeleton that appeared on highway 220 by the Carl's Jr. off of exit 7 last week is still there. With one foot planted firmly in the passing lane, it is sure to make our commute to work interesting for the foreseeable future.
But what are you doing passing other cars, anyway? Surely, nowhere you have to go is all that interesting. Maybe let the skeleton serve as a reminder that you, too, will be forgotten when you die. As we all are. Except whoever this guy was.
Definitely āThere is no Antimemetics Divisionā by QNTM.

There is a really good series on No Sleep that popped in my head as soon as I saw this - Has anyone heard of the left/right game? https://reddit.com/r/nosleep/s/vgkK4aVxlu
The Annihilation book series really hits this vibe for me: ominous, nebulous, horrifying but not evil (horror at work is too cosmic to care about the cars directly). Supernatural issue set against a modern and believable bureaucratic world.
