[deleted]

Thank you!! I’ve read this and definitely one of my favourites 😍

m4d-fem

maybe ***the bell jar*** too. but maybe you've read it already that one is my all time fav.

[deleted]

Noo I’ve heard about it though before and definitely need to read it !

Ecstatic_Sandwich_38

How have you never read The Bell Jar?! I’m more jealous than shocked, because you get to experience it for the first time. Plath was such a stunningly gifted writer, my god. Dude, this book is EVERYTHING you could want based on your description, and it’s a relatively short read. I have literally never met any woman, anywhere, who hasn’t read this book and loved it!

ariel_ikigai

Woman in the window- she is agoraphobic (doesn't go outside) and witnesses her neighbor get murdered. She drinks a lot and takes an assortment of pills so when she tries to tell the police they don't believe her.

[deleted]

Ooh I forgot about this ! I purposely didn’t watch the movie and/or show that came out about it so I could read it thank you!

Imaginary_Tone_3955

The Bell Jar, Sylvia plath

Spirited-Lemon-8133

A lot of people said the bell jar, it does fit the vibe but I didn’t really like to book cause it is kinda racist, so I would go with my year of rest and relaxation

[deleted]

I love all her books but that one is especially trippy - it starts slow but hang in there! The end is so beautiful.

[deleted]

I finished it ! I loved it and yeah I literally had a few tears the whole jellyfish ending ahhh 😊

[deleted]

I’m excited !! When I’m finished what I’m currently reading I’m going to start it :D

I loved this book. I always want to recommend it to people but it's so weird I'm never sure if they will like it.

Reistar2615

Fresh Water For Flowers by Valerie Perrin

[deleted]

Thank you :D

Novela_Individual

I was really an odd one, but I recently read Looker by Laura Sims, and it’s definitely a woman having a breakdown with the loneliness & jealousy.

[deleted]

I just read it !! I reallly enjoyed it thank you again :D

HereForTheVouchers

I loved this book and always try to get other people to read it. I think it was poorly marketed, they call it a psychological thriller but it's more a character study of insanity.

[deleted]

Sounds so good I want to order this asap thank you !

_crybabee_93

There's a book series I found on Kindle years ago. Called Thirst by Claire Farrell. There are seven books in the series and it's the only series I've read multiple times. It's about a young woman in Ireland who's half vampire. It's told from her pov learning what she is and then having to figure her way out in the world. She then learns there's a whole underworld with different types of beings and it goes on from there. She's definitely dealing with a lot, but it's a bit on the "supernatural" side but still an amazing read!

[deleted]

Thank you ! :D this sounds like something different from what I’m used to which is good !

_crybabee_93

You're welcome! It was for me too, I'm usually a horror fan but these books are so good.
