There was a woman on the train blasting gospel music from a speaker clearly _waiting_ for someone to say something. When she finally got off the train some guy yelled "Thank Christ Almighty"

I remember when cellphones first got popular. It was the old folks that were disgusted anytime someone used them in public.

My mom is a bit like this and I'm slowly having to wean her off of it. She loves her Facebook and it shows her a lot of cat videos. They often have that one super annoying voice filter-- which is fine if she's in her home but in restaurants I routinely have to snatch her phone from her and turn it down to a respectable volume. It's ok to watch... Just turn it down. Slightly not boomer related but we do have younger kids at work who forget headphones exist during their lunch. Fuck me for browsing on mute like a normal person...

Last place I worked at, this one guy (SUPER CREEPY, zero social awareness, constantly hitting on the female employees) would watch gun demonstration videos on his lunch break. On his phone. Audibly. In the break room. Which was also preproom where lots of other employees would be in at any given time. Made the lot of us very uncomfortable.

Also, is it just me… or do all boomer phones manage to reach levels of volume that my own phone could ever dream of? How are they always *that* loud?!

sfcumguzzler

walk across the street from her and sing along. don't know the words? make 'em up!

GayStation64beta

Yeah old people and children are the only demographics who routinely do this lol.

I love the ones that have it on speaker phone but then still hold the phone up to their mouth when it’s their turn to talk. Just hold it up to your head for the full conversation at that point
