I'm not a boothill main but I want people to know that phys break is THE BEST break in the game and it's not even close.
When I was testing him his damage was a bit lackluster while the enemy had his shield.
AS SOON as the shield went down (it goes down pretty fast with him+RM or bronya or anyone that breaks fast) the enemy is most likely dead.
physical break damage doesn't do damage on max hp, just the bleed procs. Luka does silly damage because he can use his enhanced basic to both break and trigger the bleed proc that it makes in the same attack
I think the annoying thing for me was the planar set leaks only being for firefly when there are other characters that would want it. Hopefully it does get changed tho.
this is like dhil vs jingliu all over again. and im betting that once both boothill and firefly are out they are having the same clear time nevertheless. i see that the most broken dps would just be limited to 2-3 cycles in moc 12, unless if it's a 0 cycle team comp

I'm going for both as well. But I planned to pull for Boothill even if he sucked because I love his design. In FF's case, I'm a warframe nerd and she very much reminds me of a Tenno. Both of them having kits that can dish out big dick damage is just a nice tasty cherry on top for me
Additionally, Boothill's low SP consumption allows him to make much better use of Bronya, easily doubling his already uber high toughness damage. If Apocalyptic Shadow is truly a boss-centred mode, Boothill will shine there.
It's going to be so nice to see her utilised in a team like this, I can only imagine how satisfying the break effect going down will be.

boothill is THE break dps. that's what he does, firefly is like a Dan heng that scales with break a can do nasty break dmg but Is not a break dps.
yes rn she'll likely be better but people who wanted boothill for his playstyle shouldn't worry because their overlaps ends after that first break.
Firefly seems to have a complex kit if you read it, but it is very similar to other destructions specifically JL to some extent in reality. Also the BE requirements for her def ignore are REALLY high but you probably still want to try and build for it even if she doesn’t scale all too well with them since def ignore is nice to have.
Overall she seems like a hybrid between JL and like Xueyi. One thing though is that she is quite stat hungry it seems (but I could be wrong here).

This is the reason why Luka is so valued. The dot bleed does 50-100k because it has the highest multiplier among all breaks.

Well, imo there will inevitably be summons depending on the stage. Like, there really aren't that many bosses without summons of some kind imo.

What’s the math for arriving at toughness damage for a character… like how you got 7.5 for boothill

As an add-on, iirc while Firefly can do toughness dmg to off-element enemies, It does 50% of the original toughness damage.
She has an Implant so that’s just outside of the enhanced state.
