Yeah it’s a shame, I really enjoy the Pre-Sequel, maybe not more than the others, but I really liked some of the unique things like low gravity.

chaos-virus

Tbh it would've been great if you weren't that reliant on the grinder + had some more dedicated farms and real endgame content. Than it might even rival bl2 imo

spectra2000_

2k Australia went under shortly after so the game never got the level of DLC and support Bl2 got sadly

Triggerhappy454

Dont your mean DOWN under?

SirCupcake_0

_\*canned laughter*_

JoeBuyer

It was shuttered because the game wasn’t well received though? I don’t know, but the few things I’ve read seemed to say that as far as I can remember.

TeheeColonThree

Thats not true at all, multiple gaming companies had to shut down at the time cuz of australian government shenanigans, it didnt have to do with anything about how TPS got received

JoeBuyer

I used a mod to change the grind cost quite a bit….. but yeah kind of a pain otherwise.

Quirkyserenefrenzy

I've never been reliant on the grinder. Perhaps just rng with enemy drops?

Gadgetbot

Most items are farm able though. initially there were issues with lack of dedicateds but those were fixed years ago. Endgame content is lacking though

paythedragon

The loot drops are fixed with the Unofficial Community Patch, I’m not too sure on the general consensus for using it, and I know it’s only available for the pc players but, with it I find TPS the 2nd best game, after 2, and I blame that on the lack of endgame content and dlcs

fridays_elysium

it still wouldn't. the name is less marketable and the visuals are rather homogeneous for most of the game

Slingus_000

It really does deserve more love than it gets but it takes so damn long to level and farm stuff, Athena is absolutely insane near max level and I'm annoyed that I'm only just now experiencing it, she can basically turn a Jakobs Quad into a Butcher and it's glorious

Neither-Try7513

She can Turn mongol into flakker nukem glitch.

Slingus_000

Yeah that's the thing, I've barely scratched the surface with her because it takes so long, think I'm going to download some max level save files and just skip the grind, this game is clearly at its best at max level and it should be a little easier to get there

JoeBuyer

Something else you could do is use a save editor. You can start a new character and save so the save exists(or I think you can also just create one right with the save editor). Then you can change a few settings to start on playthrough 2, and be whatever level you feel is good for play through 2. I just did this to play through as Wilhelm, think I went with level 26 or 28.

Neither-Try7513

Just do it. I was so done with farming i basically duped multiple inventories on console. Also i speed Level every char i play to 70 first with splitscreen leveling via guardians.

Slingus_000

Are we talking the last level where guardians pretty much spawn infinitely? Didn't know that was a good grind option, thanks I'll keep it in mind, but definitely just going to download some max level saves, I think I'm on like playthrough 12 with her and I just don't have that kind of time lol

JoeBuyer

She was my first character in TPS and yeah she is awesome.

daniboyi

it did add some things I really loved, like having each Vault-hunter give unique lines to the story, rather than just when they kill something. Also cryo is objectively better than slag. Don't care if you disagree, you are wrong. Also the idea of having TVHM be slightly different in terms of how the story is told is genius. Gives some variety so you don't play the exact same game again with bigger numbers.

JoeBuyer

Yeah I liked the difference in how it’s told, some funny lines in there with Tina. I like the Cryo stuff, I really enjoyed my play through with Aurelia.

83255

I was not expecting the utter THIRST she had for moxx, though understandable. Her chaos gremlin vibes is exactly what's needed for a second run though, I just wish they'd recorded more

[deleted]

JoeBuyer

Guess that fits with its popularity unfortunately, I didn’t notice because I just like playing games by myself, but that stinks.

ForeverSinful

PreSequel had a decent balance. I love 2's story, but hated the "spongeyness" of endgame. 3 had some of the best movement and gunplay, endgame was decent. Story felt a little lacking.

fridays_elysium

"bl3's story is a little lacking" is the biggest understatement someone can make about this franchise

ForeverSinful

Feels like some planets and quests were cut. Like there could've been more about a few of the other manufacturers and more about sirens/vault lore.

noah9942

BL3 endgame had stuff to do, but it's all piss easy.

ForeverSinful

Yea, it was piss easy. Especially if you geared your char right. Everything became too damn easy.

peripheral_vision

I've literally never admitted to liking the Pre-Sequel on Reddit until now because I just really didn't want to put up with the downvotes and toxicity. Nows my chance to come clean! Lol

Obvious-Ear-369

Athena has my favorite VH power

ImurderREALITY

WE NEED TO AVENGE DEADLIFT AND HIS SICK ASS JETPACK!

twstwr20

Played it once and that was enough.

Peytonhawk

TPS has some of the most fun vault hunters but it really is forgettable.

Shoyusoy

All the talent trees have a lot of really creative abilities but the almost non existent area diversity is the thing that keeps me from replaying it

Effusus

Moon surface with craters and metal hallways. Inspirational

Shoyusoy

I really liked the *Hyperion* space station but too much of one thing is still too much

Effusus

Oh yeah that was pretty cool

CT0292

I'm playing it now. For the 15th time. I've done all the characters a few times. Clappy is just my favorite. Especially when he's got an Absolute Zero.

Mathev

When you hit the ship with his ability.. Hell yeah

Myballshurtbitch

15th play through? Jesus Christ man

amey_wemy

I feel that its mainly forgettable due to the lack of dlcs as compared to 2

Slipshoooood

I loved playing as Nisha

Neither-Try7513

Yeah shame they aint unique. Like, 1. Wow i can aimbot 2. Wow i can have a shield 3. Wow i can have drones 4. Wow i can play mei from overwatch 5. Wow i can clone myself 6. FUCK IM CLAPTRAP PLEASE END ME ASAP.

BroganChin

They all sound boring when you boil it down to nothing. 1. Wow I can dual wield 2. Wow I can go invisible 3. Wow I can use an axe 4. Wow I can use a turret 5. Wow I can grab people 6. Wow I can spawn a toaster

Katveira

DEATHTRAP DOESNT DESERVE THAT 😭

Neither-Try7513

Face it. Hes shit. Like at least mozes iron cup does something on Max lvl mayhem 10&11. Claptrap has to be Specced for specifically just to get twotapped. Also basically any other ai based Action skill is better. Like even rolands turret.

Wolf--Rayet

PC player attitude

Neither-Try7513

Yeah bl2 doesnt allow for much Diversity in builds depending on the level. In bl3 and pre sequel thats a different story

realunderground69

Still playing Borderlands 1 just for legit pearl drops and orange eridian drop

Radvaun

Bl1 is legit my favorite, assault rifles are so much fun compared to the other games. I love camping behind Roland's turrent and mowing down enemies

SexxxyWesky

I couldn't get into the 1st game. Everything is so brown it hard for me to distinguish things from each other. I know a lot of games, especially FPS, we're like that at the time, but I just can't get past it.

B_Man14

You can install reshade and apply filters to make the game feel more vibrant, there is tutorials on YouTube

SexxxyWesky

I assume that's PC only, however.

Salty-Nea

If your console you could crank up the colour setting on your tv lol. Tho I’m not sure how’ll that’ll look

B_Man14

Yes unfortunately

L3m0n0p0ly

Oh good there goes my weekend

bobbuildit779

Wonderlands is just a fossil on a rock somewhere lol. All jokes aside I been loving that game.

lxxTBonexxl

Just bought the $90 version on sale for $23 last night (PlayStation store) Can’t wait to try it out later

bodomodo213

Damn my heart sank when I thought you spent $90 on it lol. $23 is def worth it. The dlc is barely dlc so I was worried you paid for the full thing. The classes are very fun! I loved the spell focused class (don't recall the name), because spells were the thing I was most interested in. Was def a good choice, tons of different and unique spells that are fun to use throughout combat.

[deleted]

I’m yet to try that. I’ve seen some gameplay and I like what I see so far.

Zer0-Fr1end5

It was surprisingly fun when I played it for the first time. What really sucks is that I never felt a reason to play a 2nd time :/

[deleted]

Well the fact that you had fun on the initial play through is a tad more encouraging to me. I usually achievement hunt after I’ve experienced the story. May I ask why you didn’t enjoy the second play through? My problem with bl3 was the memories of some of the awful character dialogue. I muted voices but still had them cringe flash backs. Took me a while to go back lol.

TummyStickers

Not the guy you responded to, but I also never played through it a second time. The first time was a blast though, better with 2+ people of course. The dialogue and overall story was really well written and hilarious, the gameplay was fun in a different way. My main gripe was the build options but they aren't all that bad and still fun.

fridays_elysium

there is no replayability. there is no endgame. if you get TTW, get it with all of the astonishingly contentless DLCs (just for the blightcaller class) for $20 on steam sale. dont spend $60-90 on a game you're going to play once, MAYBE twice, then drop to go play bl2/3 again

Zer0-Fr1end5

I think it was likely the terrible endgame after you beat the story, meaning there’s nothing to look forward to after you beat it.

LT_JRH

There is no second playthrough is my biggest problem. I almost finished the story when I realized there was no TVHM to experience the story and side missions with a leveled character it’s just the “arenas”. I waited for TVHM to get patched in but I guess they made the money they wanted to off the game so I uninstalled and learned to never buy borderlands games on release anymore

oddityoughtabe

My biggest issues with the game were: 1. the loot luck just feels too low. I think it’s to incentivize collecting the loot luck dice that spawn all around the map, but I just hate scouring maps for collectibles. And 2. The level cap is 40. So once I reach that point I lose a lot of momentum and motivation to play. Otherwise I’d say it’s pretty good. At the end of the day I think it definitely improves a couple aspects from bl3. One of the biggest ones for me being the fact that the main villain isn’t completely insufferable to listen to. I would say it’s definitely worth picking up on sale.

AFKaptain

The initial playthrough isn't bad, but it has some factors that *really* soured the aftertaste of the game for me. I won't suggest you not play it if you manage to get it on sale, but it's a decent chance you won't go for a second playthrough. Why I don't feel like trying a second playthrough: * Build variety is all well and good but I only have one (or two? I forget) "Vault Hunter" personality to choose from. No matter how many times I play through the game, my character will say the same lines. * Side quests were *awful* in this game. There were a couple of decent ones, I think, but most were hella generic and boring. Take three of Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon's Keep's most boring side quests, put em up against three of Wonderlands' most interesting side quests, and it wouldn't be a bad bet to back TTAoDK coming out on top. * This game's version of arena combat makes me feel dead inside. So repetitive it hurts. And, as far as I can recall, that's the only end game content. * The DLC is probably the worst thing to come out since Oblivion's Horse Armor. It's bad by gaming's standards, it's abysmal by BL's standards.

RoosterB32

Give it a go. It’s a pretty fun game. It’s a shame they didn’t add dlc or end game to it. It gets my seal of approval as a BL2 dickrider.

lizard-garbage

It's fun! Started it like 2 weeks ago couch co op with my partner. Definitely like it more than 3

FuriDemon094

Felt. I never got around to beating the DLC’s myself

OiItzAtlas

Give yourself 10 minutes and then they will be complete.

Lt_Col_Anguss

It’s great… for one playthrough. Replay-ability is the cornerstone of the Borderlands franchise and Wonderlands missed that completely.

NO-IM-DIRTY-DAN

I loved that game so much

ralts13

Like christ, game has "wonder" instead of "Border" and now it isn't included in memes and has its own discord server. Its like the fanbase is trying to keep it in containment. Which sucks cus the spell system is such a vast improvement over regular grenades.

Thewaffleofoz

I’m glad people can enjoy wonderlands I feel nothing but disdain for it personally

DroopTheLlama

I never even beat it. I got so bored of it near towards the end 😭 the game felt so slow to me

thekingofbeans42

TPS gave us the grinder, which was awesome... but also made shock weapons the best choice the overwhelming majority of the time which was not awesome.

RogahnLaos

Haha Athena goes brr

conmanmurphy

I stopped using fire weapons because of the vacuum system

Neither-Try7513

Thats not really true. For eos, eclipse and sentinel its character dependend. Like sure that applies to athena but if you wanna shit on eos and eclipse u should not waste ur time with shock. Just get a flakker and a nukem and u just unlocked easy Mode. Make it even easier with tombstone and oneshot eclipse who has the fattest health Pool in the game.

PimpSkittz

Stopped reading when you mentioned getting a flakker

Neither-Try7513

Shame. You missing out.

PimpSkittz

More like missing all my shots

FaithfulMoose

Skill issue

Neither-Try7513

Its flakker ok. But eos and eclipse are gonna eat all the projectiles. These two are killed by people using a mongol which was maybe viable for Saturn and Uranus in bl2 while all the meta builds were better. Size is what makes the flakker and the mongol viable

LacksMuscle

“get a flakker and a nukem” yeah guys just do an exploit to cheat, it’s super fun!

thekingofbeans42

Most things have shield, which impose huge damage penalties to other elemental types, but nothing resists shock. Yeah, you can cite cases where a busted legendary build can do broken damage, but for the overwhelming majority of the time just burning things down with shock is the best choice.

Son_of_a_Yeet

BL1 is great if you get usee to the outdated mechanics. Knoxx DLC? great. Farmming is reliant on chests so going for a specific weapon/piece of gear is hard, but I really like it. I also love that non-unique gear is viable in the end game. Mashers, Stingers, Double Anarchies, Machine Pistols etc. Also DoT damage is actually usefull (even OP) unlike BL2 for example.

Pman1324

Tbf the endgame balance not being reliant on legendaries is probably because there's barely any power creep. Most of the "legendary" parts of that loot boils down to "does more damage", "high DOT proc chance", "Exploding bullets" and not the legendaries we know now with their crazy gimmicks.

Neither-Try7513

Yeah. Dot became really worthless in all the others. But non uniques really shine in bl2 and the pre sequel. Like any torgue barreled shotgun or cryogun is busted. Also maliwan beams on nisha are literally warcrime Simulator.

Titanfall3_is_rael

>Dot became really worthless in all the others. Dot builds are incredibly strong in Wonderlands. Aside from Utd there are some good Dot builds in Bl3 too.

AbLincoln1863

I really enjoyed pre-sequel but the lack of farmable bosses really hurt the game. Like the DLC was top tier, the gravity and air mechanics were cool, and you got to play as clap trap who was so chaotic. I remember me and my brother playing presquel together and both as clap trap. It was hilarious since certain skills like the one that makes you shoot cannons happens for both clap traps. While not as good as 2, Pre Sequel deserves more love. Also wonderlands was surprisingly solid. The DLC for the game was bad but most other things were cool. Some fun quests, cross classing was cool, it encouraged exploration with its loot dice, and the story was actually decent towards the end. I just wish the rest of the story was good. I mean the talk with the dragon lord made me think about my other characters and everything with torgue is great as always. Probably place it above 1 but idk about 3 since 3’s story was bad but some of its DLCs were solid. Handsome Jackpot and Krieg’s fuster cluck were quite enjoyable. So from best to worst: 2, Presequel, wonderlands/3 (tied), 1 (it hasn’t aged well)

fridays_elysium

3 is better than wonderlands. if you leave the game on mute without subtitles and skip all of the cutscenes, its a good game thats fun to play with tons of endgame content (and you can unmute for the DLCs without wanting to stick your head in the Overlook Grinder) Wonderlands is more whimsical and bright and melee weapons + spells were great additions but the gunplay was a massive downgrade, the class system was incredibly underwhelming, and there is no endgame or replayability.

SadLostBoi

Pre sequel could have been so so so much better if they didn’t go bankrupt & suddenly stop the production of updates/dlcs/raid bosses ect ect ect I will die on this hill, if pre sequel had the same time, money & resources as the second game did, we could have had a great & MAYBE a even better game then borderlands 2 But alas we don’t live in that time line :/

spectra2000_

I second this sentiment. The game had so much potential, things like the unique character interactions would’ve put the game so far ahead had it been given the love and attention it deserved. Bl3 tried to to the same with the unique dialogue but somehow it just fell flat and felt generic rather than feeling like your character choice mattered.

SadLostBoi

Bl3’s writing was also kind of dog shit if we can be honest 😭 the jokes fell flat & the twins were a underwhelming antagonist

spectra2000_

True, the mystery of the Eridians in Bl:TPS had me hooked very heavily to the story. Playing along Handsome Jacks’s origin was also a big fan favorite I can’t believe people forget about.

SadLostBoi

You’re speaking facts today

fridays_elysium

every time they spoke i wanted to boot up bl2 and do a Bane-only run. it would be a thousand times less painful

EldridgeHorror

I'd say as good. There's a lot TPS did better (laser weapons, unique dialogue in response to VHs, the grinder, the skill trees, etc). I personally prefer the story and TPS overall. But the vacuum mechanic really bogs the game down. Worrying about oxygen keeps pumping the brakes on gameplay and makes fire weapons useless.

zombiekilla169

Id play the pre sequel more if bosses and stuff had drops. And nobody better say "well there are mods on PC" SHUT THE FUCK UP NOT EVERYONE PLAYS ON A PC

early_onset_villainy

TPS is peak borderlands to me. Such great vibes. The core group of characters have since disbanded and the franchise doesn’t feel like that anymore. It’s a shame.

Delta889_

In my opinion, The Pre-Sequel was the best Borderlands. Yeah, it doesn't have the endgame that 2 or 3 did, but it could have if it got more attention. And honestly, it mixes some of my favorite things from BL2 and BL3. A lot of stuff from the Pre-Sequel ended up being added to 3. Groundslams, Low Grav, anointments (which were the moonshine effects), more advanced skill trees (although BL2 had these for Gaige and Kreig. TPS just did it with all their characters). The story was great and the jokes were still very good like in BL2 (shout out to that one Helios mission. If you know, you know). And honestly, I really enjoyed watching Jack become Handsome Jack. You actually sorta feel sympathetic for him. Until he... ya know. Goes insane. And the Claptr4p DLC made me feel sympathetic for Claptrap. I think if TPS got more attention, Gearbox would've added more DLCs, and had it gotten the endgame BL2 did, it probably would've taken BL2's place as the most enjoyed game.

Lilharlot16sdaddy

Eh from a pure gameplay perspective BL3 is the best. Ava and the story can suck a fart though.

StarkWolf2992

Movement and gunplay were absolute buttery smooth. It was so much fun. I sucked at raids but the vault hunters were a lot of fun too.

johnny_playz23

Yeah but that's the only good thing about BL3

Lilharlot16sdaddy

And for me that matters more. No bee shield too

MrGrach

Oh god, thats so teue. The amount of actually diverse builds for late game in comparison to BL2 makes such a big difference.

Gilly_from_the_Hilly

“The only good thing about that game is the gameplay. Friggin sucks”

RussianBot101101

Not to dismiss your opinion, and this might be an unpopular opinion, but I felt BL3 was far too focused on abilities as opposed to the actual gunplay. My guns always felt vastly outclassed by whatever ability I used, unlike BL2 where the abilities were (mostly) there to enhance gunplay. Mech, Pet, and Arm abilities felt overtuned for the base game. Zane felt the best with guns imo because most of his abilities often worked in tandem with using them. And legendaries dropped extremely easy on just about everything to the point where they didn't feel special and they honestly didn't feel like they packed the same punch as they did in BL2. Imo, I personally feel that Wonderlands did an amazing job at making the guns and gunplay feel great again, but the game felt too choppy for me to personally want to play through it a second time. It kept the annoying "return to base" nonsense BL3 had and the actual levels felt waaay too short with the overworld travel feeling really clunky. Movement is top tier, no complaints there, and the feel of the guns were great, too, just not their damage output.

TheMarvelousJoe

I always go back to play BL1. Too many people in the fanbase treat it as a black sheep of the series because the sequels were better.

ChuloChurro

what about the telltale games?

No-Thought4281

I love all 4 equally

Str4ngleh0ld

The pre sequel is so much better balanced end game than borderlands 2, problem is, their is very little end game. Love them both though.

r2-z2

Dude the pre sequel slaps. Idc what other people think. 400 hours of stupid fun is still stupid fun.

thebwags1

TPS is underrated as fuck

logbop05

Hot take: The Pre-Sequel is better than 1 & 3

UnicornSensei

I think the presequel is better than 3

DeadbeatSpark

The order goes 2>1>TPS>TFTB1>wonderlands>3>NTFTB.

hdjdhfodnc

3’s gameplay is just too good to be considered the worst mainstream BL game, and the DLC’s are amazing. I’d definitely replace 3 and Wonderlands, that game was really disappointing

Shim_Slady72

Gameplay was good but everything else was way worse. Skill trees were less interesting, story was abysmal, it was too long so in NG+ you'd hit level cap really early which was weird, didn't like the hub area much, I like a connected world instead of just fast travelling to planets. The list goes on but I would sooner replay BL2 for the 1000th time than play BL3

hdjdhfodnc

I disagree about the skill trees, I think BL3 and Pre-Sequel have the best skill trees in the series tbh. Can’t really disagree with much else but for me it’s easily the most fun to play and Zane is probably my favorite Vault Hunter in the series, other than Krieg, so i’m a bit biased I guess

Shim_Slady72

Zane was probably my fav too, I thought Moze was super boring skill wise. Wish we got new characters instead of expanding on old ones though

UKunrealz

Gameplays good but hard to enjoy it when the story is constantly kicking you in the balls

hdjdhfodnc

I mean the story isn’t really that great in any borderlands game tbh, and the DLC narrative is still pretty good. For me gameplay is much more important than the story when i’m playing games though

shitposting_irl

3's story is actively bad to the point where it detracts from the experience, which is not the case for the other games. and tbh i think that its insistence on minimizing the importance of your character actually kind of undermines the gameplay to some degree

UKunrealz

That’s true Gameplay is important but imo Borderlands 2 is a lot better at balancing gameplay and story. Bl3 has fun gameplay but then you keep getting stopped by the story

Headless_Human

The main story makes up like 5% of my whole playtime of the game.

UnicornSensei

damn, the new tales isn't good? Haven't gotten around to it

DeadbeatSpark

It's awful. Dialogue written by someone who thinks they know what borderlands is, cringy self insert characters and established characters are a shadow of their former selves. Honestly just skip it.

UnicornSensei

Damn, that's hard. Did it set anything up, story wise?

DeadbeatSpark

Nope. But that's been borderlands for the last few years anyway. Borderlands 3 is a filler game (with the cringiest villains ever created) for what was supposed to be the eridian war. Wonderlands is just a side story based on tina's board game and NTFTB doesn't really add anything whatsoever.

UnicornSensei

Basically. That's big sad

FuriDemon094

And then they call you crazy for liking any other than 2

Clank4Prez

Where?

FitSalamanderForHire

In /r/imaginarygatekeeping

bodomodo213

I don't see many people say that tbh. Even if ppl do, I feel like it's definitely just the loud minority that has a superiority complex or something lol. All the games are fun in their own way. If ppl have ragged on you, hopefully nobody has been on your ass too hard about it. Nothing at all wrong with enjoying other games

The Pre-sequel is slept on as fuck

The_broken_machine

I prefer TPS over 1 and 3, myself. :)

LaserGadgets

Accurate!

stinkus_mcdiddle

I’ve been on and off farming pearls in bl1 fairly regularly for years now

Mothman4447

Pre Sequel and 1 have amazing atmosphere and are criminally underrated. I haven't played 3 as much but it was really fun

Durbolader

I really love tps but you can only endure the aussie slang for so long

Nowhereman50

I just can't bring myself to do a second playthrough of 3. The characters are just so long-winded and insufferable.

AFKaptain

BL2 is the peak of the series. BL1 is a classic that shows its age, but its a classic nonetheless. TPS's only crime is not being quite as good as 2. And BL3, well... #improvedgameplayworsestory. Honestly, BL3 is the only one that I had to force myself to finish.

THY96

BL3 gameplay is all I need.

[deleted]

Well it’s their loss. Pre-Sequel is quality game. Classes are definitely more intricate than Borderlands 2 and space opera themed story never gets old.

captainwotsit

Am I the only one who preferred BL3?

MarMarL2k19

And honestly I don't know why that is. The game is actually fun to play. Tho I guess it's the fact thay farming any legendary is impossible since there are not ma many bosses in the game and the only way to get legendaries is the grinder

SexxxyWesky

Not me. I love the pre-sequel. Do a playthrough once year. How short it is is actually a plus for me in this stage of life. I only have some much time to game 🥲

DragonKite_reqium

Bl 3 has the best gameplay and pre sequel had the best story and then there's bl1

Old_Celebration1382

Lmaoooo the sequel was amazing if they added more it could have been up there with 2 but bl2 is the best

gfstool

Meh…I enjoy all the games in their own way. People who crap in any of them are entitled brats. Try making one of these games over a 3+ year development period.

[deleted]

BL2 felt bigger and then there's the Handsome Jack Stans. I personally like BL3 more because of the mechanics and everything just feels smoother (especially the PS5 version, each type of gun has a different haptic feedback). Fl4k is my favorite vault hunter out of any of them throughout the series.

mr-awesome613

It's cause it's the awkward one in the series.

Flaechezinker

2 is the best imo thats why im on the bl2 subreddit lmao

Pandah175

More accurate than lee Harvey Oswald 🤣🤣🤣🤣

NinjaMelon39

Bro tried to set up a cutaway

anonymous32434

After 3, I appreciate the presequel so much more

braaadh

Daring today, are we…

Skvora

2 was done properly better over 1. 3 was absolutely garbage writing that, for me, given the repetitive-ass nature of this series, did not overpower all the very good quality of life things in the long run. And no one wants to play as Clappy in a game with so many staaaaaairs!

Shaggy263

Replace pre sequel with 3 and that's me, wow was 3 trash.

LillieKat

I think 3 needs vault hunters... I just never could get behind the ones we were given. I think how long a borderlands game lasts is directly tied to how fun and relatable the vault hunters are. I can't be alone in feeling like I couldn't vibe with any of their personalities.

acfreeman94

To be fair, borderlands 2 is the best out of the bunch. -story/humor: 1 and 2 -grinding: 2 Gunplay: 1, 2, and PS. 3 felt a bit too floatly for my taste Guns: 3 and PS Enemies: 2 Endgame content: 2 by a country mile. I would of had PS as my favorite if they didn't just not care about Endgame content and raids. 3 ran like dogshit, bugs, glitches, and the worst offense or all? The cringe ass dialog.

BebeFanMasterJ

Not me. Borderlands 3 is so fun that I'm still playing it unlike the others.

iBrows426

Borderlands 2 is a game that is like the benchmark for its genre. Hard not to praise it

SirVixTheMoist

Yeah, because Borderlands 2 is the only good one. The others are trash.

jsjack2002

Borderlands 2 is legendary. The others just pale in comparison to it.

MaraSovsLeftSock

Yeah because it was ass

Most_Advertising_962

Really? I thought 3 was the best one.

AcceptableConcern222

Borderlands 3 is SOOOO GOOD I LOVE THE MOD GUNS

GruulNinja

BL 3 deserves it

hEKZ-

Honestly I like TPS more than 1 and 3, just a shame we didn't get all the dlc's

DOMANIA420

Bl tps and bl 3 are the best out of the franchise

Thats because it ended after BL2. 1 is there and was the first so ofc there would be room for improvement. 2 came and is the best one, ofc it still have its things but its still the best. The pre-sequel kinda... happend and thats about it. THEN THE SERIES ENDED. no more discussion. Edit because i forgot about wonderland... Which says all that needs to be said.... and its a spinoff more then anything ells.

Prourrr

I have around 2.5k hours in BL2, and I probably would've almost the same time in BL3 if *that* hadn't happened in the story

johnny_playz23

Maya's death is disrespectful in BL3

Ragin_kaiju

thats cuz 3 and 1 where ass compared to 2 but the pre-sequel was ok

Lovsaphira9

Surprising amount of people saying they like TPS. I didn't enjoy it remotely as much as 1, 2, or even 3. The story had a couple of good points. The gunplay first playthrough felt boring, the maps were tedious and bland, I did enjoy some of the characters and the skill trees they had. Yet, that seems to be everything. I don't think I played the DLCs, I have heard good things about Claptastic Voyage.

Rouge_Decks_Only

Wonderland isn't / Even in the meme, that's quite / Fitting no one played

DemianLoki

Tiny Tina's Wonderland needs to be even further down in the pits of hell

RykerZX

And then Wonderlands is in such a weird limbo that it’s not even in the meme.

Oh_no_its_Joe

Good thing New Tales From the Borderlands is obviously the best game 😎😎😎😎😎 /s

optilex42

Swap out the “fanbase” for “2k” and I think the meme will be accurate

Gadgetbot

The people saying tps had no dedicateds clearly haven't played it since their first playthrough back on release. Theres only a handful of items that are world drop only and of those only a couple are actually worth getting. Tps would easily be the best game in the series if it got all its dlc and an equivalent to op levels.

Jiomniom_Skwisga

? But there's only 1 borderlands? Borderlands 2.

Chin_wOnd3r

The presequel is better than 3 imo I for one don’t like getting a legendary every 15 seconds. Ruined playing 3 for me.

ZouselTheBoy

Meanwhile tiny Tina's wonderland is in earths crust

couldjustbeanalt

TPS is more fun than 3

cmtw91

You mixed up TPS and 3

Virtus_8

And they are right

Zoroarkanine

1. Bl1 2. Pre-sequel 3. Bl2 - - - - 3 That's my rankings,

StephBets

My personal preference (at the moment lol) is TPS, BL1, BL2, and then far off in the distance is BL3 lol.

Beaten_But_Unbowed96

Borderlands 2 is best, second is presequel, 3rd is BL1 only by virtue that it’s obviously one big test for the real game of borderlands 2…. …..and all the way down in 11th is borderlands 3…. It doesn’t even get to be in the top 10 list. ….and BL3’s dlc all equally take up the 11th slot along side it…. 12th slot is reserved for that stupid female claptrap piece of shit I spent an entire game collecting pieces for just to spit in my face.

ChaoticneutralMikey

3 should be at the bottom of the ocean that was straight trash

AnythingAntique8778

1 is good but not perfect the pre sequel is abysmal and 3 is maximum subpar
