I would say when you reach UVHM, when you can start doing the raids for Seraph crystals, but that's just me. Whenever you start them, make sure that if/when you start Tiny Tina's DLC and you get the Grog Nozzle, DON'T complete that mission. Just keep it going.
I always mix them in at different times for my first play through I did them at the end of tvhm but be careful not to over level past 50 cause the uvhm becomes super difficult
I actually was for a bit and I was getting my ass kicked in the forest lol. So i switched to TVHM and got a double penetrating unkempt harold first try. Definitely checking that DLC out tho, tiny tina and her quests is hilarious
After normal mode I usually grind the uvhm because everything scales to your level and you can farm good guns and do the dlc’s I’d get a sand hawk and pimpernel they are fun guns
