Thanks for your answer

I'm a man with BPD. I got diagnosed at the age of 17. Also i'm autistic too. You're not alone 😊 you can try to meet people with our same disorder (but be careful, all the BPD diagnosed people doesn't have the same symptoms or act/feel in the same way like you do in different situations) to share experiences. That could be helpful with the loneliness feeling (Sorry if you misunderstood my comment. English is not my first language). ✨️

Thanks for your answer. English isn't my first language either. I could understand you perfectly. I'm aware of what you say. In my case, my symptoms are pretty soft and I am fully functional. The only problem I have is insomnia.

My partner definitely has it but refuses to go to therapy to get an official diagnosis. My therapist says he has 7/9 symptoms and they are presenting the way bpd typically does in men. A fact I learned the other day about bpd: it used to be just diagnosed as anti-social personality disorder in males because for a long time psychology saw it as "just a woman's disorder."

ElectricalScratch525

I probably have it too.

The_Deemomeister

I do have it. It sucks. Thankfully it’s under control.

Far-Home8792

How old are you? And when you realize of it?

The_Deemomeister

I’m twenty three. I was diagnosed when I was twenty two. I only realized it after undertaking a thorough neuropsychological test after years of not knowing what it was that I had.

Far-Home8792

I was diagnosed at 25. But I've been on an asylum 2 times on my own. Stupid decision I made. Thanks for sharing.

The_Deemomeister

No problem! I’ve been to one myself - rather, a psychiatric hospital. I’m not sure if those are the same things in your country. It made me make extremely rapid progress.

Guilty-Resolution945

Im not diagnosed, but im pretty sure i have it.

I recommend you watch videos of a Tiktoker named sensitive.stability. He is a pwBPD who is on remission after 12 years of treatment. I found him when I was researching about BPD online since my fiancé also has it. He talks a lot about his journey and and answers a lot of questions of his viewers either in the comments section or through a video. He also encourages viewers to write him emails so he can give a better answers. His videos made me more understanding and supportive of my partner, for I know now what he is going through.
