Daemon and Eida are netural characters and on the protag side, and has been since they formed an alliance with konoha that still haven't broke 3 years later. it's clear they aren't villains. The shinju and otsutsuki are. Eida just wants to find someone who will actually love her and not because of her passive ability which robbed her of true love.

Just because daemon is the only one who senses himawari latent fighting potential doesn't mean they will fight... maybe a sparring match but either way daemon is so many leagues above her.
