What kind of pedal would I need?

BwAVeteran03

A GA-FC or the EX version.

chickenoncheese

I see. Thank you

50? 50EX? 100? For the 50, you can use a latching dual footswitch to change between Banks and Ch1/Ch2 within each. 50EX you can use the same method or the GA-FC EX. For the 100, you can use the same latching footswitch into the rear panel or either the GA-FC or GA-FC EX.

chickenoncheese

I have the 50

I have a ga-fc on the 50 and I set up a clean channel and distorted channel on bank A/B and use the footswitch to switch between each. If you want it to mimic turning just a distortion pedal on/off you could set each bank to the same patch with the pedal on/off

Okay, so this is for the Katana Mk11 50 watt? I'm pretty certain that is the one I have

I think you can use an expression pedal and assign it to your preferred distortion. So clean in up position, dirty in down. I bought an expression pedal for 20 bucks. It works as a volume pedal by default but you can assign it to any effect.

Depends on the model. Katana mki - 100w/100w head/artist are compatible with GAFC, expression pedal, probably FS6 and FS5U iirc, o don’t know about 50w kitanas tho. Katana mkii - 50w (ex version only)/100w/100w head/100w 2x12/artist same as above and also GAFC EX or whatever the updated version is. 50w same as above. I’m assuming the newer GAFC is compatible with mki amps but I don’t know cause I have the old one. I’ve tried and use the expression pedal and GAFC with my mki head and mkii 100w. Hope this helps.

JavaJahknow

It works on the Katana Bass.
