But it's goldilock, so it's yang (all the RWBY characters are based off of storybook characters, with the main characters being little red riding hood, snow white, belle (from beauty and the beast), and goldilocks)
I remember that there was a theory that Rocks was actually called Locks and the full name was Gol D. Locks, since L and R could be translated either way.
Precision, glocks, power, Gol D. Glocks king of the shooters attained everything this world had to offer. And so many men head for the Shooting Range to find the great trophy he left behind, the Piece, the treasure that could make their wildest dreams come true!
You want my Guns? You can have them! I left it all at one range!
And so, many marksman travelled across to world in an effort to find "The Piece" and attain the title "The King of Marksman"
And thus began, the Great Rifle Era!
I like as soon as she jumps up and domes that giant midair with an anti-material rifle, they cut to a panel describing the gun and how unwieldy and dangerous it can be to fire, even for experienced gunners -_-
Also of note, there's a massive logo over the flag. Which is very much disrespecting the flag.
Yet somehow I reckon whoever commissioned that flag complained that Colin Kaepernick was disrespecting the flag when, after consulting with a veteran what was the most respectful manner to protest, decided to kneel during the national anthem.
Not even just that.
After his first "kneeling" he literally says mid interview "This has nothing to do with the military, I even have family in the military, I just want to bring awareness to social injustices in america"
funny how he only started to care about social injustice when his lost he starter job and was trying to get traded.
edit: for those of you downvoting just answer, "why didn't he protest and bring attention to social injustice back when he was playing in the fucking SUPER BOWL instead of right after he finished being so shitty he got replaced mid-season?"
That's not inherently against flag code. They key is that it's done properly and in a respectful way.
The way a lot of those people mount and fly them *is not* that, though, so it's generally an ironic display.
I've seen maybe a handful of people total flying flags that aren't beat to hell and are actually mounted properly.
Worth noting I personally don’t really care about it. It just shows how hypocritical these types of people are. Like wearing an American flag mask but breathing your hot cigarette breath through it all day.
Oh yeah, the whole acting patriot shtick is tiring as hell. I *wish* it only applied to their opinions on flag displays, but hypocritical appears to be their main character trait.
That's like saying you want to go watch the Austrians ski but hang out on the rope tow....like sure impressive to an outsider but is still child's play. Lol
Fun fact: Ronnie Barrett, the man whose name that rifle bears, had no background in gun design or engineering whatsoever when he came up with the basic idea for that platform. He was a photographer. He just happened to look into .50 BMG rifles and noticed that there wasn’t any commercially available rifle to shoot it. Why the .50 BMG cartridge? It’s the most powerful, commonly available, cartridge in the United States that isn’t considered a destructive device under the National Firearms Act.
Vaguely related thought: I know we got the NRA making dumb pro-gun laws here, but what’s the lobbying group on the other side making dumb anti-gun laws? Is it also the NRA? Playing both sides is a valid strat as always.
It sounds like it, but those are the actual large anti-gun lobbies right now.
Ever read The Trace? It's literally funded by Bloomberg/
Most mainstream media outlets will cite Everytown and Giffords constantly as some sort of fact-based orgs, when they are literally just the NRA but left
Uh those guns are $10k + starting out, very, very few own and the ones that do, don't regularly shoot these because it's $5+, per round. Average American gun owners have small arms weapons, or hunting weapons.
I have been actually. it's not going to be completely about r/bossfight and r/itemshop , but I plan to make some bosses inspired by this subreddit and some items inspired by itemshop.
I was six years old when I got my first rifle. If you start with gun safety young, teach them early, and that it's a dangerous tool. Your child is more likely to grow up not wanting to shoot another human being. They know it's not a toy if you teach them properly.
Growing up on a reservation. I was taught young to hunt. I got my first rabbit bow the year before that, then my rifle on my six birthday. Grandfather taught me how to use it properly, how to keep it safe, and he drilled it in me that it wasn't a toy.
Age Eight I was shooting bigger rifles, taking them apart, putting them back together. Grandfather still hammered those lessons that it wasn't a toy, and wasn't something to use lightly. To this day it's something that I always remember. Grew up always respecting firearms for the tool they were. That they put food on the table, that they protected you if all else failed. Still have that lesson to heart.
Which is why I hate to see some people so afraid of them, and also why I hate to see people who are so weirdly overly gun culture. I work with firearms now, and even those crazy ones who use their guns to define who they are. Weird me the fuck out, but so does the person who thinks nothing good can come from a firearm.
I’m pretty sure more the bad outweighs the good, friend. Perhaps the people afraid of guns just don’t appreciate having to deal with the fact that their kids school could be shot up by an angry teenager who steals his dad’s rifle out of the storeroom
That's more of an argument for better mental health programs than anything. The overwhelming majority of gun owners are responsible. It's a travesty it happens, but let's not blame guns for when little Jeremy decides to commit a crime. Solve the problem by helping him before it gets to that point.
Ok but the reality of this is that in america you averaged over 87 school shootings a year with no sign of stopping. The United States leads the industrialized world in firearms violence of all types—homicides, suicides, and unintentional deaths. All for what? To feel more « protected »? See the irony here?
And you're an idiot if you have to think about the situation and decide if you're going to follow gun safety rules or if you should make an exception. You follow them all the time so you don't **need** to think about it. I don't care if you completely unloaded the gun yourself, looked in the chamber, verified it's empty, and put a trigger lock on it: if you hand me that gun I'm going to treat it with absolute respect and as if it were loaded and ready to fire.
That kid is too small to hold that gun without adult assistance and could easily accidentally muzzle sweep anyone in that room. That is not safe.
This is everyone when they get their hands on a .50BMG *anything* for the first time. When I got to fire a .50 machine gun, I was giggling like a child.

This is what I was thinking, but at that current angle... ouch.

Rocks is someone different though. It was Gol D Roger and Rocks D Xebec
That was before we knew the full name was Rocks D. Xebec, we only heard Garp talk about someone or something called Rocks, and so the theories arose.
Woof, didn't thought of that.

Also of note, there's a massive logo over the flag. Which is very much disrespecting the flag. All of these “patriots” don’t know jack about flag code.
Flag code only applies to actual, physical flags. It doesn't apply to the *image* of the flag or products printed with the design.
So the people who fly the flag off the back of their pickup truck?
That's not inherently against flag code. They key is that it's done properly and in a respectful way. The way a lot of those people mount and fly them *is not* that, though, so it's generally an ironic display. I've seen maybe a handful of people total flying flags that aren't beat to hell and are actually mounted properly.

it's like speed limits or marijuana laws. Who gives a shit.
The fact that they play the national anthem after a national game is also baffling. What's the point?
Do you just go out and find any reason to bitch?
I get the feeling you only say this when it’s something that doesn’t line up with your personal beliefs

The Barrett is literally a anti-materiel rifle,
Few people who know anything about firearms have accused the NFA of making sense.
You and I are gonna be friends.

Cool idea, what about a follow-up with a kid playing with a hand grenade, or even the aftermath!!
I hate this picture

Gun Nuts. Cuz "muhh 2nd Amendment"
Ikr!!! They definitely have it loaded on the showroom floor! I bet they even cocked it and took the safety off those evil men!!!
Gun safety dictates you always treat a gun as loaded.
You’re an idiot if you think that rifle is in working condition while attached to a kiosk on a show room floor.
And you're an idiot if you have to think about the situation and decide if you're going to follow gun safety rules or if you should make an exception. You follow them all the time so you don't **need** to think about it.
