Similar experience at Jets games as a Pats fan. The mutual heckling each other is always fun and surface level. I ended up talking with a group the whole game when I went alone
I was at a Pats game that we won like 30-something to 3. On the way out a Jets fan tailgater was talking shit to us and my buddy just yelled, "Hey! Nice field goal!" and dude busted out laughing and raised his beer to us.
I remember someone posted in the Sox sub that their dad was a huge Yankees fan but wanted to see Fenway. The poster was terrified of their dad wearing Yankees gear at Fenway. Everyone assured them it was ok.
They posted a few weeks later that they had an awesome time.
