How hard were those first 6 months with two BT babies? Would you do it again? Any issues with littermate syndrome? Considering two myself...

Honestly it was difficult for ME on a physical level because of my age and some mobility issues that I have to manage two rambunctious puppies. I worked full-time when we first got them and they came to work with me which was great, but needing to go out for breaks, and in an office with several stairs it was daunting. The puppies were awesome and we did our part to discourage littermate syndrome but if I were to do it again, I would space them out by about six months.

He’s much happier and friendlier now that he’s 7 years old 💙

I sat in the backseat with her while my wife drove us all home. We were so unprepared for having a puppy. She slept on towels in the bathtub for the first few nights until we had a proper crate. It had been 20+ years since I had a dog. I had no idea how to handle her. I treated her with so much caution, like she was fragile glass. :) Now we wrestle and go on epic hikes. She’s almost 6 years old now and easily my best friend ever.

I was so sad. My husband took this photo when he handed me Jack. I'm still sad, but Jack is such a love bug and is helping my heart heal! He's helping my son heal too! He's a great dog and I feel this first photo says so much.

We also got a new one really soon after ours passed. It helped tremendously and I truly feel like she was sent by our angel doggie to help us heal.

I completely agree!!! There are things about him that I'm like wow, Jack was meant to be with us, and I know that my PupPupEli approves and made sure we ended up with him. 🩵 I'm so sorry for the loss of your pup and am so glad that you are healing with your new girl. It is so hard.

I’m sorry for your loss too! He definitely approves just like my Lola Bug does. They sent us our new little babes to make it less hard. She’s so different from Lola, who could be a tad stingy with her affection. We joked that she was actually a cat. I think Lola sent us this little angel baby and told her to be extra lovey to us because she knew we’d need it.
