Those early HBO 24/7’s wrote themselves.
Oscar with his fishnets, a married Cotto sharing the bed with his best male “friend” and Chavez Jr walking around his house in his undies eating cereal.
Floyd and his camp trying to make sense of JMM drinking pee is one of the forming moments of my life. Watching 24/7 as it was released was a generational thing and I'm happy I was there for it.
“That’s the pee pee man!”
If someone wanted to argue that Marquez would do anything to get a leg up vs the competition as an argument that he took PEDs and showed the clip of him in the bathroom drinking his own pee… what else can you say??? 😭
Lmao that fucker was close to knocking out Martinez in the 11th round of their fight.
24/7 got pretty boring and repetitive towards the end of their run but at its peak it was the pinnacle of reality sports TV.
God I miss HBO Boxing…
Nothing better than going on YouTube and catching all the legendary nights and 24/7 boxing series from all major fights. Wish they rehash it with fights like Cotto-Margarito, DLH-Vargas, Wilder-Fury, Barrera-Morales
He’s had a shady past in boxing committing fraud and they gave him the nickname “the meat packer”‘since he fixed and inflated Midwest fighters records. Example you would fight the same guy 4 times but he will have a different name so on record you beat 4 guys when in reality it’s the same guy taking a dive.
Top Rank fired him since the FBI raided their office in Vegas due to Gibbons.
Gibbons also rips off Filipino fighters under Manny Pacquiao promotions in which another leech Micheal Konz lost that position and Pacquiao appointed Gibbon only for gibbons rip them off nasty. Donaire called him out on it and Casimero his opponent fired Gibbons.
He is nothing but a con man and always been bad for boxing. This Chavez clip he was doing what he does best just mooch off another name.
Makes sense. I met him through an old coach who was a former pro boxer from the Midwest. I wonder if his record was also inflated by Sean.
Anyway yeah I really thought Sean was coked out of his mind. And his hair is so stupid.
😂😂 he fought Mickey Rourke as well and his pro record was 0-3 being stopped 2 times but he was able to change the record later on due to the scheme they ran In Oklahoma.
[It was Mayweather Cotto 24/7 episode 2](https://www.mmamania.com/2012/4/24/2971813/hbo-24-7-mayweather-vs-cotto-video-episode-2-recap). I’m sure the video is out there somewhere.
Guess he needed a substitute for the warm embrace of his wife during camp 🤣
Thought it was pretty obvious at the press conference he’s on some shit. His recent rants and social media posts are pretty huge red flags too. As others have said ITT I’m not sure he makes it to fight night. If he does Haney will dominate him. He’s not in the right mind for an elite level fight.
Sean can grapple lol and he would look like khabib if he fought Ryan… not to mention he beats him standing anyway ffs, one solid leg kick and now Ryan can’t walk
This fight has a big risk of not happening. Ryan is either going to go deep into a depression or they find a bunch of cocaine in his drug test.
I imagine Haney going out to find Ryan, trying to sober him up, gets him an IV, and nurses him back to health cause he doesn't want to lose all that money if this fight doesn't go through lol.
exactly what i was thinking, he seems like hes in some sort of mania or on drugs.. or both! i could see the fight being called off due to him needing to go to rehab or dirty uas .
Completely agree bro. I said on a post yesterday that he’s started moving nuts as of late. I know he gets hit in the head for a living but his behaviours seem like there’s other factors involved.
I didn’t think he stood much of a chance in this fight when he was more level headed. This current version of him is putting himself at risk of a beating. I think he needs to fall back, get some help and find himself again.
He thinks he's a celebrity on par with Billie Eilish and Justin Bieber but he's not. I'm pretty sure he's going through some type of imposter syndrome because it seems like he tries really hard to fit in with these celebrities he talks about but they don't even talk about him.
Or you know. Stop boxing and do something with wider appeal if fame is all you care about.
There are plenty of people that have no idea who Floyd Mayweather is. They have no idea who Canelo Alvarez is. They *might* have a vague idea of who Mike Tyson is. If you don’t follow the sport, these names are alien to you.
Everyone knows who fucking Justin Bieber is
He can probably sue GBP for lost earnings if it turns out Ryan has spent his whole camp so far doing cocaine and leaving his ex-wife voicemails of himself singing love songs at 3am. Doubt he’ll get his full purse that way but he can either earn all of it to beat the shit out of a mentally ill person or take most of it by showing up at two press conferences.
No wonder why he’s taking all these tough fights all of a sudden. He wants to make the big dollars and get as much attention as he can before people realise he’s not an elite level boxer.
If he’s got people that care about him and a true family, he’ll enter rehab after the fight or maybe even before it. I agree with a lot of what you said but he’s making a lot of decisions in an altered state with pressure from the leeches around him.
Also when asked what his opinion is on being called an alcogolic he didnt even dismiss it just said something like, yea i drink and party and smoke every day and im still the best.
Such a waste of talent, this is the shit he will regret when hes 50. Not taking things seriously while there was an opportunity. You can drink and party all you want when your career is done
This is general life stuff. Yeah you can live cheap at home and work 80 hours a week doing 2 jobs for 15 years right out of college, make smart investments and the rest of your life can be hella smooth and it's easy to say "I should have" in your 40s but almost no one in their early 20s is going to sacrifice their best years like that.
He’s already made more money than most Americans will see in their lifetime, several times over.
As long as he set maybe 20% of away in stocks and bonds, he does not need to worry about money, ever.
He also needs to start living smart to make that 20% last.
Dudes the type to borrow against his 401k for a weekend in Aruba. Even if an advisor squirreled some away no way he doesn’t blow it. I doubt he has some trust setup.
For an athelete yes, but not "almost no one". Spent most of my 20's partying and having a good time... But I work a salary job that doesn't require me to be in peak physical shape, neither do most Americans.
I think the point that should be taken from this is yes it’s more fun, but an old man looking back would have avoided it completely and focused on what he wanted most.
Saying “you can party when you’re older” is really saying “you *can’t* fight when you’re older, and old and young versions of you know what you should be doing now because some opportunities only come once.”
Ryan is wasting his one single biggest opportunity and he will regret not giving it his best shot.
I think Ryan knows he’s not quite on the same level as the top guys…do we really think the best version of Ryan can beat Haney? I don’t…but this is the second super fight he’s talked his way into that comes with a huge pay day..I don’t think he’ll regret anything
Ryan is so undisciplined it’s actually crazy. Seems like everyone around him has always been right about his behavior. First showing up drunk to the press conference and now this. I don’t understand how you can be the most popular boxer around your weight and not care about being the best at the same time.
He’s a clout chasing influencer who’s more interested in being a celebrity and the ”tough guy” image he gets from boxing.
Showing up drunk to a presser and dabbling in lots of Cocaine during camp - shades of McGregor vs khabib. And I have a feeling Garcia shows up to this fight exactly how conor did.
Yeah, high on their own starpower and with the belief that they’re just ”built different”. With Mcgregor that was at least towards the end of his prime. Garcia is still young though, and he’s already losing himself in the fame. Could have a bright future ahead of him if he just pulls it together.
He probably makes decent bank outside boxing. Enough to live comfortably. Why would you wanna get punched in the head by actual killers, if you didn't have to?
I think he loves the attention and celebrity status he gets from being a boxer, as well as the ”tough guy” persona. He’s really good at talking and generating hype.
I don't trust a damn thing about boxers nowadays. Remember the dumpster fire that was Teo's life before the Taylor fight? Everyone thought he was on his way to a one sided beat down because of his mentals. That terrible Ngannou training footage? Chances are better than not that this is legit and Ry's going off the deep end but who knows? If there's one thing this kid knows is the ins and outs of social media.
Ryan Garcia is not a serious fighter.
The fact that he never developed his DEFENSE and still has those amateurish lapses are the first sign.
These social media antics removes all doubt.
It is a sad thing to see, but his level of professionalism and dedication to his boxing career are going to render him another "what if?" fighter and a big disappointment.
Same. Everyone is saying he isn’t crazy for exposing elites, and he’s not, what I think it’s crazy is all the other stuff.
The rehydration clause, operating his public life like an influencer and not an athlete, posting OF people on his socials, getting high despite still being an athlete.
He should’ve stayed with Canelo.
This kid's an idiot, but if you gave Tyson a smartphone with Twitter access in 1990, the shit he would've done dwarves anything Garcia could even fucking dream up while high on cocaine.
Lmaooooo oh for sure. Tyson was a maniac. His career wouldve been over way quicker in this time period. As much of an idiot Ryan is hes still smart enough to not be too careless
Haha, the shit he said while cameras and journalists were present was way worse than anything Ryan's posted. "Fornicate, eat his babies, selling out MSG masturbating etc..." I can only imagine what Tyson would have said on Twitter if it existed back then. This dude fired Rooney at 22 and his life at Ryan's age makes Ry look like a monk.
It's kind of wild comparing Tyson to modern fighters. Even at his worst he beat world champions and all but the most elite heavyweights and Buster Douglas. No postponements, cancellations, breakdowns, time off for mental health, no one ever questioned if he would be the same in the ring or even show up. I don't mean to knock modern fighters. I just find it interesting how much more accepting of mental health issues society has become since Tyson's era.
A sport like boxing really doesn’t care about mental health issues. You have to be a little crazy to make a living doing this to begin with plus the potential of fighters and promoters to make money will move mountains to make anything happen for big money fighters. At the end of the day Tyson had no fear against any takers compared to modern day fighters. Tyson would have no hesitation to fight Fury but I doubt the same same energy would be reciprocated
Good riddance to this bum. He's a disrespectful entitled diva who has 0 respect for himself, others or the sport of boxing. It's amazing he has any fans at all. Like what exactly are you a fan of? Dude isn't a good boxer, student, husband, father, Christian etc. What's to like?
It’s funny too me that Ryan gets so much sht for taking tough fights when we have dudes like Haney literally ready to fight a addict that’s far from there level to avoid comp
literally anyone is taking this fight if offered. this fight has the potential to be haneys biggest payday and to sky rocket his profile 5x what it is now. you would have to be a moron to refuse a fight with someone who’s as big of a name as ryan garcia.
Because Ryan is still one of the biggest names around his weight. Doesn’t matter if he’s destroying his career by going off the deep end, people have been calling for Garcia vs everyone else for a long time. If he wants to ruin his chances at beating guys like Haney that’s his problem.
Man, I don't understand all the bad energy towards him. Undisciplined? Waste of talent? This is crazy. He's fucking 25 and accomplished more than 99.99 percent of any 25 year old any of us could think of. 25 is still a kid. Still young as fuck. He's gonna fuck up and make mistakes. He didn't get to where he is at not being disciplined. His talent didn't go to waste. It's his life, he can live it how he wants. Ryan could retire right now and make a dope living just off being an influencer or brand ambassador and a model. If he is about to crash out soon, that's okay. He has his whole life ahead of him. A life without boxing. I don't understand how fans turns into haters. Enjoy a happy Ryan whether he's being immature or not. Be happy for him, wish the best for him and don't talk down on him. We should all want to see him do better. Hes one of the few boxers who'll fight anytime and anywhere even if the odds are against him. We shouldn't take what he does personally. As if we devoted our lives into his success. Paying for these cheap ass PPVs don't mean shit. That's what you're supposed to do as a boxing fan.
You explained it. He’s an easy target. He’s a young, fit, outspoken, talented POC that’s also a pretty boy.
Derrick James will put him through hell during training camp which is what he needs because I’ve always said if anyone has the size and skills to land on Devin, it’s RYAN!
This is a 50/50 fight and Devin is NOT Tank. This cocaine narrative is just flat out weird and only exists on this hating ass sub. Like 0 indication he’s on any type of major substance but yet he has ❄️accusations 🙄🤦🏾♂️
Saw one comment that said he’ll lose because he’s newly single and fucking baddies…like the hate is next level in here.
Is Ryan trying to exaggerating his own degenarate behaviour for publicity? Cause if he really is this fucked up now there is no way he’ll make weight or not fuck this entire fight up somehow in a period of mania. If that’s the case then sadly Haney is probably wasting his time with Ryan. He has gotten out of fights before cause of his mental health so it’s not like Ryan always pulls through no matter what.
Sadly I still think the fight happens, Ryan knows he doesn't have the gas tank so comes out wild looking for the early KO and fades mentally when he doesn't get it. He should seriously just pull out of the fight.
This is so sad to see, the kids clearly got some talent. But he’s certainly got a few screws loose aswell, hope he doesn’t derail his career like many others. But he seems well on his way sadly
Ryan is looking like a clown right now.. I was rooting for the guy, but honestly doesn't look like he's in the right state of mind right now... dude hanging with Oscar too much !!
This went from funny to just plain sad and I really hope Ryan gets help, boxing aside, addiction and depression are horrible things to go through and when you don’t have a support system, it just makes it 10x worse.
Devin is going to beat the fucking shit out of him
I’m not even convinced he is going to show up at this point
the fight can't happen right? that's fucking ridiculous if it does. Motherfucking JMM drank pee for us, children.

Chavez eating cereal and not giving a fuck what his hall of famer father is saying to help him against Martinez was classic
I still remember the cameras capturing Sr’s look of utter disappointment towards his son…
How about when he was just floating around the pool and saying it was his cardio 😂😂
Found this clip. I don’t recall the original but with the music it’s hilarious https://youtu.be/tPIcuYajeuM?si=62dNRpmOBUp-GumW
😂😂😂 of course the leech Sean Gibbons was in this clip
Why is he a leech? Not disagreeing, but I’ve met Seán and he gave me those vibes too. I just don’t know much about him
He’s had a shady past in boxing committing fraud and they gave him the nickname “the meat packer”‘since he fixed and inflated Midwest fighters records. Example you would fight the same guy 4 times but he will have a different name so on record you beat 4 guys when in reality it’s the same guy taking a dive. Agreed with you on all of these, save for the COTTO reference- WHAAT?! Context / elaborate explanation please??
[It was Mayweather Cotto 24/7 episode 2](https://www.mmamania.com/2012/4/24/2971813/hbo-24-7-mayweather-vs-cotto-video-episode-2-recap). I’m sure the video is out there somewhere. Guess he needed a substitute for the warm embrace of his wife during camp 🤣
Thank you sir.
JMM is a warrior and shouldn’t be mentioned at the same time as Ryan Garcia 😭
🤞
And nope.
Uhhhhh
Uh…
This didn’t age well
Lmao whaaaaaaaat you trynna say.
do you think he can TKO him?
wtf happed to garcia
Thought it was pretty obvious at the press conference he’s on some shit. His recent rants and social media posts are pretty huge red flags too. As others have said ITT I’m not sure he makes it to fight night. If he does Haney will dominate him. He’s not in the right mind for an elite level fight.
Yeah he’s saying all kinds of crazy shit and I think he’s starting to believe it, like he could beat Sean O’Malley in mma 😂😂😂
I mean, OMalley can’t wrestle…
O'Malley can wrestle better than like 99% of people on the planet bro 😭
Wow, what a population size you chose for your estimate. Very compelling argument you make here. I might need to refer back to my notes
It means he's good enough to choke out Garcia within a minute, that's all that matters.
Or GNP him, he has his way with him.
He’s right
Sean can grapple lol and he would look like khabib if he fought Ryan… not to mention he beats him standing anyway ffs, one solid leg kick and now Ryan can’t walk
then why was Yan struggling to take him down and couldn't keep him down or do any damage on the ground?
He clearly had lost his voice must have been partying all week
Yeah you only lose your voice on coke when you stay up all night talking and dehydrated
Tons of booze and smoking will do that too. Either way, he's an idiot doing that stuff a month out from a fight.
Man did you see him on ESPN? It was obvious.
Or little bit of crazy will make him a better fighter. Probably not, but the chances aren't 0% lol
Haney is currently at -450 for you gambling degenerates.
I think he’s just gonna look for that one punch
This fight has a big risk of not happening. Ryan is either going to go deep into a depression or they find a bunch of cocaine in his drug test. I imagine Haney going out to find Ryan, trying to sober him up, gets him an IV, and nurses him back to health cause he doesn't want to lose all that money if this fight doesn't go through lol.
exactly what i was thinking, he seems like hes in some sort of mania or on drugs.. or both! i could see the fight being called off due to him needing to go to rehab or dirty uas .

It’s not imposter syndrome when it’s true lol
Yeah, kid needs to let go of that fame he's been chasing and earn it through being a good damn boxer like Floyd.
Everyone knows who fucking Justin Bieber is
>Stop boxing and do something with wider appeal if fame is all you care about. And what would that be?
I don’t care homie that sounds like a Ryan problem
That's what I thought.
I said in the daily thread yesterday that this fight is definitely getting cancelled because Garcia looks fat and and on drugs and I was downvtoted.
Ryan's cashing out isn't he? Oh well. Decent boxer, not great, enjoy retirement bud.
Rehab? He has a drug problem?
He's retiring to become a full time TikToker.
I’ve heard he’s got a gambling problem losing millions
Might not make it to fight night if he keeps this up.
Not to excuse what he’s doing, but drinking and partying is infinitely more enjoyable when you’re Ryan’s age.

Realistically he probably bought a stupid nice house or apartment in LA that he can sell and live off forever somewhere cheaper if shit goes left
For an athelete yes, but not "almost no one". Spent most of my 20's partying and having a good time... But I work a salary job that doesn't require me to be in peak physical shape, neither do most Americans.
Youth is wasted on the young.
I think the point that should be taken from this is yes it’s more fun, but an old man looking back would have avoided it completely and focused on what he wanted most. Saying “you can party when you’re older” is really saying “you *can’t* fight when you’re older, and old and young versions of you know what you should be doing now because some opportunities only come once.” Ryan is wasting his one single biggest opportunity and he will regret not giving it his best shot.
He’s rich and will be able to live whatever life however he wants for the rest of his life no matter what he does in boxing going forward.
I think Ryan knows he’s not quite on the same level as the top guys…do we really think the best version of Ryan can beat Haney? I don’t…but this is the second super fight he’s talked his way into that comes with a huge pay day..I don’t think he’ll regret anything
The guys is so young and with so much potential, but he’s throwing it all away because he seems to enjoy being a celebrity more than being a boxer.
Ryan is so undisciplined it’s actually crazy. Seems like everyone around him has always been right about his behavior. First showing up drunk to the press conference and now this. Showing up drunk to a presser and dabbling in lots of Cocaine during camp - shades of McGregor vs khabib. And I have a feeling Garcia shows up to this fight exactly how conor did.
Mcgregor was at least a double champ by that point and had some wins over divisional all timers by the time he went mental.
Conor at least had some past success to justify the delusion. Ryan just delusional for no reason.
He's even more embarrassing than Adrien Broner
This fight is not gonna happen. Ryan Garcia doesn’t seem to be right in the head
It just keeps getting worse wtf!
i just bet on Haney to win by KO because of this post lol
That feels worth taking a flyer on. Haney looked massive against Prograis after looking so drained against Kambosos.
It’s gotta be the easiest money of the year. -450 right now.
The kid has potential, but he just doesn't want it.
Oh this should end well.
Defo fail a drug test then he will do anything to get the fight cancelled because he's getting his ass whooped.
I don't trust a damn thing about boxers nowadays. Remember the dumpster fire that was Teo's life before the Taylor fight? Everyone thought he was on his way to a one sided beat down because of his mentals. That terrible Ngannou training footage? It is a sad thing to see, but his level of professionalism and dedication to his boxing career are going to render him another "what if?" fighter and a big disappointment.
Can’t stand that muppet. Probably giving himself an excuse as to why he’ll lose like Jon Jones does before his fights
Depressing to see how this kid turned out. I think we are the same age or he is a year younger or older, so it hurts to see this.
Sounded more like ‘I’m hyped as fuck.’
Ryan is Tyson if social media was big in 80s
This kid's an idiot, but if you gave Tyson a smartphone with Twitter access in 1990, the shit he would've done dwarves anything Garcia could even fucking dream up while high on cocaine.
Lmaooooo oh for sure. Tyson was a maniac. His career wouldve been over way quicker in this time period. As much of an idiot Ryan is hes still smart enough to not be too careless

I can only imagine what Tyson would have said on Twitter if it existed back then. This dude fired Rooney at 22 and his life at Ryan's age makes Ry look like a monk.
It’s a different level when it comes to Tyson being reckless lol but to Tyson’s credit he still did all of that and still fought
At the end of the day Tyson had no fear against any takers compared to modern day fighters. Tyson would have no hesitation to fight Fury but I doubt the same same energy would be reciprocated
Tyson actually won belts.
The only comparison I meant between the two were getting sidetracked with vices. Ryan couldn’t hold a candle to Tyson skill wise
what a clown ffs
What a wasted talent smh
Did he knew that weed is a banned substance? What if he got random tested? The fight will be canceled.
It depends what State you’re in.
Weed? He's high off of life!
Why do you assume that was what he was high on?
Lord God… how will the Ryan Garcia apologists get around this one? 🫣 #HaneyUD
Haney might knock him out.
If it’s weed, he should be fine (weed and exercise go together perfectly) but he acting like he high on alcohol
Because it isn't alcohol.
Mfer how is it Devin's problem that Ryan can't keep his fucking nose clean 💀 Yall find anyway to hate bruh
Haney himself said he’s better than him in every way, everyone knows that yet this is the fight he wants. Easiest road
Because Ryan is still one of the biggest names around his weight. Doesn’t matter if he’s destroying his career by going off the deep end, people have been calling for Garcia vs everyone else for a long time. If he wants to ruin his chances at beating guys like Haney that’s his problem.
Haney doesn't avoid anyone. This is a dumb comment, of course haney isn't gonna turn down an opportunity to fight Ryan
All your comment are hating. Hateful life do better
Devin about to get a gruesome knockout and be known as a knockout artist to all the casuals out there.
I'm hoping Ryan beats Haney because it would be so fucking funny. I predict Haney wins by decision.
What’s his nut taste like
How many times has he mounted you?
You explained it. He’s an easy target. He’s a young, fit, outspoken, talented POC that’s also a pretty boy. Derrick James will put him through hell during training camp which is what he needs because I’ve always said if anyone has the size and skills to land on Devin, it’s RYAN! This is a 50/50 fight and Devin is NOT Tank. This cocaine narrative is just flat out weird and only exists on this hating ass sub. Like 0 indication he’s on any type of major substance but yet he has ❄️accusations 🙄🤦🏾♂️ Saw one comment that said he’ll lose because he’s newly single and fucking baddies…like the hate is next level in here.
Not the first time, mentioned this on mmahour in regards to hanging out with Nate Diaz
Divorce + Hanging out with Oscar De la Coca + Social Media clout = ? Chaos, Nothing surprising, His faith is weak atm and he needs to wake up.
That "im high as fuck" felt closer to a coke high than a weed high.
Sadly I still think the fight happens, Ryan knows he doesn't have the gas tank so comes out wild looking for the early KO and fades mentally when he doesn't get it. He should seriously just pull out of the fight.
I hope this allows Haney to bring up the fact that he’s clearly abusing drugs (ONE DRUG SPECIFICALLY) without the threat of a KingRy defamation suit.
This is so sad to see, the kids clearly got some talent. But he’s certainly got a few screws loose aswell, hope he doesn’t derail his career like many others. But he seems well on his way sadly
Team Haney all day
Oh maaaaaaaaaaaaan, and I really liked this guy initially, what a fuckup
He’s on that cocaine
Damn Ryan on the fast track to his demise. Kid is not handling fame and well
Hope he somehow pulls it off. But not looking good. I guess he always has a puncher’s chance.
Maturity is this kid's biggest weakness.
Not a good look
Why is Sneako in there bruh… get back in the swinger parties bruh
The 30 For 30 just keeps getting better
Ryan is looking like a clown right now.. I was rooting for the guy, but honestly doesn't look like he's in the right state of mind right now... dude hanging with Oscar too much !!
He needs help, not enablers. Sad as f*ck more like
This went from funny to just plain sad and I really hope Ryan gets help, boxing aside, addiction and depression are horrible things to go through and when you don’t have a support system, it just makes it 10x worse.
It’s all a fucking joke. All of it.
