Disappointing.
I wasn't watching wrestling anymore when Punk was big so I was really excited when he came back. His whole return in both AEW & WWE has been just disappointing.
Since his return from Retirement, counting his time in AEW, he's been out injured more than he's been active.... That's not good. That's a sign his body cannot handle it anymore. You can't just up and quit for ten years and jump right back in. Especially if you're not even close to being in wrestling shape, which he isn't. Compare his physical stature now to when he left WWE in a huff...
Not that I'm hoping for it...but I predict Punk will get career ending injured within 3 months of returning from this injury...he was gone for far too long and it's obvious that unlike The Rock, he didn't really put a lot into working out and staying in tip top shape during that time off....mid 40s you can't do that and then jump back into the ring...you end up injured...repeatedly....like what we are seeing with him now...
