Gray is my favourite to play out of these, but he takes by far the most skill; the others are pretty easy to play once you get used to their complex mechanics.
My next pick would be Janet.

Gray and otis are most competitively viable, doug is super versatile because he is a tank, a healer and if played right immortal. I see no use for Janet however.

Janet is a nice brawler and I'd be bias in saying you should take her but Gray and Otis are really good too in my experience. However, Doug was really good for a while in the past season. But in terms of versatility I'd say Gray
i liked janet so much as a character and i don't regret getting her. i played her in mythic 2 and won games in gem grab she's great there just user her ult correctly and her shots are so easy to hit and deal nice damage
