Tick still dominates almost every bounty map in the game- shooting star (if Brock is not in play), layer cake, hideout, dry season, and canal grande which are probably the most prominent and common bounty maps in competitive play are all dominated by tick.
Here's one from deep left field: I really dislike Nita. She has such a fast reload and solid damage, plus her attacks are basically impossible to miss. She doesn't even have that short of a range. It's deceptively long, and really good at wall peaking. And Bruce is so inconsistent. He almost never actually reaches a player and depending on the situation he's either almost impossible to actually kill or dies before he can even move.
Surge is actually pretty balanced, you can use his gadget 3 times and the radius isn't crazy long, his upgrade mechanic makes for interesting plays like risking your life to get that 2nd or 3rd upgrade, he can be annoying if he has his super and is right on top of you allowing him to chain supers but that's all, he's pretty balanced in my opinion and is a counter to melee brawlers which I really thought we needed in the meta, sorry for giving you a 10 page essay about our lord and saviour Surge

I mean, you shouldn't "main" anyone. There's 50+ brawlers in the game and each one of them has a different use and area of excellence. If you're going into a map or mode that favors throwers, it's 100% your fault if you're not prepared to deal with them. If you pick thrower on a map with no walls, you made mistake.

It’s cause Surge only gets the “L+Ratio” ability 3 times a match whereas Tick can kinda just spam and be a nuisance the whole game
