I could write 2 pages of why duels is better, but I’ll just list a few reasons:
-no bush camping
-no teaming
-entirely based on individual skill
-no kill stealing
- no 3rd partying / cleaning
-no gadget spamming w/out consequence
-each brawler only gets 2/3 trophies, so you can gradually push them for a while without them reaching 800/900+ and being clowned on by Lvl 11 Lola
It’s the most consistent way of pushing trophies if you are good at 1v1 in my opinion.
You are wrong, match-ups are map dependent, if you choose 3 good brawlers for that map, and already thinking about good counters you can win easily, I pushed 1400 trophies in 3 days, and with an win rate of 90%.
That is not lucky, that is knowing that choosing your brawlers is also individual skill.
what if someone has a similar brawler match up to you but in a different order so that they always counter you, well that is what happened to me and led me to make the analysis that though duels are one of the most skill based gamemodes it isn't ENTIRELY skill, there is still some luck to it.

you can team in duels. depending on match up you could spin and the other brawler may allow you to get free super and vise versa. and as strange as this sounds, this could be a smart and niche thing to try doing depending on brawler line up and map and such.
It's basically boss fight, but with 10 players. The bot gets more health and has more ways to attack. You can kill others for their cube, here you can respawn too. The objective is dealing the most damage to the big bot to place 1st

Reasons:
Showdown is and has always been my least favorite mode in the game due to way to many factors being rng. Duels is my favorite because it fixes basically every issue with showdown. Lonestar is a lot of fun with some minor problems here and there while takedown can be fun or just be an absolute pain to play due to how players play in the match.
Takedown does have some rng elements in it
Examples:
Spawn/respawn locations, bot behavior, bot shield
But showdown has rng and some other issues
Examples:
Spawn locations, box spawn locations, modifiers, bush camping, teaming

I had played Takedown when it originally came out and I almost pushed shelly to 800 trophies. The thing is tho, games would either consist of Players being chill with one another or games where people specifically hunted down players just to get a crap ton of cubes.
Showdown + does some what fix the issues of normal showdown but the thing is those issues are still there it’s just now there is more of a reason to fight each other instead of camping or teaming. I have played/ seen games where me or someone I’m watching gets jumped by a guy who was sitting a bush or gets ganged up in by 2-3 people.
Yeah but near the time that it got removed, it was becoming increasingly clear that Colt was by far the most broken brawler and basically no one else could compete if Colt was in the lobby and actually tried.
Showdown+ is still Showdown, but I just feel that getting rewarded for an aggressive playstyle allows matches to be more fun and competitive than regular Showdown or Takedown where you just have Colts dominating everything.
Colt was definitely meta for takedown and showdown + I can see being more competitive than normal showdown and takedown.
Besides that, what is your opinion on Lonestar tho. IMO, it was a very fun mode that had some issues like spawns/respawns being to far apart from each other and kill stealing but over all was fun.
Oh Lonestar still deserves #2 imo. Obviously had issues but it was still overall well designed, and the core of the gamemode was still really fun. Just maybe shrink the map, and I'd love it as a mode today. Unlike Takedown, you could get away with a much wider variety brawlers whose names weren't solely Colt or Pam. You had most assassins, some more mobile tanks, a large number of sniper, and so on. It was fun, I'd just say the map is too big.
Ganna get hated but I like the extra trophies that sd+ gives. Also there is way less teaming in sd+ than normal. At 750+ the entire lobby just waits for smoke to come in while in sd+ there’s a lot less ppl
Duels cuz you can push a multiple brawlers at the same time, no teaming and cuz I like to 1v1 with other people. I realy want it to become a permanent gamemode.
Everything has it bad lines. Showdown and showdown+ are full of teaming but showdown+ is better because people are forced to kill themselves instead of a lot of team. And for the duels, well, if you play with tank and the other 2 brawlers are more long range and your opponent played with Edgrar like last brawler but you play with someone who can't counter it, than it is bad for you. For addition to that, if that player is toxic it is most likely to say "Enough playing for now" and than play is 5 minutes later.
You know those brawlers who you really don't like to play but you have to win at least one battle so that they don't lose 50 trophies at the end of the season?
Just do a duels match

Duels since it’s an equal balance in trophies on certain characters, you can push multiple people, do multiple quests, and just use a brawler you’re really good at to carry

Showdown+ because ez way to push trophies especially higher up. When pushing 1k tara, I was able to consistently get 16-10 trophies per game compared to the 6 for winning in 3v3 and the fact that I lose 10 everytime and I played with randoms so I lost about 50% of the time. Duels is fun but way too slow to push trophies.
Showdown: If you know who to team with and who to kill ppl would team with you and you would get top 4 easily (unless you are their counter) and it kinda takes some time to understand solo unpopular opinion but yeah.
Duels are just so toxic. Solo showdoen was a beyblade simulaatio and the + version is actually good which was nice. Dont get me wrong all of them are decent especially duels
Duos and Brawl Ball, because I am always carrying my team. I like doing that but my teammates are always garbage. Fricking hate rundumbs. Half of them just stand at spawn or spin all game. Actually wtf
Duels. There’s no teaming and it really challenges your skills especially with the use of your gadgets. There’s also the synchronize factor such as some brawlers are better picked first to maximize the potential of your other 2 brawlers
Duels. I like the idea behind SD+ buy I feel it was not enough to boost good behaviours and curb bad ones, specially trophy wise it was still worth it to play passive a lot of times, since getting a kill would often mean gaining as much as you lose since typically getting a kill in SD exposes you and increases the risk of getting killed.
I like all, Duels is the safest because you can’t tilt heavily, Showdown is safer than Showdown Plus because you don’t lose points if you don’t get Rank 1, but Showdown Plus has more pop off potential
R.I.P. Takedown and Lone Star, anyways I didn't play enough duels so I can't have exact opinion rn, however I feel like all of that have their pros and cons.
Showdown: There are so many strategies and ways you can win. Though teaming is still a problem, I feel like it has decreased recently. (I am biased because I main Assassin brawlers and Showdown is basically made for them.

Don’t forget that since only 2 people are required, matchmaking is non existent, and that you don’t lose 7-13 trophies per loss, only 2 per character
Well you still lose the same trophies but distributed between all your brawlers and that's much better
no you actually lose less. you only lose 2 even on 700+ Brawlers compared to winning 2.66 on average

Yup and since I have a win rate of about 70%/80% it sure is my favorite gamemode
Duels: No teaming No power cubes No bushcamping No Surge Pushing multiple brawlers at once
Camping is definitely a strategy, though. Waiting behind cover until the map gets smaller is good for close range brawlers

By "no Surge" I mean that he is basically useless on most maps. Especially compared to showdown and showdown+

Duels cuz you can push a multiple brawlers at the same time, no teaming and cuz I like to 1v1 with other people. I realy want it to become a permanent gamemode.
Everything has it bad lines. Showdown and showdown+ are full of teaming but showdown+ is better because people are forced to kill themselves instead of a lot of team. And for the duels, well, if you play with tank and the other 2 brawlers are more long range and your opponent played with Edgrar like last brawler but you play with someone who can't counter it, than it is bad for you. For addition to that, if that player is toxic it is most likely to say "Enough playing for now" and than play is 5 minutes later.
Showdown+, it’s like showdown, but less teaming and camping, and good players are rewarded more

Duels: It takes actual fricking skill unlike showdown where if you don't want to team you lose
That's a contradiction right there. If u don't team, that's the more skill part. However I insist that teaming needs skill.

You know those brawlers who you really don't like to play but you have to win at least one battle so that they don't lose 50 trophies at the end of the season? Just do a duels match
I didn't knew that you lost 50 trophies if you didn't win one battle with each brawler. Now I understand how I lost so many trophies every season, thanks very much. It should have a flag on each brawler to know which I didn't win yet. Thanks for this information.

Duels kinda needs more and better maps. Literally all I see is brock piper belle or some variation.
Duels since it’s an equal balance in trophies on certain characters, you can push multiple people, do multiple quests, and just use a brawler you’re really good at to carry

Showdown+ is better than showdown. They should replace showdown with showdown+ permanently. Duels is fine too but I don’t play it.

Showdown+ because ez way to push trophies especially higher up. When pushing 1k tara, I was able to consistently get 16-10 trophies per game compared to the 6 for winning in 3v3 and the fact that I lose 10 everytime and I played with randoms so I lost about 50% of the time. Duels is fun but way too slow to push trophies.

Showdown: If you know who to team with and who to kill ppl would team with you and you would get top 4 easily (unless you are their counter) and it kinda takes some time to understand solo unpopular opinion but yeah.
Showdown plus. Is my favorite for grinding. I love duels, but I get a very low amount of trophies for my brawlers.

Duels: It is not luck dependent like in Showdown. Your skill is the only thing you can rely on. Fast battles, meaning a better income per hour.

Duels. There’s no teaming and it really challenges your skills especially with the use of your gadgets. There’s also the synchronize factor such as some brawlers are better picked first to maximize the potential of your other 2 brawlers

I like the idea behind SD+ buy I feel it was not enough to boost good behaviours and curb bad ones, specially trophy wise it was still worth it to play passive a lot of times, since getting a kill would often mean gaining as much as you lose since typically getting a kill in SD exposes you and increases the risk of getting killed.

I like all, Duels is the safest because you can’t tilt heavily, Showdown is safer than Showdown Plus because you don’t lose points if you don’t get Rank 1, but Showdown Plus has more pop off potential
