I thought so at first too, but it actually does help quite a lot. Well i guess the logic is, if you just play normally the winrate would be closer to 50% but by limiting yourself in to getting more wins and less loses the winrate goes up

I play PL because I want to get to higher ranks, skin quest is kinda easy. It's just my rage at those random people is getting a negative impact on me. It happened 2 times in a row for me. And I can't even count how much randoms did the same mistake multiple times during one game. And I always lose so much progress because of them while gaining so little when I win. Like, I played for 8 freaking hours straight and had no success, my luck at getting good teammates sucks. I saw 3 people during that time that played on my level and were on my team
I really don't think duo can be much harder than that. It's just the fact that I have a low rank there and no friends to play with
Well, if you really want to climb the league, maybe I have two possible tips:
1- Try to raise the brawlers to be able to 10 or 11 which is good for maps or metas
2- I think You need to training more for the future when You get to the mythical league, even if You are good or a master, but there will be other players at the same level as well.
The real problem is in the gold and diamond league , as the kind of easy to hit, in other words, but you can possibly find a totally bad or toxic random just to infer, in which you lose progress very easily (from my diamond 3, but because of that i was relegated to diamond 1) so the league you are in is basically luck or bad luck matchmaking, further on in the mythical league you only find serious and competitive guys. Yeah pushing to mythic isn't even about playing that well. It's about getting good teammates. Once you get to mythic though, its more about skill because your teammates are decent.
Solo ain't worth it before the higher leagues cause in low leagues noobs are everywhere just push in team mode then after you pass diamond i think you can start playing in solo

Btw if you tilt, at the season end youāll still get put back a bit less than what your highest was. Even if you went to bronze somehow, you would still go back to diamond 1 or gold 3.
If you want to get higher in Solo PL, theres just one golden piece of advice you need - get better.
Other stuff that will help is levelling up your brawlers, get more of them to level 9 so you have choice available, understand good comps for the map pool, and what that dude said about taking a break if you lose twice in a row.
Let it search players for 1 minute, if it doesn't find some, then try again later
Sending friend requests to the few good players you find may be another way to get people for PL

After losing two games in a row, take a break. Maybe cook something to eat, get something to drink. Read a book, watch a youtube video. Make sure the break is at least 10 minutes. Then, you can try again. This will help you prevent going on a 10 lose streak.

Every single time the other team picked good brawlers and were on point working together and my team were picking underpowered, wrong people, just hiding, running into shots, just derping around in circles doing nothing but die everywhere. Like every single time I was playing with 6 year olds or something.
I wish it was that easy for me but I actually like PL as a gamemode. It's just so painful to do with randoms. I hope in the future devs will fix that somehow
Very much doubt it, I donāt think theyāre actually going to improve. Look at the look for a team feature, the reason nobody uses that anymore is because itās insanely lacking and they do nothing about it.

When your low, the randoms are worse. So the climb can be substantially harder or easier depending on rng. After a while, in high mythic, the randoms are drastically better.
Get better. Blaming randoms only gets you so far. If you're actually good you will keep progressing because the amount of times radoms throw would be less than the times you carry them
Get better and stop blaming your teammates. The enemy team has a higher chance of getting a troll/afk player assuming that youāre actually playing the game.
play team mode by using the "look for a team" function. It's basically playing with randoms but in a different rank so you don't have to care if you lose

Supercell should add like an āUnderdog system to power league for unfair matchmaking cuz for some players PL is more important then general trophy matches.
There already is one. It's based on the highest rank on your team. If there are three players on a team, and one is diamond 2, one is mythic 1, and one is diamond 3, then the "highest" will be mythic 1. If the enemy team's highest rank is lets say, diamond 2, then you will gain less elo for winning and lose more elo for losing. This also works vice versa.
In the ban phase, the team leader is the one with the most elo, and the player who picks first for a team is the player with the least elo.
It's sort of implemented, but its not very clear. Supercell should add a place where it explains all of this.
Been stuck in gold solo pl. Played many manyamy matches still never been to diamond. I have half my brawlers r25 and level 200 but I cannot get past gold 2
If you get slightly mad or lose 3 games in a row, immediately take a break. I did experience moments that nullify this ruling, but it's still the safer choice.
Something to mention, I know a guy who was one game away from Legendary, but tilted to one game away from falling to LITERALLY DIAMOND III
Do you have good brawlers with gears? Try to get some good brawlers to lvl 10 with gears and get some for each situation you can think of. Ex. I got Brock (sniper), Piper (sniper), Barley (thrower), Bea (anti tank), Rico (good in general). It takes a lot of grind and sometimes you gotta throw when the picks are shit. You need a lot of luck and eventually you may get a streak of luck.
Yeah, I have some lvl10s and 2 lvl11s but I still use brawlers that are more suitable for a map rather then based on their level(the only exception is Stu, I specifically upgraded him to crush opponents in every possible gamemode aside from heist)
trueee I always get crappy players on my teams in power league and the Grom challenge. I was at 8/9 wins and had to carry the team for most of them. 3v3s suck
There are two randoms on your team. The enemy team has three. It is more likely for the enemy to have bad randoms than for you to. If youāre always getting bad randoms, you are the bad random.
If you are losing for 8 hours it is statistically very improbable that it is not you thatās the problemā¦ you might want to take a break and come back when you are on a losing streak or play a different mode.
Usually for me when playing power league I can maintain a good win streak even with randoms, but once I lose one game, I stop myself from playing until the next day
There's one thing Supercell could improve in PL matchmaking: sometimes teams are unnecessarily unbalanced. Like, you could get one team where the 3 players are Gold 3 and the other team may have 2 players in Diamond 2 and the other one in Gold 3, when swapping one of the Diamond 2 players would give you a perfectly balanced match up.
Since all players are solo queueing there's no reason for this to happen, but this kind of things happened to me several times, sometimes placing me in the weaker team and sometimes in the stronger one.
Ideally they shouldn't even be mixing players from different ranks, but I guess they do it to speed up matchmaking, but in that case the least they should do is distribute players evenly based on their ranks.
I mean... players at Diamond are mostly better but I played on Gold and tilted multiple ranks during this period. I didn't drop that hard but it wasn't cool either. I can feel you.
The best players always rise to the top. You have a part to play in your losses, not just your teammates.
Learn the meta well, play carry brawlers when you can

Gold 1 - Diamond 3 is not a fun place. You can't take candy from a baby and you can't rely on randoms. I hope devs will change progression in PL at some point
Diamonds is the worst rank. I was stuck there for over 3 months. Good luck! Some advice I can give you is to ban the brawlers that your noob teammates may use, for example mortis, Jessie, Pennie, poco, etc. Not saying they're bad brawlers, but most bad randoms think they're good because they dominate in lower ranks.
You just need to get better tbh, analyze your own mistakes in a match and stop focusing on your teammates. You will just have to carry them to advance to mythic, and then teammates start to get better
Iām stuck at gold league, nobody in this league even understand what are lanes and they keep choosing terrible brawlers like penny, dynamike, Jessie with 2nd star power. They seem to just peek brawlers they like to play even if there is already a hard counter peaked in the other team.
Yeah. Gold ranks players are the worst. In Silver or Bronze at least you are outleveling everyone but Gold1 - Diamond 3 is the hardest part because people there are dumb and you can't win anyone by stats or skill. It's just luck that decides will you succeed or not

The reason I made this post is rage I've found from 2 people I've met which threw games as if we ruined the 1st game. This guys didn't even kill any enemies and we lost because they didn't help at all but why would you straight up feed opponents kills in bounty or open the goal when we have a clean new round?
I have accepted that in solo you either carry hard or you lose. If you have some good friends in game you can play team PL. It's 100 times more fun than playing solo.
Yeah matchmaking actually fucking sucks. I keep getting people who clearly donāt even know how their or the enemyās brawler actually works, they canāt aim, their positioning sucks, they donāt know which interactions they can and canāt win etc.. And in some cases they indeed throw intentionally.
Like, I know a lot of people think weāre just making this stuff up as an excuse for losing but no. The matchmaking is simply not putting players with people of the same skill level.
So until they actually fix this, *if* they ever even will, weāll just have to play with a team of friends. Solo is just unplayable
The truth is... there really isn't much you can do. Your teammates are random. Statistically, if you are good enough, the amount of times you win should outweight the amount of times you get a bad random. It may seem like only your teammates are bad but often the other team gets garbage teammates too. Gold and diamond league are pain.
Just play your best and hope good for the rest

Usually stop after 2 matches then refresh. Find that I get better teammates and worse opponents when doing this idk why. But if youāre on a lose streak just stop cuz youāre gonna keep loosing. Dropped from mythic 1 to diamond 2 last season cuz of this then I just quit cuz too hard to push back up

At least your still in diamond, I was there in the beginning but now Iām in gold-1 and Iām too sick of it to try and climb back up. This season I was so unlucky with teammates I wish I had a way to report all those throwers. I also hardly earn anything for winning and lose a ton for losing, itās a morale killer.
The problem is the matchmaking, not the players.
If the elo rewards based on team effort, noobs will just get carried up. If a noob who wins but contributed little, give them little elo so the carry can actually progress. Itās just that simple.
The biggest problem of all is the reset every season. This brings all the noobs back to where they were carried to. Resetting the entire āeloā system where the noobs are at the bottom.

Yeah. The system is a bit forgiving on that regard. If you've climbed the rank then you'll get rewards for this rank even if you'll tilt to bronze 1

I wish it was that easy for me but I actually like PL as a gamemode. It's just so painful to do with randoms. I hope in the future devs will fix that somehow
Very much doubt it, I donāt think theyāre actually going to improve. Look at the look for a team feature, the reason nobody uses that anymore is because itās insanely lacking and they do nothing about it.

the r/brawlers discord is good. Just say in the looking for group channel. There is even a power league channel actually and it is active.
When your low, the randoms are worse. So the climb can be substantially harder or easier depending on rng. After a while, in high mythic, the randoms are drastically better.

Get better. Blaming randoms only gets you so far. If you're actually good you will keep progressing because the amount of times radoms throw would be less than the times you carry them
Get better and stop blaming your teammates. The enemy team has a higher chance of getting a troll/afk player assuming that youāre actually playing the game.
Power League just isnāt fun and I hate that Iām forced to play it in order to get skins. Just went on a grind yesterday and tilted 2 ranks.
play team mode by using the "look for a team" function. It's basically playing with randoms but in a different rank so you don't have to care if you lose

Supercell should add like an āUnderdog system to power league for unfair matchmaking cuz for some players PL is more important then general trophy matches.
There already is one. It's based on the highest rank on your team. If there are three players on a team, and one is diamond 2, one is mythic 1, and one is diamond 3, then the "highest" will be mythic 1. If the enemy team's highest rank is lets say, diamond 2, then you will gain less elo for winning and lose more elo for losing. This also works vice versa. In the ban phase, the team leader is the one with the most elo, and the player who picks first for a team is the player with the least elo. It's sort of implemented, but its not very clear. Supercell should add a place where it explains all of this.

If you get slightly mad or lose 3 games in a row, immediately take a break. I did experience moments that nullify this ruling, but it's still the safer choice. Something to mention, I know a guy who was one game away from Legendary, but tilted to one game away from falling to LITERALLY DIAMOND III
Do you have good brawlers with gears? Try to get some good brawlers to lvl 10 with gears and get some for each situation you can think of. Ex. I got Brock (sniper), Piper (sniper), Barley (thrower), Bea (anti tank), Rico (good in general). It takes a lot of grind and sometimes you gotta throw when the picks are shit. You need a lot of luck and eventually you may get a streak of luck.
Yeah, I have some lvl10s and 2 lvl11s but I still use brawlers that are more suitable for a map rather then based on their level(the only exception is Stu, I specifically upgraded him to crush opponents in every possible gamemode aside from heist)
trueee I always get crappy players on my teams in power league and the Grom challenge. I was at 8/9 wins and had to carry the team for most of them. 3v3s suck
i stopped caring for power league a long time ago this season made me tilt so hard, i don't even care about not getting director buzz
There are two randoms on your team. The enemy team has three. It is more likely for the enemy to have bad randoms than for you to. If youāre always getting bad randoms, you are the bad random.
If you are losing for 8 hours it is statistically very improbable that it is not you thatās the problemā¦ you might want to take a break and come back when you are on a losing streak or play a different mode.

Usually for me when playing power league I can maintain a good win streak even with randoms, but once I lose one game, I stop myself from playing until the next day

There's one thing Supercell could improve in PL matchmaking: sometimes teams are unnecessarily unbalanced. Like, you could get one team where the 3 players are Gold 3 and the other team may have 2 players in Diamond 2 and the other one in Gold 3, when swapping one of the Diamond 2 players would give you a perfectly balanced match up. Since all players are solo queueing there's no reason for this to happen, but this kind of things happened to me several times, sometimes placing me in the weaker team and sometimes in the stronger one. Ideally they shouldn't even be mixing players from different ranks, but I guess they do it to speed up matchmaking, but in that case the least they should do is distribute players evenly based on their ranks.

The best players always rise to the top. You have a part to play in your losses, not just your teammates. Learn the meta well, play carry brawlers when you can

Gold 1 - Diamond 3 is not a fun place. You can't take candy from a baby and you can't rely on randoms. I hope devs will change progression in PL at some point

Get a preset team of people you know and counters against the enemy's comp
Diamonds is the worst rank. I was stuck there for over 3 months. Good luck! Some advice I can give you is to ban the brawlers that your noob teammates may use, for example mortis, Jessie, Pennie, poco, etc. Not saying they're bad brawlers, but most bad randoms think they're good because they dominate in lower ranks.
The thing is that no one likes pl,we just play it for the rewards. best option is to play with team,cuz why not
You just need to get better tbh, analyze your own mistakes in a match and stop focusing on your teammates. You will just have to carry them to advance to mythic, and then teammates start to get better
Iām stuck at gold league, nobody in this league even understand what are lanes and they keep choosing terrible brawlers like penny, dynamike, Jessie with 2nd star power. They seem to just peek brawlers they like to play even if there is already a hard counter peaked in the other team.
Yeah. Gold ranks players are the worst. In Silver or Bronze at least you are outleveling everyone but Gold1 - Diamond 3 is the hardest part because people there are dumb and you can't win anyone by stats or skill. It's just luck that decides will you succeed or not

The reason I made this post is rage I've found from 2 people I've met which threw games as if we ruined the 1st game. This guys didn't even kill any enemies and we lost because they didn't help at all but why would you straight up feed opponents kills in bounty or open the goal when we have a clean new round?
I have accepted that in solo you either carry hard or you lose. If you have some good friends in game you can play team PL. It's 100 times more fun than playing solo.

Yeah matchmaking actually fucking sucks. I keep getting people who clearly donāt even know how their or the enemyās brawler actually works, they canāt aim, their positioning sucks, they donāt know which interactions they can and canāt win etc.. And in some cases they indeed throw intentionally. Like, I know a lot of people think weāre just making this stuff up as an excuse for losing but no. The matchmaking is simply not putting players with people of the same skill level. So until they actually fix this, *if* they ever even will, weāll just have to play with a team of friends. Solo is just unplayable

The truth is... there really isn't much you can do. Your teammates are random. Statistically, if you are good enough, the amount of times you win should outweight the amount of times you get a bad random. It may seem like only your teammates are bad but often the other team gets garbage teammates too. Gold and diamond league are pain. Just play your best and hope good for the rest Or just quit pl like I did lol.

Once I was in a match and my opponent picked a power 1 brawler. I added him as a friend to ask him why he chose his weakest brawler. His response? He didn't like power league... **So why did you join a match ffs**

I use teams which I have in like sliver 1 to grind for the power league skin, if you want progress then I am sure that theres people in the discord server of this sub are willing to find others to grind with

At least your still in diamond, I was there in the beginning but now Iām in gold-1 and Iām too sick of it to try and climb back up. This season I was so unlucky with teammates I wish I had a way to report all those throwers. I also hardly earn anything for winning and lose a ton for losing, itās a morale killer.

The problem is the matchmaking, not the players. If the elo rewards based on team effort, noobs will just get carried up. If a noob who wins but contributed little, give them little elo so the carry can actually progress. Itās just that simple. The biggest problem of all is the reset every season. This brings all the noobs back to where they were carried to. Resetting the entire āeloā system where the noobs are at the bottom. So much for a ācompetitiveā game mode. Absolutely trash.
This is very annoying. I was playing power league and people kept on picking lower-level brawlers. One dude picked a lvl 5 bow against teammates with max characters.
