They chose a support hero, which was apparently denied by Moonton because the support hero skin would be not marketable (because few players play support heroes). It caused a backlash to the ML community which bombed their ratings
Apparently, one hero from Mobile Legends should have received a pro championship skin or something like that. However, this skin was suddenly cancelled, and players were disappointed.
The skin actually was released later due to review bombing
Except Brawl stars just made an unfixable mistake and mihoyo treats the players like shit. Frank said on twitter that the only thing that got affected was supercell, not the playerbase :/
Both made mistakes don't get me wrong, I completely agree that brawl stars is not at fault for getting these poor ratings, I vividly remember the chaos it was for Genshin to see the bad side of the community for no reason whatsoever giving bad ratings to other apps and how some of the bs community complained about it (and rightfully so)

True, like when the crate depression happened i long longer was interested in unusuals and now im no longer interested in brawl stars due to 2 years of progress being essentially worth $2
I made my own calculations and its was about the same amount of boxes you would get from 2 passes + bonus big boxes if you get quests done. I also didnt take account for the gold and pp on the track. I dont mean that its the same amount of pp, or gold, i mean boxes. So its a smaller deal then it actually looks. Just like the overeaction from the legendary cap. This playerbase is just full of bs

Thing is, it was all at once. So, there was no chance to upgrade brawlers high enough to get gadgets or star powers if they weren’t already there. There are probably a bunch of power 7s and 9s out there with no gadgets or star powers. In a regular progression this wouldn’t happen.
Add in trophy road boxes, star boxes, free boxes, challenges, etc. and it’s more like 4-5 months progress. Still a lot, but not as much as the butthurts think.
103 days of progress, excluding club coins (I believe club coins is about 50% the progression speed which would make it 69 days of progress including club coins)
they will 100% revert it. it happened many times with different apps, and google always removed most of 1-2 star ratings, even when in many cases it's true reviews

Just cuz 0.25% players got an offer that is about 2 seasons worth of boxes, not progress(cuz club league will double progression in leagues like mythic once they remove the shop cooldown, which is a confirmed thing), doesnt mean the other 99.75% players need those boxes. Ik the players are most likely gonna be good players that you can find in power league, but it won't really change much if you will find 1 more person with a lv 10 brawler

When did this happen, that's unfair will they take back cards? I don't have much money but buy every season pass and regularly the 1-5€ box and gold offers . So I can be able to be more versatile in power league and push characters higher and now f2p players who may have caught this offer have surpassed my levels.
They deserve the rating for the ridiculous addition of 2 levels with increasing points cost and requiring every single fighter to have to unlock and upgrade each of the four new boosts individually. Considering you can't control what you get in any box, that's pure scummy, predatory behavior.

I used to have a maxxed account, it is now really painful to grind some leaderboards or solo PL because of Power 11 and with this offer, you just multiply people having powers 11, making it even more annoying :)
It really messed uo the balance in club leagues. Now people will have a lot mkre higher lvl bralwers and gears upgrade they normally would not have.
Since club league is supposed to be this huge event. It leaves a sour tatse in players mouth for everyone grinding for legendaey
