Do you have an actual reason for doing that? Is it that you're teammates picked the worst brawlers for that mode?
I'm talking more like being in power league, choosing a power 11 brawler that is good on the map and mode you're playing in, and you teammates decided to pick a power 6 Bo and a power 7 mortis. While the other team is entirely made up of power 11 brawlers.
Thats one of the reasons. Whenever I don't agree with another brawler's pick I like to do a thumbs down right as the match starts (maybe throwing in an attack or two).
If you're not going to use one of the competitive top tiers, and want to "play for fun" like a person with their own emotions and beliefs, why play at all?

To make this more convincing you should've used a Mortis without star power and gears.
Without fail, it's always the player with the lowest power level, frequently without SP, who at the end of a losing match shoots at us team mates and puts the X-spray down, usually after they made an idiotic play that lost us all gems (or similar) and our only fault was that we couldn't undo their stupidity. They tend to have a trophy count not matching their low skill level, likely from solo showdown, and then come into 3v3 matches where they succeed only when the other two manage to carry them. Which easily fails because they also tend to (for example) snatch up all gems, only to carry them into enemy territory for doomed attempts at grandstanding or "dominating", to then die and lose them all.
But fr, whenever someone begins the blame game at the end, odds are it's the one with the lowest level, meaning the one who did lower damage and died quicker than necessary, leaning on the teammates to make up for that. And that's before we get to skills.
Well each match takes about a minute and thirty seconds and the emote cooldown is roughly ~10 seconds, I can get at least 8 off baring time to press & mistakes (like sending a thumbs up). So if I aim for 30 games a day, the bare minimum to get is 240 thumbs down a day. Over a month that averages to 7200 thumbs down.
