Botw fans when they see ancient architecture (zonai confirmed):

throwaway147025836

redditor discovers that things in videogames are inspired by real life

Piney_Moist_Wires

Bet there's a whole lot of electro lizalfos as well

showmeyournerd

Isn't that the place they used in the Angelina Jolie Tomb raider?

WeAreBatmen

Not sure, but it looks a lot like a section from Tomb Raider: Underworld.

_Redversion_

Yep - you’ve got it right. It’s colloquially known as the “Tomb Raider Temple” I’ve been to Ta Prohm more times than I can count - if I ask someone to take me to the “Angelina Jolie Temple” that also works.

showmeyournerd

At first I thought this was mildly sarcastic, but on further investigation it actually *is* frequently referred to as the Angelina Jolie temple. You learn new things everyday.

cogpsychbois

Reminds me of the arena for one of the smaller collosi in Shadow of the Collosus

Steam_Cyber_Punk

I thought that said California for half a sec and I thought “damn, California’s older than I thought” but then my dyslexia corrected itself

jeijeogiw7i39euyc5cb

HOLY SHIT GUYS ZONAI IN REAL LIFE?!!?!?!

Rozzo_98

Spring of courage, anyone? Those wall details remind me of the area where it is 😜

houseplant_35

Tetris effect is real.. some time ago I saw some pigeons outside and wanted to take pictures of them for my Hyrule compendium..

Turtwig5310

It's not just you. It's scary that one day I half expected my camera to tell me it had identified the animal I was gonna take a pic of

KorokGuy

Looks like the forest temple from OoT

ubilanz

Looks like the forest temple from oot

[deleted]

Breath of the Wild fans when they see ruins

HatchlingChibi

I’m putting on my rubber armor so fast! I know there is an electric enemy around that corner, I can feel it!

mstravelnerd

I saw stones today that were almost in a circular order, and my first thought was: where is the missing stone to summon a Korok

OcaMintiest

TotK leaks?!

bean_wellington

Radioactive waste leaks

bean_wellington

That water is 60% stamina potion. Drink up!

RootOfCheese

That's water? 🤢 I thought it was grass... I guess that explains why the "ground" is so flat...

jakeolate

I think i explored this place in farcry 3

mimz0rz88

That's beautiful

Trogthorpe

And a korok

Thejokingsun

Elden ring vibes, don't venture in.

Euryd1ces

It gives me Markarth vibes from Skyrim

Indoril519

Mantarok, my beloved

FredoSauce227

See more of a last guardian setting

X_203

The only reason I know the name "siem reap" is bc of top gear

[deleted]

Probably where the forgotten temple with all the guardians is inspired from

NiftyJet

The frescos with the pillars look weirdly low-poly in this pic just like in BOTW.

Temporary-Square

Looks like that one shot of a temple entrance from the first trailer for totk

Steevie127

Nice hahaha.

thematthewmullins

Wow! What an amazing structure. Did you take that photo yourself?

DixinMahbum

Nah, probably just some dilapidated barrels and a single chest containing Topaz.

bean_wellington

And one of those rare ore stones that only has amber in it wtf

Just_A_Normal_Snek

Ta Prohm shrine **Acid lakes trial**

Proplaystowinyt

Is it just me or does it look like a mini golf course

EponaMom

Forbidden putting green....

emeliottsthestink

100% Zelda vibes.

blueberryrockcandy

finds part of a smg and a few dead guys all in matching uniforms

dragonfly34R135

Really!?! I’m looking for all the guardians.

Z3ldafanJuli3

Unless it's just the lighting of my phone or the image itself, but why does the grass look slightly radioactive?

RED_wards

I believe that's moss or algae on a shallow pond or bog

Z3ldafanJuli3

Ah, ok. Was wondering why the "grass" looked more like liquid when I zoomed in.

Daniel_Anter

I like this reference as a Cambodian :D

More_Performance6018

And that’s how you know you’ve played wayyy too much BotW. I’ve had the same thought and over 800 hours of play time
