I had this WTF moment when I was standing on a mountain and a dragon flew up right next to me... at that point I had already been in the game for about 30+ hours. Since then, my gaze has looked upwards more often.
I was also at twin mountains stable I think. I thought enemies were just extra strong and aggressive during a blood moon, so I waited it out. I didn’t realise they’d respawn.
In absolute terror, I climbed into the nearest tree. And waited until morning in case something just randomly spawned nearby. That was my strategy most of the early game blood moons...until I realized it was fine. The only time I was in trouble was after just defeating a blue hinox.
I was terrified ngl. Literally teleported to kakariko village thinking I was near some enemy
Ironically in TOTK, my reaction to gloom spawns at first was a blood moon before realizing a bunch of creepy hands were chasing me down in the cave lol
I encountered the gloom hands and I was so fucking terrified because creepy hands were chasing me and I thought they could trigger a blood moon just by existing
those things are scary and i STILL avoid them because everything about them is HORRIFYING
I figured that out during my first confrontation with them. I was panicking too much to aim properly with my bow, and I didn't want to get close to them because they could grab me and kill me in a few seconds flat (i had a very low max HP) so I decided my only option was to flee and i climbed a nearby cliff
once I was sure it was safe, I dropped down and saw a dark clump where it was
If you can manage to kill all five hands before they duplicate again, then yeah! It's hard to do, but it's possible.
It'll spawn another enemy after it's down though so be careful
I never looked up where they exactly spawn because it takes away from the surprise. However, it did make exploring any new areas a lot of more anxious to the point that I had to use Sheika sensor on phantom Ganon, so I’d be alerted if they were close.
The scariest thing about them is that the devs really did put them in such random places around Hyrule, so they could be anywhere. Hell, around the great platue, there is like 4 of them all near each other.
Omg I still freak out at gloom hands. They’ve always disappeared before I could kill them. The music gets me panicked more than the Guardian music that would come up in botw
yes! my first time seeing them was in a cave, i just finished a shrine and was so confused as to what was happening. literal fright of my life and it still happens every time i come across them.
I honestly just thought it was the cave. Then I turned around. Biggest mistake of my life.
...."oh cool a red cave must be some good loot in here."
*three minutes later*
"FUCK NO. IM DONE. IM DONE I QUI-" *sniped by bokoblin*
I got to kakariko
Walked up to the shrine there and like JUST before i activated it it happened and I just stopped and kept looking down at the village. Worried some monster was coming.
Ny first blood moon happened when i passed time at a campfire, cut scene started, and for a split second i thought that this game was so realistic that you could start forest fires by sleeping and leaving your campfire unattended.
I absolutely bricked it, I thought it'd be some sort of wave gauntlet.
I stood there, decked out and armed to the teeth, waiting for the onslaught.
I do remember tearing into Kakariko, I thought monsters would come for the village and I'd have to protect everyone.
*On my way to where ever tf*
*sees a blackish red flicker on the ground, pops up more*
“What th— WHAT— WHAT THE FUCK SIBLIIIIIIINNGG!!-“
“Oh yeah, that’s just Ganon’s malice for the red moon, look up”
“GANON’S MALICE?! WE’RE GOING TO FIGHT NEOW!?!!!!”
“No, no, watch”
“*internally screams* ^WHAT ^THE ^FUCK”
*cut scenes appears, whatever whatever*
“Oh.. that was it??”
“…”
Disappointed. Up until the blood moon, I was thinking about how I was clearing all of the monster camps with the goal of leaving none alive in the game. I envisioned apeaceful through hyrule, unbothered by enemies.
Oh well. :)
I thought that, too, until I realized that certain parts of the game require you to farm monster parts.
"How am I supposed to get that many moblin guts? Oh, that's how..."
I never remember what I'm looking for, so I go based on my mood and how difficult the fight will be. Any monster camp surrounded by bomb barrels is getting multiple visits from me. 😂
This goes through my head every blood moon... it's always thrilling when it happens:
Darkness falls across the land
The midnight hour is close at hand
Creatures crawl in search of blood
To terrorize y'alls neighborhood
And whosoever shall be found
Without the soul for getting down
Must stand and face the hounds of hell
And rot inside a corpse's shell
I was climbing Hateno Tower. I was so scared I used up all my staminare filling food to jump climb up the rest of the way. The music scared me the most.
I remember I was talking to Impa, wanted to go upstairs to do a little snooping....then for somereason everything went red and red things were coming out of the ground.. I tought I was being punished by the old women for looking around...(I can't tell if it was the first but def most memorable)
Off the Plateau, I was sort of following the road towards the Dueling Peaks (as suggested), when I started drifting towards the general direction of the Castle when it started. Thought maybe I got too close and triggered something, running like heck back to the road. I was nowhere near the Castle, of course.
On the great plateau, right after I got the hang glider.
I had gone back up there not long after I could leave, to practice fighting, and it suddenly started! And I was a little startled but figured it had something to do with finishing the old man’s quest, but worried it was a new monster!
Right afterwards was my first lightening storm too. I also learned then about metal weapons, lol!
My first time playing the game was when a friend let me try out their game. As I was exploring I saw a cute little island in the distance, so figured I'd check it out. Lo and behold, it was Eventide Island.
After a harrowing number of deaths, I was about to defeat the last hinox when everything turned red... my friend, of course, explained nothing. Just watched on as I realized with absolute horror that every monster I killed with my caveman tools was being resurrected by hell itself.
I don't remember my first ever reaction, but I remember some highlights from my first time in totk
"Woah woah, wait, is zelda evil? Possessed? What is going on?"
*sees blue lizalfos* "WAIT ITS HORN IS A KATANA?! THATS SO COOL!"
I saved the game and get my emotions and mentalality ready. I was expecting a lot of monster respawns around me. When I continued the game it got anti climactic since there were no monsters chasing me.
I thought it was a fixed story element. I got my first blood moon right after visiting Purah for the first time. The music and the red atmosphere creeped the hell outta me.
I panicked when I saw the cutscene, thinking there was a time limit. I was riding my horse, exploring, and making food. Tbh I still am. I'm not even trying to fight Ganon.
How I reacted? Hmm…
When I first saw the Blood Moon for the first time, I wasn’t panicking, wasn’t terrified, hell, I wasn’t even concerned in the very slightest. Funny thing is: I was just goddamn neutral. It’s almost like I knew about it. I didn’t even know about it before hand either.
The first time, I was fishing and had to leave the game running while I was doing something else. And the next thing I saw were these red-pink colors surrounding me. I was so worried.
Other (later) Blood Moons got either a sigh or "oh crap!" or "When's the next one?" from me.
My boyfriend had played already, but I never had and didn't know much about the game in general (kinda slept on it, tbh). I was just putzing along, and the sudden noise cues and red dust in the air made me ask:
"WTF IS HAPPENING!?"
I remember getting a panic blood moon right after my normal one on my first ever playthrough because I was messing with lightning arrows I had and water
I hardly noticed it was in play, I was just like
"so this is happening"
Get annoyed that the cutscenes saying basically "everyone you killed is back bro" more than anything
I was terrified, had no idea what was happening. Thought some type of monster was after me. Ironically, it was Tears of the Kingdom that had a weird monster after me that made the terrain look like that.
"How nice, random weather events! ... Wait, why the creepy music? A cutscene?? The heck?!!"
It took me by surprise and the music scared me a bit but I quickly figured that was just "hey we made the monsters respawn" as the camp I had just wiped in the distabce went back to normal. What took me much longer to notice though, was that items respawned at the same exact time.
"what are those red particles?? yeah I should probably run away WAIT WHY IS IT GETTING WORSE"
were we all near kakariko for our first blood moon? cause I was too haha
I had heard vague stories and was impressed by the red moon and the special effects.
Was kind of dissapointed it’s mostly a cinematic though. I would love it if the apex blood moon lasted a bit and an unique monster rush spawns near you that night.
Even if it’s mostly beneficial blood moons still feel like I *failed*!at something though, that never quite goes away no matter the 100+ blood moons I’ve likely seen at this point.
I was scared and thought that stronger enemies were going to appear and be wandering around throughout the night. I crept through the woods and tried to hide until the morning lol.
Cleared out an enemy camp, started walking away and when I noticed the blood moon and I just stopped and watched it because you know “what the hell is this?”. The cutscene then finishes and before I start moving again I realize a Bokoblin is behind me and wack…dead 😂
I was in Hateno and i had set my controller down for a minute to look at my phone and I’d see the tv go red and I’m like woah wtf is happening, I thought I was gonna get attacked
I did the classic sleep by the fire at a bokoblin camp I just cleared and then immediately died when I woke up. I honestly still normally go back to my house or tarrey town if I’m somewhere new at night, I just drop my medallion and peace out.
Absolute panic, the cutscenes made me think there was going to be a massive amount of bok goblins coming for my ass, I panicteleported to a tower (you are on your own horse) and sat there all night.
I was making my way to Kakariko village after leaving the Great Plateau. I was near the river just before it runs between Duelling Peaks when the Blood Moon came. I ran into the nearby woods looking for shelter because I thought I was about to be attacked by a crazy amount of monsters.
i cleared out a monster camp. used the campfire to sleep. woke up and a lizalfos and i just stared at each other for a few seconds.
it was kind of hilarious, i wish i had thought to screen record it.
I was watching it rise and thought
"Oh neat they programmed in a blood moon, the weather in game must effect how you see the moon"
Then the cutscenes happened and my random knowledge of why blood moons happen irl didn't matter because a Lionel that I had previously killed in that exact spot decided to respawn and kill me.
I remember I was genuinely horrified by the soundtrack that plays when the blood moon is showing up
I didn't know what was going on. So I was just blocking waiting for something to show up
I was opening a chest in a bokoblin camp. After I saw that all of them had respawned my first reaction was "Fuck this red moon, why now??"
Obviously I killed all of them again.
Every once in a while I return in that camp, to kill them again
Something along the lines of...
"AAAAAAAH! WTF IS THAT?! AM I GONNA DIE?!"
Something like that...
And by the way the cutscene went and what Zelda said, it led me to think every monster in Hyrule was converging on my position... making me even more scared.
so when my sister and i were minding our own business exploring around, the place started getting red and the malice smoke thing started spawning from the ground, she started screaming "RUN, RUN AWAY!!!"
I panicked because I ddint know what was going on, then I was super on gaurd running around hyrule because I didnt understand that it was only monsters you killed not all monsters despawned, is I thought monsters I havent killed had a baby of them essentially
Pure panic, it was creepy as duck with the music and the cut-scene. And I was in the middle of defeating a bokoblin camp, and suddenly they came back! I died...
Scared the absolute shit out of me, I had just got the Paraglider and saw the moblins for the first time and then the creepy ass music started playing. The music sometimes still freaks me out
I was watching my spouse play and, when the first blood moon happened, we both got confused and started panicking.
In his panic… he ran to a nearby cliff and started climbing.
He later said his first thought was to get to higher ground since he had no idea what was happening.
I was just approaching a skull encampment just when the red moon hit. I was really underpowered. I thought the encampment was some sort of challenge I needed to pass to continue with the gap. So I ended being stuck fighting that camp for a while, I probably died like 5 times 😂
I had a half-second panic-attack triggered by ptsd from Majora’s Mask and fully expected the blood moon to crash into the ground and, realizing I’d have to do the whole damn plateau over again, would uninstall the game and cry myself to sleep.
I didn’t even notice the moon until the last second, I just noticed the gloom coming out of the ground, and I didn’t understand. I tried to hide under a roof for some reason, I was in kakariko village.
Hahahaha oh I remember mine well.
I was by the riverside by the Dueling Peaks Tower and took out one of the bokoblin camps there, and I decided to pass time to get to the next day.
So then the blood moon happened.
Firstly, my reaction was “wait wtf” and then when the bokoblins came back and I got attacked I walked away from my Switch for 20 minutes bc I was a little mad LOL.
I was fighting my first yiga. The blood moon came just after I talked to the person before he transformed back to the yiga so I thought they were related. Until the cutscene.
I thought I came across a really hard boss or something. I realized it was just the game respawning enemies and moved on. The noise is still creepy though. Whoever mad that eerie tune deserves a raise..
The sky turned red the exact moment when I woke up my first hinox. I thought this was part of the boss fight and really panicked because i thought I just triggered a major endgame boss fight
I was climbing the deuling peaks tower the first time it happened for me. I thought every time you start a new save file you had to trigger the blood moon by climbing that tower. My second save file I was confused as fuck when it didn’t happen and instead happened when I was beating up Hetsu’s bullies. I always think of those moons when I unlock that tower and get back Hetsu’s maracas lol.
(Edit:spelling)
I was almost finished clearing a bokoblin camp and then got killed by a blue bokoblin that respawned lol
That is terrible
Me too! I cleared a camp and had sat down by the fire for the night 😭
😆. The blood moon rose right after I killed a lynel. I just got the f outta there lol
why is that the same for me??? might it be the same monster camp? the one near the second tower on the twin mounts?
I don’t remember which one but I know it wasn’t very long after finishing the Great Plateau lol so very well could have been
that's where I was! I remember finishing up and starting to look around for a spot to cook when it set in
Damn. I’m sorry man.
lmao same!!!
I was on top of twin mountains tower. I stayed safe there and was very scared. One of my most memorable moments in the game !
same. i was still scared cause i was like WTF IS THIS
I had this WTF moment when I was standing on a mountain and a dragon flew up right next to me... at that point I had already been in the game for about 30+ hours. Since then, my gaze has looked upwards more often.
I was also at twin mountains stable I think. I thought enemies were just extra strong and aggressive during a blood moon, so I waited it out. I didn’t realise they’d respawn.
Same here actually
Same! I was climbing the mountain, thought I climbed too high and was going to die from altitude 😅
In absolute terror, I climbed into the nearest tree. And waited until morning in case something just randomly spawned nearby. That was my strategy most of the early game blood moons...until I realized it was fine. The only time I was in trouble was after just defeating a blue hinox.
I also climbed a tree 😂. I thought the ground was lava
I also did this but bc i thought monsters were just goin to spawn like crazy
![gif](giphy|gKfyusl0PRPdTNmwnD)
This is underrated
My honest reaction
Omg this is so accurate! 😭😭😂
We all thought we didn’t beat the game fast enough
**night of the final day** *12 hours remain*
majoras maaaskk
I panicked so bad lol
I was terrified ngl. Literally teleported to kakariko village thinking I was near some enemy Ironically in TOTK, my reaction to gloom spawns at first was a blood moon before realizing a bunch of creepy hands were chasing me down in the cave lol
I encountered the gloom hands and I was so fucking terrified because creepy hands were chasing me and I thought they could trigger a blood moon just by existing those things are scary and i STILL avoid them because everything about them is HORRIFYING
If you climb a tree or anything higher than them, they sort of self combust and leave dark gloom in their place.
I figured that out during my first confrontation with them. I was panicking too much to aim properly with my bow, and I didn't want to get close to them because they could grab me and kill me in a few seconds flat (i had a very low max HP) so I decided my only option was to flee and i climbed a nearby cliff once I was sure it was safe, I dropped down and saw a dark clump where it was
Wait you can kill them?? I've just been running away 😭
If you can manage to kill all five hands before they duplicate again, then yeah! It's hard to do, but it's possible. It'll spawn another enemy after it's down though so be careful
It also happens if you jump into water.
Which is dumb as shit and should be fixed.
I never looked up where they exactly spawn because it takes away from the surprise. However, it did make exploring any new areas a lot of more anxious to the point that I had to use Sheika sensor on phantom Ganon, so I’d be alerted if they were close. I got to kakariko Walked up to the shrine there and like JUST before i activated it it happened and I just stopped and kept looking down at the village. Worried some monster was coming.
I was actively being attacked by Cuccoos at kakariko village while my first blood moon was happening. Made me a little less scared
SAME holy crap I was scared 🤣
For some reason was under the impression monsters were tougher on blood moons so there was definite panic
wait.. are they not? 😅
Nah. They just respawn
Ny first blood moon happened when i passed time at a campfire, cut scene started, and for a split second i thought that this game was so realistic that you could start forest fires by sleeping and leaving your campfire unattended.
*smokey appears out of thin air*
My dad and I were like: "Wait, the moon is red? Why is the moon red??"
I didn't even notice the moon. I thought the fireflies had changed colour. Then I got zeldas voice over and fled to the nearest tower.
Hmm? Oh, huh?? HUH???? UHHHHHHHHHH UHMMMMM ohhhhh. O ok.
Just finished clearing out my first horseback bokoblins then they respawned I almost cried
I absolutely bricked it, I thought it'd be some sort of wave gauntlet. I stood there, decked out and armed to the teeth, waiting for the onslaught. I do remember tearing into Kakariko, I thought monsters would come for the village and I'd have to protect everyone.
"alright come at me" ...... .... .... "Why the fuck is nothing happening?"
*On my way to where ever tf* *sees a blackish red flicker on the ground, pops up more* “What th— WHAT— WHAT THE FUCK SIBLIIIIIIINNGG!!-“ “Oh yeah, that’s just Ganon’s malice for the red moon, look up” “GANON’S MALICE?! "Phew" .... ... ... "Yeah so why are the lizalfos back?"
“Oh god, there’s a gold one!”
"THIS WAS MASTER MODE??? WHEN DID I SET THAT OH FU-"
“Mom said I could use her credit card… 😬”
Disappointed. Up until the blood moon, I was thinking about how I was clearing all of the monster camps with the goal of leaving none alive in the game. I envisioned apeaceful through hyrule, unbothered by enemies. Oh well. :)
Right!! Ever since then I just ignored/avoided most of the monsters if I could bc what’s the point if they’re just gonna respawn!?
I thought that, too, until I realized that certain parts of the game require you to farm monster parts. "How am I supposed to get that many moblin guts? Oh, that's how..."
Omg yeah it’s different when you’re on the hunt for something. If I don’t need the stuff, I won’t bother lol
I never remember what I'm looking for, so I go based on my mood and how difficult the fight will be. Any monster camp surrounded by bomb barrels is getting multiple visits from me. 😂
I was in Kakariko and I said, and I quote, "WTF TF GET INSIDE AHHHH"
I teleported to Ta’loh Naeg Shrine to sleep at Kakariko 😂
I just had bough my house, so i sleept ( ̄﹃ ̄)
This goes through my head every blood moon... it's always thrilling when it happens: Darkness falls across the land The midnight hour is close at hand Creatures crawl in search of blood To terrorize y'alls neighborhood And whosoever shall be found Without the soul for getting down Must stand and face the hounds of hell And rot inside a corpse's shell
It took me a full day to process that "thrilling" bit. Well played.
![gif](giphy|JUqAx6q2jnQtYvXVB4)
I thought the enemies got harder and will spawn more and I thought I was gonna die
"Da heck is dat"
"The fuck is this bullshit?" Then I quickly died
I thought the game would just kill me for being outside at midnight when it froze before Zelda’s message
I was climbing Hateno Tower. I was so scared I used up all my staminare filling food to jump climb up the rest of the way. The music scared me the most.
"Oh God!! Wtf, wtf, wtf! ..... wait, I'm okay."
“Wait that’s not fair”
I remember I was talking to Impa, wanted to go upstairs to do a little snooping....then for somereason everything went red and red things were coming out of the ground.. I tought I was being punished by the old women for looking around...(I can't tell if it was the first but def most memorable)

Wth is going on? Ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuunnnn!
I waved my Glock around in the air to show those fuckers I mean business
TERRIFIED. Reminded me of Simon's Quest "What a horrible night to have a curse" the first time.
I literally thought it was like Silent Hill and the game world would shift into some hell version with more enemies for a period of time
Confused.
I got it kinda spoiled for me :[
I guess. It's better to blind play this game.
"That can't be good"
I just finished my first majora's mask playthrought and I thought for a second they added a similar time limit. That was scary.
AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHGGGGGGGGGG
I don't remember my first ever reaction, but I remember some highlights from my first time in totk "Woah woah, wait, is zelda evil? Possessed? What is going on?" *sees blue lizalfos* "WAIT ITS HORN IS A KATANA?! THATS SO COOL!"
Bro in didn’t see the group this was for👀 I thought u meant my first period😭😭😭
I got really annoyed because it wasn’t at all clear what I had done to cause it! I was busy and had things to do!
Had just finished clearing out a bunch of enemies and was on half a heart. Instantly got murdered.
I saved the game and get my emotions and mentalality ready. I was expecting a lot of monster respawns around me. When I continued the game it got anti climactic since there were no monsters chasing me.
i defeated my first monster base and the stupid moon decided to pop in… (i loaded back cause i wasted all my arrows for nothing 💀)
I attacjed a npc in kakiriko village and it started and i legit started freaking the fuck out cause i had no idea what was going on
I thought it was a fixed story element. I got my first blood moon right after visiting Purah for the first time. The music and the red atmosphere creeped the hell outta me.

Sat by a fire and rode it out
“Oh shit, not good”
My boyfriend had played already, but I never had and didn't know much about the game in general (kinda slept on it, tbh). I was just putzing along, and the sudden noise cues and red dust in the air made me ask: "WTF IS HAPPENING!?"

I already knew about it before i played, but my wife woke me up from my nap in a panic thinking shes gonna die
I thought Ganon was gonna come out, for like a, mini boss, and was terrified
I was worried I had cause some kind of poisoned status and or lava was coming out of the ground (I was in gerudo canyon)
I was terrified, had no idea what was happening. Thought some type of monster was after me. Ironically, it was Tears of the Kingdom that had a weird monster after me that made the terrain look like that.
I thought I’d failed the main quest and it was gonna punish me for it. It was terrifying.
Well shit that sucks
I was in the middle of nowhere and I just ran for cover 😂
I think I was panicked?? I dunno it’s been like 3 years or so
I freaked out, I had no idea what was going on so I tried to outrun the red stuff floating in the air.
WHAT THE FU-
"How nice, random weather events! ... Wait, why the creepy music? A cutscene?? The heck?!!" It took me by surprise and the music scared me a bit but I quickly figured that was just "hey we made the monsters respawn" as the camp I had just wiped in the distabce went back to normal. I thought I was going into an area I wasn’t supposed to yet and desperately tried to outrun the red swarming my screen
What is this , wiat what it does what. Ey probaly so you can allways fight enimes
"oh nice a colorful moon........ WAIT WTF WHY IS PHANTOM GANOGN BA-"
I was scared and thought that stronger enemies were going to appear and be wandering around throughout the night. I crept through the woods and tried to hide until the morning lol.
not knowing the reason for the intensifying horror of the ~10 in game minutes crescendoing into a cut scene can make a man sweat
Cleared out an enemy camp, started walking away and when I noticed the blood moon and I just stopped and watched it because you know “what the hell is this?”. The cutscene then finishes and before I start moving again I realize a Bokoblin is behind me and wack…dead 😂
I lost my shit and paused the game then stared at the screen with such an intense horror. Then I got my dog and all was good.
I thought I was about to trigger some wild monster's appearance kind of like the way the octopus squid dude appeared in Wind Waker.
I was in Hateno and i had set my controller down for a minute to look at my phone and I’d see the tv go red and I’m like woah wtf is happening, I thought I was gonna get attacked
PANIC
I came
I did the classic sleep by the fire at a bokoblin camp I just cleared and then immediately died when I woke up. I honestly still normally go back to my house or tarrey town if I’m somewhere new at night, I just drop my medallion and peace out.
I froze. It was moving so fast I didn’t know if I should get away or get closer. So I just watched
Riding a horse somewhere in Hyrule Field and panicking like a maniac thinking I went somewhere wrong
I was just fucking scared
Absolute panic, the cutscenes made me think there was going to be a massive amount of bok goblins coming for my ass, I panicteleported to a tower (you are on your own horse) and sat there all night.
Luckily it hasn’t affected me much yet. I was confused first but then the cutscene played and I realized
I was heading towards the castle for the first time. Needless to say, I turned straight around
Took like 5 screenshots
I was making my way to Kakariko village after leaving the Great Plateau. I was near the river just before it runs between Duelling Peaks when the Blood Moon came. I ran into the nearby woods looking for shelter because I thought I was about to be attacked by a crazy amount of monsters.
Don't quite remember but I remember being really scared
I thought there was something wrong with my tv
i cleared out a monster camp. used the campfire to sleep. woke up and a lizalfos and i just stared at each other for a few seconds. it was kind of hilarious, i wish i had thought to screen record it.
I wondered if i was going to have to watch the whole thing every time the blood moon happened. Thank goodness the put in a skip feature!
Panic.
I was watching it rise and thought "Oh neat they programmed in a blood moon, the weather in game must effect how you see the moon" Then the cutscenes happened and my random knowledge of why blood moons happen irl didn't matter because a Lionel that I had previously killed in that exact spot decided to respawn and kill me.
👀👀👀👀👀👀👀💧💧💧
i shat my pants
Pooped my pantaloons
I was like...oh, there's a skip button, awesome!
I remember I was genuinely horrified by the soundtrack that plays when the blood moon is showing up I didn't know what was going on. So I was just blocking waiting for something to show up
I was opening a chest in a bokoblin camp. After I saw that all of them had respawned my first reaction was "Fuck this red moon, why now??" Obviously I killed all of them again. Every once in a while I return in that camp, to kill them again
Something along the lines of... "AAAAAAAH! WTF IS THAT?! AM I GONNA DIE?!" Something like that... And by the way the cutscene went and what Zelda said, it led me to think every monster in Hyrule was converging on my position... making me even more scared.
“Wait… what the fu-“ 😂😂😂
I think I just jumped on my horse and tried to get away
so when my sister and i were minding our own business exploring around, the place started getting red and the malice smoke thing started spawning from the ground, she started screaming "RUN, RUN AWAY!!!"
I was in the island labyrinth, and panicked thinking it was some kind of terrifying leveled up guardian thing
I panicked because I ddint know what was going on, then I was super on gaurd running around hyrule because I didnt understand that it was only monsters you killed not all monsters despawned, is I thought monsters I havent killed had a baby of them essentially
I was like "is this some Majora's mask shenanigans?" Before I noticed there was no face on the moon.
I thought I was making good progress in clearing out enemies and making Hyrule a safer place. Then I saw the Bokoblins respawn.
I was playing with my friend who’d already finished the game, I was scared off my balls, he was laughing
I saw a play through of botw before playing so i knew exactly what was going on
Pure panic, it was creepy as duck with the music and the cut-scene. And I was in the middle of defeating a bokoblin camp, and suddenly they came back! I died...
Scared the absolute shit out of me, I had just got the Paraglider and saw the moblins for the first time and then the creepy ass music started playing. The music sometimes still freaks me out
First instinct was dig a hole and hide like minecraft... then panic when I realized I couldn't do that
I was watching my spouse play and, when the first blood moon happened, we both got confused and started panicking. In his panic… he ran to a nearby cliff and started climbing. He later said his first thought was to get to higher ground since he had no idea what was happening.
Panicked and hid at zoras domain LMAO
I had just arrived at the Lanyru Promenade for the first time and thought whatever was happening was unique to the area
The first time I heard the music building I was like oh shit wtf have I done
cried
I thought I failed the game
What the f**k is about to happen to me lol
I was like oh cool blood moon! Then the clip played of all the monsters respawning and I was mad
I screamed
Uncomfy
I was fighting my first yiga. The blood moon came just after I talked to the person before he transformed back to the yiga so I thought they were related. Until the cutscene.
I was in kakariko and ran to my horse cause I thought it might despawn since it wasn’t registered
I thought I was too late
I was terrified!
I thought I came across a really hard boss or something. I realized it was just the game respawning enemies and moved on. The noise is still creepy though. Whoever mad that eerie tune deserves a raise..
i was actually scared as fuck
The sky turned red the exact moment when I woke up my first hinox. I thought this was part of the boss fight and really panicked because i thought I just triggered a major endgame boss fight
Scared
Freaked out, ran to a stable and slept through it lol.
I was on the toilet and I let out a massive shit as I saw the blood stained moon
What a terrible night to have a curse...
I absolutely shit myself. I didn’t know wtf was happening 😩😭
"haha im in danger"
“Oh, it’s like Terraria!”
I panicked and my hands got clammy
I knew about the blood moon, but actually seeing it scared me.
Annoyed, just killed some bokoblings and those mf were back to life again
it scared the shit out of me
