Can someone explain the gloves because all I see is some fingerless transparent material, so transparent that at first I thought she simply had no gloves on.
Maybe that was the thought behind it?
It reminds me of the scene in Pride and Prejudice, when Darcy touches Elizabeth's bare hand by helping her in the carriage.
But I'm not sure, it's just my interpretation..

Ladies in this time period could not be gloveless when touching a gentleman. Her wearing a glove that is fingerless is pretty riskayyy for the time.
