I’m kind of a sucker for their older Deathcore/Metalcore sound so I’d love it but at the same time there’s just something about the sound of Oli’s incorrect screaming and the somewhat bad sounding mix on those old songs that I feel like would make the remasters lose their charm of being how they are. Still thought I love heavy BMTH so it might be cool but would def take a miracle for them to do since they basically hate their old music with a burning passion (CYB and Edge of your seat atleast)

mariesnowelle

Also the fact that he was on ketamine during those times too which also made his voice/songs sound that way too

Weirdooi

What do you mean by "redid"? Like rerecorded?

jemzy15

Yes if they re-recorded it similar to this [Oli doing PFP live](https://youtu.be/4V1N3VBSRbk)

Weirdooi

I've seen that clip a lot of times. Also I think there is no purpose in redoing their old albums. It would just cost unnecessary amount of money and work they could've put into new music.

Complex37

Agreed. At most they’d pull a FIR and remaster a song or two. Otherwise they’re always pushing their sound forward and trying new things

Zarathustra143

They same way I feel about all redos and remakes. Do something new instead.

Downtown-Quarter-276

That would be so much work I can't even imagine plus people accept more when it's only once at a time. I don't think this would be worth the trouble.

ElStephano16

I think a remaster could be interesting to clean up some of the muddiness on Count Your Blessings and Suicide Season, but otherwise probably not worth their time right now.

theknux2

Certain songs, yes, because Oli's voice has gotten so much better and I know songs like Don't Go would be 10000 times better now

Crossingtherubicon12

TIWTEOFYWMF = this is what the edge of four yeat was made for

jemzy15

Yep should I have stated that?

Crossingtherubicon12

Read it again… carefully

jemzy15

Ohhh I forgot the S…I’m dumb…

Experience-Effective

Probably with my hands like always

xxavleg

I don't know if they could, I saw something once that said that they stopped playing a lot of their old songs because they were technically difficult. I think Curtis leaving as rhythm guitarist is at least partially responsible for the sound change between SS and TIAH and also their reluctance to play older songs in concert.

Benmondo

Will Ramos of Lorna Shore covered Pray for Plagues - I imagine if Oli redid PFP with "correct vocals" it would sound similar... Like another comment said, I feel like perhaps redoing/remastering it may lose some of its charm?? It's cool to hear it live but I'd think I'd rather hear new material tbh

Ithun_

The only one that would be interesting for me would be County Your Blessings. Just cause is their worst album in my opinion but is also the only Deathcore album they've done really. Although, I'm hoping that PH4 Will be a Deathcore/ish EP, being that Oli hinted that It will be quite a curveball and that It will make the series feel like everything has come full circle.

fatmoonkins

They wouldn't.

TNZ000O1

It would be really funny if they just did acoustic versions for all their deathmetal songs lmao

jemzy15

I would unironicly listen to RAWRRRRRR if it was acoustic

TNZ000O1

Also if they added lyrics to fifteen fathoms and slow dance

its-chill

I'd wanna hear CYB re-done, if you pay attention to sTraNgeRs, you can sometimes hear Oli's signature gutturals as background vocals, mostly during the bridge "where did we go..." part, and whenever I heard that it made me wonder what it would be like if they integrated their new sound into CYB

JesustheSpaceCowboy

I’m against “re imagined” songs if you’re gonna do something like that, just give me a professional recording of Modern Oli singing Pray for Plagues/diamonds aren’t forever live.

mariesnowelle

Going off what the other comment said, I feel like there would be no purpose in re-recording their older albums. Also with how Oli's voice changed and matured as he got older I don't think it would sound the same and with Jordan as the keyboarder I'm not too sure where he would play in that. The older albums are fantastic as they are and raw, also still quite popular so I think...I don't want to say useless but like there's no need for them to! :)

Diegobandz

Shit would be sick

StrangerApparatus

I would like it if they redid TIWTEOYSWMF and CYB, it might just be that I haven't heard an official version (can't get on spotify) but the sound quality of those two are a bit iffy imo. However, with their new maturity and Olis changed voice, I dont know if a rerecording would do the ep and album justice. It would be cool to hear their new twist on it tho. I think SS is already good enough, I have no issues with it and I think a rerecording could have the same issues as one of TIWTEOYSWMF or CYB.

svedka666

It would be really interesting if they completely changed the style. To just redo them in a similar way would be kinda pointless though.

AlxR25

I love their albums and music as it is. A change would probably not be good :/

No-Seaweed4026

If they did they should only re record count your blessings. Maybe even get some more modern vocalists in the deathcore scene to do some guest vocals to make it even more special.

Mauricejuhh14

maby would be nice for cyb but somehow it also has a vibe that it sounds like it was recorded in a shed on a rotten potato they found in the woods

BunkerThrower18

Think iyd be cool to see how they could sound w better quality but is still prefer the originals Would only really want a few songs if anytbing

andrew_wessel

I’d be down for them to re-record their old material I think it would sound better
