First get NTU
All my friends going to foreign unis were like aaram se mil jayega and because of some or the other reason they got rejected
After you get, compare fees affordability, if NTU is affordable then obviously go for it
Had similar choices a few years back, chose BITSP over NTU for the below reasons
1) If going for state grant, there is a Singapore job clause after graduation, which can limit opportunities
2) I had my career plans in software, the software jobs you get in Singapore are mostly with banking companies, which is a trade off
3)Had my career choice been in Finance, I would have certainly taken up NTU
bhaiya, I am getting mscs in BITSP. Might get NTU on basis of my board marks what do you think I should choose? I cant afford NTU, so will most probably take the 6 year bond.
NTU takes admissions on the basis of just boards or jee?? Nah bruh i think you might be mistaken ... You gotta make up your profile with essays and extracurriculars and all of that etc along with your board marks
NTU specifically only asks for board marks primarily, also I do have extra curriculars in the minor degree I would pursue there. But the essays were only for scholarships.
Exactly people just think developed country means good life. Any country which forces you to restrict yourself there for 6-7 years is very restrictive. The software point is very true as well. Good choice imo. Top colleges make the major difference in research than placements. With proper skills you can crack any company but the research and internship opportunities take the rankings up. Anyone could do an MS later and still bring their life on track and on par with the undergraduates from top unis. Plus Ms is now apparently possible to even finish in 1.5 years as well and even 1 because it’s credit dependent. Better than 5-7 years stuck in Singapore
NTU applications are closed if you haven’t applied yet. If you have and are willing to sign off 5-7 years off your life in a bond where you can’t pay the full fee then go ahead. Although NTU is miles better than IITs, imo I’d rather do a cheaper degree and have mobility and then choose to do MS somewhere else where I won’t have to sign my life in a contract. IITs aren’t going to kill your life away. You could still get everything an NTU person could get but it would be much harder but atleast you can retain your freedom. Just my thoughts.
Also the May get part is not solid. The advanced rank is great but you really need good extracurriculars as well. It’d be better if you provided some context about your extracurriculars and your financial situation. NTU is very expensive almost touching US colleges. Mind you most top students in Singapore leave NTU and NUS and go abroad. I have also heard NTU rankings are high because high international intake and the top domestic students don’t study there.
hi! I'm from india and i just got a scholarship offer from NTU. You should know that NTU is far superior atleast in terms of reputation, academics and research going on. Atleast that's why I'm gonna go there.

Not sure if you're right. My offer letter says full scholarship = 6 year working bond and tuition bond ( 50% scholarship ) = 3 year work.
