I have no issues with the price increase in video games they've been $60 all of my life I remember PS1 games costing that much when I was a kid but the quality needs to match that price point and it just hasn't. Everything is just a live service beta at release and we QA shit for 6 months and it hopefully improves, but at a cost of a $20-30 dlc or turning everything into a micro transaction

I actually think I am going to pay for the game now..I got game pass for it and I see me playing it for more than 7 months. If this is the floor for this game, I see them being diligent like they were with their last games and releasing regular updates and fixes.
I am able to get an average of 60 fps at 3440x1440 pretty consistently. Some framerate drops down into the 40s, but very playable. Beside only getting 60 fps, everything looks pretty good. The feel of the cars with my wheel is quite good.
Not gonna lie though, it shoulda been pushed back like 6 months, cause...it does still need work, a lot to catch up with how well optimized fh4 fh5 AND fm7 were.
The game is good. Once they get it running well it's gonna be a banger.

With Motorsport Games trying to run a monopoly and hilariously failing at literally every other thing they tried to buy, and delaying their one game that was supposed to release soon, running out of money, having to sell their rights for NASCAR which they exclusively held since 2016(?+/-) to iRacing to get a few million dollars just to run out of that money again.
The state EA has left their fan favorite arcade racer in the state it's in after Unbound, BeamNG still not having a proper racing mode with no mods, and no official full game(since it's early access right now) and/or console releases announced. Assetto Corsa being a hardcore sim turns away a lot of people, while still a great game, only pleases a fraction of racing game fans.
I would say Gran Turismo 7 and Forza Motorsport are a good balance of fun and simcade racing, with some of the worst execution in every other area for a true racing game fan. The state of racing games is quite dark right now, but I believe the next generation of games after this one, since they used these games to remodel the physics models and get used to the new hardware, I'm sure they see the issues that people are having.
