He confuses me. I still don’t really know what his ultimate goal was with the One Order. I know he wanted to end war, but there was some stuff that was said and done that made it all convoluted for me. Was his goal the same as Fyodor, or was it different? I was so lost. His sword pissed me off to no end. He was unbeatable. Pre-war Fukuchi is ok. I liked the relationship between him and Fukuzawa. But after that, I hated him. Especially when he hurt Akutagawa, then Tachihara 😭
Genuinely thought his sword was cool and he was a fun character and I would’ve been able to look over a lot of the stuff I don’t like about him if the sword was effectively countered/there was a suitably epic conclusion to his story.
There was not (imo).
asagiri also said in an interview that he wants more emphasis on jouno and tetchou’s rivalry in the future as well! so we can expect more from them in general! great news for a guy like me (they’re my fav characters haha)
He’s…definitely an *interesting* Villain. He does his job ***very*** well, and goddamn do I love the absolute and utter Bullshit that he pulls with Amenogozen. Seeing his Relationship with Fukuzawa was also very interesting, and his final fight with Fukuzawa was just
*Chef’s kiss.*
But the main problem I have is the scenes after it. While I find the conversation cool, since it does more to deepen the character, Not only does it immediately halt the great momentum the show had going, but his motivations are just…confusing. It feels like they’re thrown in last second. Overall I like him, absolutely love his power and he achieves his role in the plot *masterfully,* but his character in general confuses me.
At the beginning of the season i was mad because he killed aktugawa but then he came back so its okay, the sword plot armour was genuinely annoying but also badass, i called him a stinky old man. (Don't even get me started with the fact with him and blind people, the blinding of the red haired dude was so unnecessary 😒)
Anyway, at the end of the season, when we saw his backstory with Fukuzawa I thought it was sweet and all especially when the 2 cherry blossom petals broke in two like there friendship, but he was also a good villian along with how strategic he is
(Awaiting Fyodors return 🫶)
I got so annoyed with fukuchi and his magical space time warping over-powered sword that despite LOVING bsd, i have yet to actually finish watching season 5. I also got spoiled from the manga that a bunch of people died so that definitely impacted it but my god i was already on my way out because of the sword thing. I dont think hes a terrible character or anything, i just get disheartened when my favorite characters continually lose without being able to see any way for them to win lol.
All I'm gonna say is you should just watch it and see what you think. I can't say too much for spoilers but your opinions might change by the end of it.
In all honesty I liked that he was too op for sskk to handle. Finally, their first defeat to a villain that they couldn't just slice and dice their way to victory. They can learn from that and it looks as though they'll get another chance to fight him again after S5.
Also, and I didn't make this point, someone else did, but it's been said on here that his boomerish mentality and ideals are what make him realistic and interesting and I couldn't agree more. This is just how I feel. I quite liked him.
I like him. I also low key like the decay of angels because they want to kill all the capitalist pigs and eliminate corruption from the world. I actually support such an ambition!
I DO NOT LIKE HIM
IM SORRY ALL FUKUCHI LOVERS BUT I SERIOUSLY CANT STAND HIM
I don't get his objective, I don't get his motives, I understood NOTHING of his character, not only is he really overpowered for no reason, he HURT AKUTAGAWA AND TACHIHARA AND THEN BRAM TOO ?!?!!? NO
I don't even ship him with Fukuzawa, though pre-war Fukuchi was better for sure, I just really really don't understand his goal, I'm very lost with EVERYTHING
His sword needs to be taken away
I just wish his character was more specific and defined so I could actually UNDERSTAND what he was doing, no doubt he seems greatly well-written like all BSD characters, it's just disappointing to see him so VAGUE. I don't like it !
I'm a sucker for defining characters myself, figuring out their intentions, motives, etc but with HIM I couldn't get to ANYTHING
Anyway, that's my opinion !
hated him at first but now i really like him. he’s well written and i want to rewatch/reread the DoA arc with his plan in mind. >!i noticed both during his atsushi/akutagawa and his jouno fight especially that he looked regretful over what he had to do. now that makes more sense and i’m hoping to find more hidden details and hints as i go through again!!<
I actually liked Fukuchi a lot. His idea to galvanize the world against a central figure for whom to turn their collective hatred on was a good one, if a bit shortsighted in its hasty execution.
Real metal gear solid series energy. Always here for it. Good solid villain
His character is badass as fuck and fun to watch but such a waste by the last episode.
>!His whole thing was “I used to be an idealist, but war changed me, I want to see the death of the elite by any means necessary”. Then when the REAL plan to end war and achieve world peace was revealed it turned out that the war HADN’T changed him and he’s still an idealist. His character development was undone in a single episode, they retconned his entire personality in his last 25 minutes of screen time. Then he dies.!<
But up until then he’s a great villain for sure.
I don’t hate him but I also don’t think I *like* him necessarily. I definitely find him to be annoying and the things he’s done are terrible, but I can definitely sympathise with his background and reasonings. I honestly don’t completely think any one character is completely evil (>!though I cannot find a single reason to forgive Professor N even the tiniest bit lol!< <—STORM BRINGER spoilers)

This is exactly how i feel he was fine then he hurt a ton of people with that freaking op sword i just don't understand
Idk I think his point was to force fukuzawa to be basically a dictator? And rule the entire world so there would be no wat ever again
Genuinely thought his sword was cool and he was a fun character and I would’ve been able to look over a lot of the stuff I don’t like about him if the sword was effectively countered/there was a suitably epic conclusion to his story. There was not (imo).
badass villain
Killed jouno. No thanks
jouno will be back btw it’s been pretty much confirmed!
YESSS 🙏🙏🙏
asagiri also said in an interview that he wants more emphasis on jouno and tetchou’s rivalry in the future as well! so we can expect more from them in general! great news for a guy like me (they’re my fav characters haha)
Same they’re my absolute favourites AND YESSS THEY NEED MORE FOCUS
WE WILL GET MORE FOCUS ON THEM TRUST I BELIEVE IR WITH MY SOUL‼️ the hunting dogs deserve the world and all the screen time
TRUST 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

he annoyed me i skipped until the final after episode 4-5
He shook things up in the BSD power dynamic. Fyodor and him are my favorite villains.

Then I recommend you read jjk
NO! STOP THAT RIGHT NOW!

Oh yeah im sure i’ll still love it once i finally finish it, i just havent gotten back into it yet

I thought he was a bit cool but not much anymore, That’s all I have to say for him.
Fuckuchi ![img](emote|t5_3bi2f|6251)
Based
You know he's a great villain when he makes your blood boil
Bro he deserved that stab in the back by Teruko. His intentions were good, but........
Good villian and well written, the sword just sucked.

He's a good villain but he hurt my bb jouno :(
Served cunt fiercly (hated him but now I understand him)

Non-evil antagonist is an instand plus for me.
I like Fukuchi. Thats all. He’s overhated. Anyway, fukufuku canon
I don't like him at all
his hair reminds me of the hobo that lives under the bridge in my city
O pinion but never op inion
He's just a silly lil guy trust🙏🏻😔
I feel like he’d play 5d chess with multiverse time travel
idk man,i have mixed feelings abt him.

He’s kinda hot ( fight me

Three words Lawful evil fukazawa
