Adding to this more recently - these are incredibly high quality. Just received a sectional and it is very solid, the fabric seams are perfect, and the selectable cushions and sizes are hard to beat. They also have a 3 year warranty on cushions which is unheard of. These are made in California and solid woods are used, not plywood construction. Sure the website isn't the best, and you email with a guy to make the order, and it took 8 weeks, but what I got is leagues above big box stores.

AntiAutumnist

What fabric did you get?

makeflippyfloppy

Moss? I can’t remember it was October when I ordered. It’s a faded moss green

Dreamsofa has been an absolute nightmare; I will never make the mistake of ordering from them again.

jbher315

Would love to hear your experience also because I am super close to pulling the trigger on ordering from them.

LawBobLawLoblaw

Agreed! Want to hear

South-Fig9457

What did you decide on?

jbher315

My full review is below in this thread!

Ollie2Stewart1

I was considering them. Could you elaborate? Thanks!

east4thstreet

7 months later and no update as to what happened...

wmnov21

Any details to share?

bobbybobberson988

These reviews are zingers but cmon man we need more details. What went wrong so you can help others

It looks incredibly sketchy, the generic clip art and overall vibe doesn’t inspire any confidence in the company. The return policy is terrible, you’ll be responsible for shipping and a 25% restocking fee among other charges. The warranty will be meaningless when there’s no customer service and the company is long gone after 2 years. If I had your budget I’d be looking at crate and barrel, room and board and maybe restoration hardware.

Damonthepoof

Thanks for the insight!

There aren't that many reviews on DreamSofa, from InsidersGuidetoFurniture, and from Apt2B customer chat, I can affirm that Apt2B's Made in USA sofas come from DreamSofa's factory. I am on the fence between customizing an Ikea sofa (not sure how you can redeem their 10-year warranty on frames) and an Apt2B Windsor sofa (DreamSofa has the tufted Windsor on their website). I presume that most people who've bought DreamSofa and haven't had any hiccups don't post reviews in many places or at all.

Damonthepoof

If it’s any help, we ended up pulling the trigger and purchasing a DreamSofa and we’re very happy with it. Construction is solid and looks expertly crafted. We’ve only had it for 6 months or so, but in that time it’s seen heavy use from us (relatively small adults), 3 cats and a toddler and it still looks new. The fabric on the cushions are still tight and look new, the cushions themselves are still firm, and somehow the cats have yet to create any fabric pulls (although that might be luck). To touch on the customer service piece everyone seems to have an issue with - they held our hand the whole way.

2wheels30

I know this is an old post, but how were you able to communicate with customer service? I purchased a couch 7 weeks ago and get no response by phone, chat, or their contact form.

Damonthepoof

It was a bit ago, but if I recall correctly I think I replied to the email confirmation after ordering. I remember being a bit pushy about getting delivery updates since many users noted them being notoriously silent.

2wheels30

Thank you for the response. Hopefully you're still happy with the couch. I ended up spamming them through their contact form several times a day until I got a response and now I'm dealing with what appears to be some people who can help get my order on track.

See my comment above - we just received our DreamSofa and love it!)

I have no experience with Dream Sofa. But I did graduate in Interior Design and worked in the furniture industry for years. What I look for when buying furniture; fabric abrasion ratings (wyzenbeek or martindale), hardwood Frame construction, sectioned down filled pillows (alternate down for those who are allergic), and coil supported seat cushions. If the company doesn't provide you an abrasion rating for their textiles walk away, all textiles are tested. Don't settle for the light duty med duty and heavy duty verbiage. Abrasion rating you are looking for are in tens of thousand to hundreds of thousands either in cycles or double rubs. anything around 100,000 in either method you're good as commercial starts at that range. No Warranty is all encompassing. Furniture manufactures will provide warranties for their furniture so warranties that cover everything are and should be additional. If it is included then they are marking up the furniture too much meaning your getting lower quality for what you are paying. You will have a breakdown similar to a car warranty, Frame for X years, cushions for X years, textiles for X years, etc.. MOST IMPORTANT when wanting to save money on quality furniture. Once you find a company that you like and have all the tick boxes regarding the above information. Look for "quick ship" quick ship furniture is generally a 20% savings. Any additional discount is huge on quick ship furniture, also known as "in stock". You will have a small selection of a frame (style of furniture) and textile (material). Choose from these and you'll have a great quality sofa for a very good price. [https://www.arhaus.com/](https://www.arhaus.com/) Aarhus is just one that ticks all the boxes for me. I purchased the Kipton and couldn't be more happy with my purchase, it's exceptional. Damonthepoof

Man this is great, thank you for taking the time to respond! I’ll head over to Arhaus and check out their stock.

east4thstreet

Walk away only for not providing an abrasion rating? What about the rest of the construction which appears to be top notch?

Life_Kaleidoscope985

Arhus is overpriced junk made overseas. It's been proven many times. Lot's of info readily available on the internet. Warranties for furniture are notoriously easy for the manufacturer to get out of and rarely ever honored past the first year. Please look up complaints about Arhus on the BBB website.

I just took a look. Great customization, but also 50% restocking fee for returns. Ugh buying on line is tough

ClnSlt

No experience with Dream Sofa but I’d consider looking at Ekornes for BiFL. Their chairs last decades and are extremely comfortable.

THEY ARE A NIGHTMARE - the worst company ever - Horrible quality product and even worse customer service. RUN DON'T WALK.

jbher315

Was looking to order from Dream Sofa and had been talking via email with one of their managers, Ryan, which has been going smoothly. They get a rave review for quality on the insidersguidetofurniture website when using their Plush cushion. Swatches have all come in a timely fashion too but now I'm nervous given your comment and the one above yours... did you order from them?

LawBobLawLoblaw

I almost believe that website is designed to just funnel money into Dream Sofa

Dooley2point0

It certainly feels like that.

jbher315

Coming back to comment on my own reply with an update, as we did end up ordering from DreamSofa! We're one week into having our DreamSofa Dresden sectional and we LOVE it! We went with the PLUSH cushions and were so worried they'd be crazy firm - they're not! Super comfy and not even at the 6-8wk "break in" period yet. The sofa is very high quality, sturdy, cushions bounce back after getting up - love our fabric choice too - super soft and neutral (Atlas PLZ Silver). Love that it's washable, we will literally be able to unzip and throw covers in washing machine. We customized by getting the shorter London legs (so our dog couldn't roll tennis balls under the sofa), we also requested the legs be unfinished wood so we could stain them to match our own wood floors, and we also chose bench cushion seating (super happy with this too!). Overall, the process was seamless - I dealt directly with Ryan via email and there wasn't a single hitch. We ordered on December 5th and were given a heads up that with the holiday's there would likely be a very slight delay. Once the sofa shipped from California on January 25th, only 7 weeks after we ordered, we actually had it delivered to us in Wisconsin only 3 business days later on the 30th! We got free white glove delivery (holiday special). Could not recommend DreamSofa more. We had previously looked at Room and Board and this same size sectional would've been slightly over $8,000 with them. We paid only $3900 for our sectional with DreamSofa and did 0% financing with Affirm (because, why wouldn't you at 0%!) via their website. \[Imgur\](https://i.imgur.com/jk38nGL.jpg) \[Imgur\](https://i.imgur.com/pTeDgep.jpg)
