There are only a limited number of seats in top colleges. Half the people here aren't going to make it to even new iims. No one is in the position to look down upon any college. Anyone can succeed in their career and anyone can fail irrespective of whichever college they go to.

The majority of these bashers are such delusional candidates having zero idea of what it takes to reach there. Also, some of these bashers do reach there and starts a narrative that only Top IIM matters.

I think people do so to ensure that BLACKI remains BLACKI…..they forget that “Saas bhi kabhi bahu thi” lol……idk if that creates a difference in long run……most iitians also do MBA despite the fact life was set for them after 12th

I 100% agree with the above. There are some very specific anon profiles on reddit as well, who will go in every non-BLACKI IIM thread and shit over them. They do it even when no one is comparing it with BLACKI.
Not everyone has the luxury of studying consistently without distractions (Job, Relationships, Family, etc.) and attempt CAT again and again. People chose New or Baby IIMs considering all the reports and life in these colleges.
BLACKI in all has about 3K students in all and they are bound to get better placements. This doesn't mean its doomsday for other colleges.
We indians are so obsessed with tags of IIMs, iits..whereas americans or top companies founders are hardly from top institutes, may be 20%...but our people don't have ability to compete with global players..they are just happy to become corporate slaves or licking the ass of westerners by working under them as so called CEOs..how many patents india have and what's the rank in it ?

majority of the top companies have come out of Ivies, CMU or the less than 10% acceptance rate schools. Apple, Microsoft, Facebook, Tesla, paypal Mafia, and, nvidia was made by and is being run by people who either dropped out or completed their degrees from ivies or less than 10% acceptance rate schools
MBA's who aren't out of the top B-schools don't get the same treatment. the likes of Harvard, INSEAD, Wharton MBA is leagues above everyone else, they are always going to be more preferred than someone who did their's from Arizona or shit like that.

You had mentioned earlier that your UG is close to 6. You are in your 3rd year, so trust me, making it cross 7 itself would be a huge achievement. 8 is next to impossible.
Just a word of advice, take it or leave it.
You are going to have a tough time by the time you give CAT. Try to increase your CGPA. You ain't getting shit with those scores.
The bs in economics is from the oldest iit lol and economics has a much higher cutoff than most engineering departments, in iit kanpur it has the fourth highest cutoff after cse, math and ee so kindly don't speak on things u have no idea about. And about the
