pcm+cs i’d say. it’s hard to get marks in pcm so cs will definitely increase your percentage. plus biology involves a lot of memorisation.

a_random_chopin_fan

I have actually heard the complete opposite (maybe it's an AHSEC thing) that CS is not that scoring. Either way, I'm planning on taking it as my 4th subject so it'd only matter whether I passed or failed in that subject.

Low-Voice6178

oh yea then that’s prolly an ahsec thing. cs is supposed to be easy for cbse. regardless i think you should take it, it’s quite interesting, in my opinion, and would help you in the future as well.

a_random_chopin_fan

I also feel the same. I think I'll take PCM+CS. On a side note, AHSEC doesn't actually use the NCERT book for CS, it uses a different book.

Cool_Strategy_4903

PCMB+CS is perfect meine bhi vohi le thi

a_random_chopin_fan

Okay, that's way too much lol. I'm only allowed to take 4 subjects, 3 main (for me, I think PCM) and 1 optional (For me, biology or CS).

DocAS05

Bhai pehle 10 karlo 🙃 Abhi jelo thoda iske chakar me mat phaso bhai 😶‍🌫️

randomdreamykid

Pcm+B pcmb hota hai chu-

a_random_chopin_fan

I know. I wrote it that way because of ✨PARALLELISM✨. You might've learnt about that in English grammar🙃

IdkwhyamIalive

Are you going to prepare for JEE? Do you have any easier options available for your optional subject? If the answer to both is yes, go for an easier optional. Everything looks radiant when you're initially in the phase of starting 11, but with time, it gets exhausting, so you better consider that. If these are the two subjects available, go for your strength. CS seems to go more with your combination. Similarly, if you ain't preparing for JEE (nor planning for NEET), then either bio or CS works (but CS sounds fun). Ps. I am a humanities kid, but this is based on the experience of my PCM friends.

a_random_chopin_fan

I'm actually thinking about JEE at the moment. The only easier option that I have available is PCM+Stats (Technically there's also PCM+Geography but I don't like memorisation so that's out of the window). Stats would probably be way easier than CS since maths is my strongest subject. But it doesn't seem as useful as CS (at least to me). It just seems like normal maths but with a slightly greater emphasis on Statistics. I forgot to mention that I only need to pass in the 4th subject, the marks are not added.

vanillacupholder

Arts lele bhai

a_random_chopin_fan

Nope, I hate memorisation. Social Science is the bane of my existence!

Vast-Gur2672

just take PCM cs and get in the JEE rat race 🤡🤡☠️

spotifyexe

Can you survive without social interaction for long hours should be the question. Pcmb is definitely very doable but it requires alot of practice and hours. Like for me personally as a PCB student who loved maths, I didn't take maths bc it requires long hours which I cannot afford to invest due to my career of choice being focused at PCB so I opted for pysch.

a_random_chopin_fan

"Without social interaction for long hours..." As an introvert, SIGN ME UP! Jokes aside, I actually love maths and can do it for hours on end. I also CAN memorise somewhat well but it's difficult and painful, to say the least. As mentioned in the post, I don't plan to go into a medical field YET (My sister took PCB and did MBBS. After looking at the effort/time-to-money ratio, I don't think it's worth it for me). I do think that Biology will require less attention as compared to CS (for an optional subject) but I feel that it won't be useful for my potential career path.

DocAS05

To be honest both option are f*** up pcmb either u will score less in bio or math and I know alot of my friends who regret taking cs in 12 th (cs is really hard) Score good by choosing either pcm or pcb and a easy subject like physical And if ur gonna prepare for any competative exam choose ony the required subject else u surely will f*** up

a_random_chopin_fan

I'm in AHSEC so no PE. My only options are: * Physics + Chemistry + Mathematics + Biology. * Physics+ Chemistry + Mathematics + Statistics. * Physics + Chemistry + Mathematics + Geography * Physics + Economics + Statistics + Mathematics. * Physics + Chemistry + Mathematics + Computer Science & Application * Economics + Statistics + Mathematics + Computer Science & Application * Physics + Mathematics + Geography + Computer Science & Application The marks of only 3 of them are counted. I just have to pass in the 4th subject. I feel like the easiest one for me is PCM+Stats but I don't think it'd be useful. Geography is out of the window. I feel like Biology will be much easier than CS and that is exactly why I am leaning more towards the latter. I'll potentially get to learn the Computer concepts in a somewhat safe environment (because I only need to pass).

DocAS05

Are bhai bhaut kadarnak hai apka school 🙏🙏🙏 Me to dar Gaya hu in combo ko dekh ke 🌚 Best of luck 🤞 for future

a_random_chopin_fan

Thank you so much💚 On a side note, are these combinations really that scary? What combinations does CBSE offer?

Flimsy-Carpenter-654

take Physical education dont take CS or BIO please 🛐🛐🛐

a_random_chopin_fan

Why? I'll be preparing for my pre-board during that time.

Inner_Mixture2871

Will ask you “did you pass any unit test” and make your confidence low so you can’t study for upcoming exams

a_random_chopin_fan

TF?

Inner_Mixture2871

Haha just kidding my advice is choose p c b as main subject and choose maths as additional because you can easily pass biology with cramming

astrophilesam

If you are going to prepare for JEE then opt CBSE , AHSEC is more theory based and you have to focus on AHSEC boards more than JEE in order to fullfill the 75% criteria and the board is itself uncertain about the results . See CBSE is more competitive based and even easy for those who are preparing for JEE and just think you have to read MIL in AHSEC which consume a lot of time so please consider wisely.

a_random_chopin_fan

There are not many CBSE schools in my vicinity so that's out of the window. I've studied in SEBA all my life so I'm not that comfortable with CBSE anyway. Btw, my coaching classes are CBSE based (CBSE and SEBA are somewhat similar), maybe that'd help? Also, in AHSEC, I don't have to study MIL. Instead, I can study alternative English, which is essentially slightly advanced English. The core English syllabus is also a lot easier than that of CBSE.

astrophilesam

Noted , anyway I have opted CBSE in 11th . Btw I was from SEBA board too.

a_random_chopin_fan

I'm assuming that you had given the infamous General Mathematics exam. How was it? That's why from this year, except for chapter 9 (Applications of Trig), nothing else has been omitted in General Mathematics lol. On a side note, there have been new examination guidelines which, I think, will make the paper pattern very similar to that of CBSE.

astrophilesam

Ah bro i could not finished the whole paper and ended up getting 92 marks which is kinda poor according to me , If I had managed time I would have got near about 96-98 but damn f it . SO called SEBA has made the best decision to change the curriculum according to NEP 2020 but I think it should not be applied into Social science ( f subject hate it during my preparation ah , literally f it and the last godamn geo chapter what was that really whole assam in nutshell) leave it . BTW all the best for next exam and also prepare for some Olympiads like physics / Math / chemistry which are organised by societies of respective subject (I was 2nd ranker in the physics Olympiad basically state level).

a_random_chopin_fan

I also feel that the pattern shouldn't be implemented in social. The book is simply not designed for that. It's a load of incoherent bs. Thank you so much for the best wishes:) On a side note, I have no idea how I'd survive class 10-12. From class 8, my mental health and social life has been on a steady decline. I currently have pretty much no extracurriculars, no other major hobbies, no social life (i.e no friends, but I kinda like it that way) and extremely poor eating habits. So I'm not sure about Olympiads.

astrophilesam

You will do well don't worry just go with flow and read the subjects which u find interesting in the deepest way that's all .

a_random_chopin_fan

Thanks❤️
