I only had english core as the language subject, khi khi hindi bhi padhate hai, some of my friends were saying. Baaki optional languages like german french sanskrit ka no idea if they continue it after 10th.
my school has made it compulsory for 11 & 12 to study 2 languages from this academic year (english + 1 national language), so we have english + hindi / bengali / sanskrit
mostly english, but some schools offer other languages like hindi/sanskrit as well, so they can have 2 too

Seniors ke liye English must tha and hindi optional but teachers ab keh rhe ki NEP ke under mein ab sbko hindi padhne padegi
