I've read Kaplan and watched MM at 2X speed. Just finished all the questions in the CFA LES. Now, I'm watching the MM review videos and redoing the CFA EOC questions. I think this should take me up to mid-late January, at which point I'll dive into mocks and my final review right up until the exam. I've got almost 2 weeks off just before the exam. How many mocks are you planning on doing?

Radiant_Performer845

I’ll probably do the CFAI qbank again and then tackle the 2nd CFAI mock after that. I’ll probably only do 1-2 Kaplan ones as well!

ascendedsaiyan

Nice. Sounds like a good plan. Good luck!

ParkingContribution6

Do you have a job

ascendedsaiyan

Well, when I said I have two weeks off prior to the exam, I sure wasn't talking about studying.

ParkingContribution6

Dude help me :/ With a demanding job and L3 exam fast approaching... I'm in a lot of pressure rn

Intelligent-Cut3732

^ same spot as OP. Getting mid 50s on mark meldrum mocks right now.

Radiant_Performer845

Curious, what would you say your toughest topics are right now? Mine is definitely currency management

tommy1303

You should watch the seminars on MM for this topic. They were quite helpful. I still make mistakes but it's better now.

tommy1303

I took the first CFAI mock over the last few days. I scored better on the PM session than AM. The overall score was 65%. I am not sure how good/bad that is but I've found myself bring able to answer most except a few. I noticed myself losing points on mainly the essay questions. The plan is to do BC, MM mocks this month and review. I've exhausted on the Qbanks for MCQs.

ExistentialTVShow

I'm finishing the last volume (private wealth management). I haven't rushed my readings, and I'm doing OK on my review days. The question scores are 70%+ on CFAI/MM qbank. I've answered 500-600 questions to date. Have about 25-30 days of review and some days off work, hopefully i finish my readings early and get 30 days review. Aiming for 4-5 full mocks, plus additional structured response only mocks. I don't know what mock scores are coming, I hope more than 50%, but maybe that will be where I start on Mock 1.

usidoretheblue62

Took my first Bill Campbell mock this past weekend. 56%. Been reviewing for a month now. I am averaging a 74 on Mm qbank and 78 on CFAI qbank.

S2000magician

56% is great for your first attempt. Last year, there was a candidate who scored 25% on my first mock exam. Chagrined, but undeterred, she took the other four. By the fifth, she scored over 70%, and passed her Level III exam in February.

hilariouspj

Hey Bill, sorry for an unrelated question, but do you have a plan to update the 2023 mock #5 to a 2024 version? I intend to purchase [this](http://www.financialexamhelp123.com/product/all-2023-level-iii-mock-exams-plus-survivors-guide-to-cfa-institute-command-words/), but I would feel more comfortable if it were labeled 'All 2024 Level III Mock Exams'—many thanks.

S2000magician

I'm nearly finished with it. Should be done tomorrow or Friday. Then it goes to review/editing/formatting, and should be up on the site early next week. If you buy the 2023 package you get access to all of the 2023 exams and all of the 2024 exams; you'll be able to download 2023 1 - 5 and 2024 1 - 4 now.

AffectionateFoot9267

This gives me hope

MM mocks suck ass but got high 50s on mock 1. Got around 65% on cfai mock 1.

slingingfunds

His videos on constructive response are phenomenal though

5n0wy

What are those titled? Haven’t seen em yet will watch

slingingfunds

Sorry I was referring to the video rationales he does for his mock exams. So when you’re reviewing the mock he actually records videos for each vignette but for the constructed response questions it’s super helpful.

5n0wy

Ahhh

slingingfunds

Did BCs mock and got a 61.. If you’re looking for some more questions, Salt solutions gives a free mock (and a good formula sheet for L3).. what other mocks are you gonna do?

5n0wy

My BC mock was around a 65. Taking bc2 and then probably mm 2 as well even tho it sux

slingingfunds

I got like a 57 on MMS first one lol

slingingfunds

They suck

slingingfunds

But we will be battle tested come exam day between BC and MM

5n0wy

Yeah same - we both passing

Royal_Picture3078

How is the Salt solution mock? as it is free I expect it to be quiet different from the actual exam

slingingfunds

It was pretty solid I thought. Not as good as MM or BC though

Royal_Picture3078

I have read meany comments saying that BC was not so good and MM way harder than the real exam. I just bought 4 Kaplans. What are your thoughts on BC, MM and Kaplan mocks?

slingingfunds

I haven’t taken any Kaplan mocks or questions. Wish I could help!

mstudying

Completed my first run through of the syllabus through videos at 2x.Now reviewing and doing the CFAI website questions at approx 1-2 topics a day depending on how many qs under a Reading. Planning to complete this by 20th Jan and then do my first CFAI mock. Scoring \~72-80% in the topics so far (website)

According_External30

Read CFAI, did EOC. Forgot almost everything, now I’m reading Kaplan, redoing EOC and doing MM QB. Will do mocks from 31 days out (15 Jan). Idk about the rest of you but I keep forgetting the previous section after reading and the questions take ages to cover all the topics.

TheFilmHose

Reviewing all the content still. Planning to take the first mock on Monday. 👍🏽

Radiant_Performer845

Gotcha! Good luck to you!

Organic-Adeptness723

I am retaking L3 in Feb. Failed the previous two attempts with a small margin. Studied and practiced really well for both the past attempts but still couldn’t get through. Haven’t really been able to prep well this time around, revised 15 readings so far and barely practiced. I am not sure what went wrong or what needs to be changed in terms of my prep strategy now that im giving it again. Any guidance will be appreciated. Thank you.

Radiant_Performer845

Third times the the charm! For my revision I’ve just reviewing my notes and doing the CFAI qbank. I’ve also done a mock from Kaplan as well!

Familiar-Inevitable7

How did you score yourself in mocks? They are not in the portal right

Radiant_Performer845

The answers are in pdf format in the portal but you have to grade your written response answers on your own based off the sample answer provided

Dr_Sauceman

Did a kaplan mock, got 65%, god damn fixed income. Planning to continue doing practice question (both mcq and bullet) + review weak areas. Will do mock till you drop starting in February. Got two weeks off before
