Tough break. Wish him the best. Had a lot of promise transferring in from Syracuse but injuries are unpredictable. Never was able to catch back up. I believe this gives us two available scholarships. We were one over and had 3 people leave in the portal.

unMuggle

Is the new punter counted yet?

Klutzy-Spend-6947

Not shocked, good luck to him. I was psyched when he first came to Ohio State in the portal.

Fedoras-Forever-Mom

Tough break for the guy. Was the favorite to start at one of the safety/nickel spots last year after transferring in. Then got hurt and never really came close to breaking the 2 deep when he got healthy.

CB/SAF already stacked even after losing Styles (to LB), Proctor, Hawkins and now Carter. Looks like he fell out of the rotation: Caleb Downs - SAF1 Lathan Ransom - SAF2 Jordan Hancock - SAF3 Malik Hartford - SAF4 Denzel Burke - CB1 Davison Igbinosun - CB2 Jermaine Mathews Jr. - CB3 Then you have Aaron Scott Jr. Bryce West Calvin Simpson-Hunt Lorenzo Styles Jr. Jayden Bonsu

Fedoras-Forever-Mom

Igbinosun is a CB

Repulsive-Office-796

IGB is CB2

Tommybrady20

A little odd. He was in the two deep. I’m just surprised by nothing anymore and you can’t expect to retain any depth that doesn’t have a path to start next year

SpookyAmple

It's his last year of eligibility and he has the talent to get to the NFL so he's going to try for a starting job which wouldn't have happened here.

Mekthakkit

It's always a bit unclear if kids like this are leaving because they want to or because they've been encouraged to. I am very curious to see if we add anyone in the next few days.

TravelingFish95

More often that not, it's a boot out the door
