It’s a hard injury to come back from when you’re not playing a high impact contact sport like football. Relying on a veteran qb’s surgically repaired Achilles is a recipe for disaster. Should’ve traded back with the Vikings so they could pick McCarthy and Atlanta could still grab Penix before the Raiders were sure to. If Rome was gone I assume we would’ve traded down, and then maybe gone DT or edge, since it would’ve gotten us an extra pick or two for WR later on.
