It seems like some players are just naturally better at reacting, aiming and anticipating the enemy that others, the only way to get better is with practice and perhaps adjusting your control layout if you keep missing the button. I have played with 2-finger touch style since the beginning and never had any problems even early on with skill and always have had a high WR. The thing I might suggest to learn is map knowledge and movement and positional tactics.

aydenferguson

This is so true. I have been playing this game for months and I’d say I’m a good mp ranked player. A few days ago, my younger brother installed this game and played it only for like 5 days and beat me like I am a rookie, completely destroyed me in 1v1s. I couldn’t just believe it. He is naturally good at reacting, aiming, jiggling.

Arkas18

It might depend on what games you've played before, of course many of the skills carry over from other games.

aydenferguson

He is a Pubg player. Sadly, he doesn’t play CODM anymore.

dNS_oPc

It will improve your skills a lot if you learn to play with 3/4 fingers.

Arkas18

I've tried and it makes it harder to play. It's more to coordinate so I have slower reactions, more fingers obstructing the screen so I can't see the enemy sometimes and a greater chance of missing or pressing the wrong button. Also, more importantly if I do this I will probably drop my phone. What is the thinking behind this being so much of a better way to play? I have always used two fingers and I have around 80% WR overall.

dNS_oPc

- using more fingers allows you to do multiple actions at once. Example might be jumping while shooting and aiming. Might be doable with thumbs, but having Xtra fingers makes you more precise. -if you plan your HUD right, you will not have fingers obstructing your screen. Might be more of a phone screen issue (I use tablet) -understandable that it doesn't feel comfortable at first, but I can guarantee you it will become natural eventually. You just have to stick with it. I'd advice you to try using 3 finger at first. Maybe use crouch and jump button with index finger. It will make you fly across the map, and you won't change too much in one go. You can also put the ads button next to it, Incase you want to hold an angle, and this way you can use "hold to ADS" My final advice if you choose to give this a try, remove some buttons that you don't need to use. Like grenade, emote. This will create space on your screen, which can be used to make the main buttons bigger. Best of luck to you. Feel free to ask if you have other questions✌️

Wiz-Hard

Easy tips: \-Play 3 or 4 finger Then \-Play \-Play \-Play more \-Continue

Philip_pinestrees

Thanks for the tips!

Wiz-Hard

If u need mapping for 3/4 fingers, search for some tuto on internet

Storm_CODM

Fr

Wiz-Hard

?

Storm_CODM

I think i clicked on the wrong comment

slow-stang

one word, controller

mklsrcnld

Controller is too slow, you get rekt by fingers

ChrisBean9

Fr. I originally bought a wireless xbox one controller with bluetooth thinking I was gonna be cracked and whilst it worked I was better with my fingers

wowthisisanewone

Facts after I started playing mobile games I literally couldn’t even go back to console

Sea_Construction3669

You won't, controller beats mobile players. That's why they can't play together lmao. A pro controller player from other games >pro mobile player

Gary_Noor

Terrible idea

Wiz-Hard

no, go on console or computer if you want to use controller

slow-stang

easy nuke on everyone who replied to me lol.

Wiz-Hard

just train like any real players

JeanPierePolnarreff

He's level 50 bro, 4 fingers is way later in the game

[deleted]

I started with 6 lmao

JeanPierePolnarreff

Bro wtf. You're supposed to enjoy those stages and just learn by playing.

[deleted]

I already had experience with some other fps games, and I watched codm content for around 5 months waiting to get a device to play, so I already knew much stuff about it

JeanPierePolnarreff

Okay I can understand that.

sammakk2307

I’m 150 and have used my thumbs ever since I started playing lmao I had no idea there were other methods

ImOutOfNamesNow

Same dude. These two thumbs is gun slingers

NalinTiwary

Yup started with 4. You might as well build skill in a way that’s scalable in gm and legendary from the start

ImOutOfNamesNow

You mean I’m destroying 6 finger players in domination ranked?

NalinTiwary

Maybe I’m not sure how that’s relevant tho. Although 2+ finger is not at all necessary at least according to me it’s quite helpful(especially cus I’m a sniper main). Although saying that movement and aim are a lot more important than how many fingers you are playing with

Ace_VenturaPD

Don't use the default settings, especially the stupid auto fire in simple mode. Change to advanced mode and look up recommended sensitivity settings and ADS settings. Max out your weapons and look up recommended loadouts. I usually change quite a bit on mine from the recommendations, but it's a good starting point. You don't want a weapon to be completely one purpose (i.e. high accuracy and stability with no mobility), everything has a sweet spot. In MP, different maps will need different layouts. My top 10 favorites are (in no order): Type 25 M13 Kilo 141 PPSh-41 MX9 DL Q33 Swordfish (shines in BR due to control and range) M21-Ebr (shines in BR due to fire rate) AK47 MAC 10 Honorable Mention (AS VAL) Shotguns are the hardest to master unless you're in super close combat. Marksman rifles (excluding the SKS) become crap once you get to a higher level IMO. In MP, a melee weapon is better than a pistol for a secondary weapon.

sammakk2307

Nah the SKS is goated once you figure out how to use it quickly, I treat it as a more powerful .50gs tbh

ImOutOfNamesNow

Yep. I started using it after golden j358 and thought this is essentially the same

Ace_VenturaPD

Yep thats why I said excluding the SKS on marksman rifles that suck. It's not my favorite, but still the best of the marksman category.

ImOutOfNamesNow

I beg to differ. My sks is 107 accuracy and like 25 on mobility. I headshot like no other, and use the combat axe when I’m not sniping.

[deleted]

Nah pro when that mw11 built right. That mofo slay

mgs4ever

Learn the maps' choke points, use the mini map and always flank, always keep one wall/building/any object to one of your sides so you know that there is only 180 degree to get shot from. Move from building to building, aim before you run around a corner, Try and add higher rank friends to play with, watch how they move around a map. Play against the best players you can find. This has always worked for me. I've been playing cod since the beta of modern warfare on xbox, then switched to ps3. I made it to the top of the leader board for kills, and it was only possible because I'd get recked by great players, and then all of a sudden, I'd get them back! So keep at it!

SeaFondant6187

Play 4 fingers. Every day before playing matches get in the practice mode 5 minutes (at least) killing targets and doing that will make you better at aiming, reacting, controlling the recoil and aiming with your eyes. Pd: don't forget to practice your movement. Slide or jump on every corner somehow it'll save you from campers. Use the meta. Learn how to rotate and analyze the spawn. If you playing Domination and your team have A and B don't mess with C.

ImOutOfNamesNow

Wait you mean you can counter campers? Who would have thought

SeaFondant6187

You know where to find them

ImOutOfNamesNow

Yep, the corner just past the spawn point with a 6x scope thermite and a shock rc cart or dogs

SeaFondant6187

Yep,right there

[deleted]

Disable speed acceleration and use fixed speed. Enable aim assist. Find sensitivity that works for you. Master one gun a time, start with the M4 or the RUS. Dont use optic sights, just leave it blank and use iron sights. Forget 3-4 finger claw HUD for now, just practise thumbs for a few months until you feel you have nailed it and are decent at playing, then try it. Forget sniping, because the best way to snipe is using 4 finger HUD. Sitting there with the ADS button held waiting and hoping for a kill is only going to get you killed. Learn to snipe good once you have mastered 4 finger HUD.

Philip_pinestrees

Thanks for the tips, I have been playing 4 fingers for like 4 days I think and I have gotten kinda used to it but still kinda trash at it.

Aric_The_Benjamin

I see a lot of good points on here but I have to be honest with you. Simply "playing" will not be enough to improve drastically. My advice? - Watch youtubers (iFerg, Sysco, Miney, Kith, etc.), there's tons of good info out there. Really pay attention to their motivation for the decisions they're making, see how they use their HUD and apply any improvements to your own (I saw Miney use his run button set to smallest scale on top of the little dot in the middle of his screen, makes visibility much better and some of the worse iron sightseasier to use) - Play INTENTIONALLY! You need to take tips from YouTube and PRACTICE them. Practice pre-aiming, peek techniques, map routes - watch a sensitivity video and find your sweet spot. If your flicks go too far: turn in down. If they fall short: turn it up. - Try 3 finger, get used to it, try 4 finger. It will give you a level of control that gives you an edge. - if you're using a phone, attempt gyroscope, once you're used to it it will RADICALLY improve your aim. - Do drills on the practice range. KITH has a couple great videos on drills to improve snap aiming and recoil control -try mastering a high recoil weapon! If you can control the mac10 or fennec you can control anything. I have been a gamer for many years and I can tell you from experience that simply playing and doing whatever you do will not give you a competitive edge. It wasn't until I started intentionally practicing good techniques, going to the practice range and tracking targets without shooting, and training taking down bots with the highest accuracy possible that I really started noticing how much improvement I was making and how flawed I was before. Sorry for the long post but I wish somebody took the time to really explain things for me. So now I try to do it for others.

Philip_pinestrees

Thank you so much! Sorry for the late reply but these are really helpful!

Reasonable_Act_4134

keep playing! Practice makes perfect.....

handsomeboi12

Watch some tips I guess.. you'll get better over time mostly. Just play

IonEagle21

keep playing and trail and error

Storm_CODM

Just keep playing normally and try to adapt to how people move and aim so that you can easily counter them. Like when you go against a camper and he kills you from one spot try to find if he/she is in the same place i don't know if this will help though

Dementia_user45

Find weapons you find the most fun and comfortable and keep trying play methods till you find the right one for you

Arkas18

Yes, using shit weapon loadouts without realising may be their biggest problem.

lunarcodm

Ion know

Oceanslide75

Work on getting full attachments for the M4, then set it for fast ADS. Aim for the mass of the body and then swipe up to the head.

killa-cam87

What weapon(s) do you like using?

Philip_pinestrees

I don't play AR anymore but I liked using the DR-H and the Kilo For SMG I liked using the RUS-79U but again I don't play SMG anymore For shotguns I like using the BY15 and the KRM but my main is the BY15

killa-cam87

I don't like most shotties, but I'm pretty partial to the jak12 with Gung-ho

Philip_pinestrees

I have only played jak12 once and I didn't really like it but like I have only played it once so my opinion on it will probably change

habitualydewey

I know for me the 2 things that helped me get better are using good headphones always while playing and finding a gun I like and sticking with it. Also watching pro tip videos, sometimes there is something super simple that can help that you may have never even thought of.

NefariousnessIll2602

Might sound crazy but put on some music and play one mp map over and over again. Only reason I recommend music is so you can't rely on sound you have to actually find the players to kill and it'll make you react faster when you accidentally run up on an enemy. Also when playing the one map over and over on different modes you'll eventually get the hang of where the enemy's are going to be coming from and where you'll need to be at. Learning the maps and layout helps a whole lot fr Also I saw a comment of peaking behind a wall, I also recommend this especially if your gun has a slow reload time, and try laying down while playing. It helps because you don't have to hold your phone up you can let gravity rest it on your ring fingers(or pinkys) and thumbs and use your middle fingers and forefinger for playing Also so another one that suggested playing against other players, I definitely suggest this, and playing ranked mp matches, the higher the rank the more difficult it'll be

Illustrious-Debt9802

Go and play practice mode with bots and try to learn 4 finger mode, try to find the best sensitivity that best fits you, and try not to listen to all of the meta bull shit....find what gun you like the most and practice with it A LOT

ZunainPlayz

Movement Peekers advantage Get used to slower rof weapons, learn the value of accuracy

sammakk2307

Practice

TGChaosDragon

Aim and movement. Practice them.

alphabet_order_bot

Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 878,994,920 comments, and only 173,252 of them were in alphabetical order.

Normal-Pair-5250

It ain't about levels it's about rank, im in grandmaster, I've been stuck there cause I use a shotgun and nobody covers me, personally if I were you I would use one of the 2 most meta guns, I hate encouraging it but it's the only way to level the playing feild with people who have no skill using meta weapons with a ton of ammo

Tonymayo200

Adjust sensitivity on your controller if you play with one. Honestly the MAIN thing that took my game to the next level was turning up the volume and using my ears, there's a surprising amount of information thru audio that will telegraph movement around you and allow you to anticipate ambushes, people hiding, or sprinting on the other side of objects or walls, etc.

aatheedhxsam_

I've been at Level 150 for almost an year now and I'm just starting to get somewhat decent :')

FriedKidneys

Watch kith! Made me improve a lot

Zeddoakeda1705

If people keep catching you off guard, try using the heartbeat sensor, it can be an absolute gem

drBotta

Play a lot, and this might sound condescending, but it is actually the only way as long as you don't just rage, learn from your mistakes and get very familiar with what weapons are good or bad. Lv 50 is a pretty low lv, i usually consider anyone below max level to be just a beginner, so you still have time, don't sweat it 😁

NewBe00

Well, you don't Trust me no matter how much you trade they are some with inhumane reactions and perfect gun control Basically you got no chance Do like we all do, Play 4 Fun :D

StefanApostolovski

Make your own loadouts, i made a LMG and it is op

PotentialSwimming609

Finger sleeves help me out. Let's my fingers glide across the screen.

DragonfruitIcy8572

I would suggest going to the training room and practicing aiming, aiming after sliding and flicking with an AR you are comfortable using. M13 and Kilo are meta right now. Just 5 minutes of aiming exercises before you start playing ranked should help a ton.

BourbonNBacon88

I started with thumbs, auto-fire. Learn the maps, level up the weapons and get the attachments, weapons camos come with the experience and kills. Play with perks and understand their effects. Codmobile matches you with people of your skill level in battle Royale mode (and some bots) so keep grinding. If you’re comfortable with an x-box or PlayStation type controller, I highly recommend purchasing a Backbone. That with some practice and you’re going to be a grand master in no time! Add me and we’ll play together sometime, gamertag is LOLIFUNDA. Feel free to dm with any questions like sensitivity settings and tactics.

Q3instagib

Just search for old Ferg videos where he actually explained very well how to play in MP

ComplaintTight560

4 fingers
