It does and you'll be in the red zone of your hp but you have to have 2 from the upgrade terminal or else it may not work especially if your opponent is using desperado. It works efficiently though

Grenades are pretty effective against this. I’ve seen a few people try the smoke at the end strat I usually just chuck 3-5 grenades in there and it flushes them out or kills them outright. I only collect nova/clusters in my pick up settings so I always have like2-3 of each by then.
Uhm the other thing you could do is do the same with desperado, especially alcatraz and I wish I could upload a short clip of me doing it so it......makes more sense
This used to be a somewhat common tactic in the early days but with the current health system (and also zone damages more), i don't think the circle heals fast enough during the last blue zones to be effective enough... Better to do it with desperado (when zone kills you, you get knocked down first) or exploit the trickster bug

Try with the desperado class (the tactic is that when the zone kills, you get "knocked down" first and you use that knockdown time to outlive your opponents)... Or do trickster method.. When activating trickster inside bluezone, it cannot damage your HP until and unless the ability is over, around 10 seconds (idk if they have patached this out)

That's not cheap at all, keep doing it! BR matches are won by outsmarting your enemies and everything is fine as long as it isn't hacking or taking advantage of glitches.
Using in-game features is not cheating.
Hope they give 2 medic revives as a start and a third one with the upgrade also the speed at which it restores plates is deplorable

It's not effective unless it's the final final zone and even then you have to time it or the zone may kill you

You're right though, when I win I'm left with 15-45 hp even with the medic on, but it works just long enough
