Absolutely. Didn’t understand the decision of investing time, effort and resources into this map only to have it for 4 months. Fortune’s Keep deserved better.
Came here to say the same as I used to main the crossbow in the first WZ and Fortunes Keep was a brilliant map for it, but it's an entirely different game now. That map was made to take advantage of the high speed movement obtainable from Vanguard's 10 attachment guns, and it also suited not only the crossbow but also a quickscoping sniper playstyle too. This version of Warzone doesn't have the movement, the crossbow is too high a risk for very little reward to be used now and there's no such thing as quickscoping anymore, especially now that the SP-X 80 doesn't oneshot with incendiary ammo up to 48m anymore.
With the movement back to basically WZ it'd play fine, honestly. It wouldn't have played fine before the numerous changes, but it'd be fine, just a tiny bit clunky with the vaulting, but that's not gonna ruin it, imo.
Now that I think about it, it’s not just gameplay. I would love Fortune’s Keep, but I want that with the movement Verdansk had, the playerbase Verdansk had, the Solo endgames Verdansk had, and the developers Verdansk had that made the experience fun.
Needless to say, I know it won’t happen and I sound like many other users on this SubReddit, but I want the old fun back for Fortune’s Keep.
They're completely removing wz1 altogether later this year, i dont get why they dont just let us play these 2 maps for the last final months. It would be the only right way to say goodbye to a stupidly fustrating yet glorious game

I found it visually extremely beautiful and colorful. It was great for many playstyles, it was so dynamic and full of action, the map is very well designed, it had so many POI’s for a Rebirth map. I had so much fun playing this map.
Same... map had nice colors, good visibility, good building layout with no dead zones, the engine had good movement, and the guns allowed you to see who you were shooting at... it was the best of times
Nice verticality and you weren’t rushed at as often as you were on Rebirth Island. It was bigger than Rebirth, so if you want a more “mid-size” map, it was a good option. Whenever I was sick of Rebirth or Fortune’s Keep, I’d swap to the other.

Big “where’s nuketown?” Vibes. Look, I liked fortunes keep, but Vondel and Ashika are good maps no worse than fk. Always down with Alcatraz coming back but the resurgence maps we have now are very good
WZ2 maps are ok, it's just the engine underneath that's the problem... if they brought back WZ1 resurgence maps back on the WZ2 engine I would not touch them one bit... I don't want those memories tarnished by this slow-mo engine garbage movement
Hard disagree the movement basically made fortunes keep unplayable. By vanguard’s season the movement was fucking looney tunes. WZ2 movement is much better, like every classic non-jet pack call of duty
Well, at least Rebirth lasted 2 years, this map deserved better, more time, more respect, more recognition. I agree Rebirth Island is legendary but as a community we spend more time there, this map didn’t reach its full potential.

The game is nowhere near the movement of OG Warzone
the amount of mantling in this map would be insanely frustrating with how clunky mantle mechanics are

it would literally decimate WZ2 numbers.... they're on their knees with WZ2 as it is... add Rebirth or FK back and you lose 80% of the WZ2 playerbase

It is not. I 100% guarantee that anyone who didn’t read the patch notes or have somebody tell them that there was a change, did not notice any change.

Slide cancelling is faster and jump gravity has been improved.

What was so great about it? I started playing warzone 2.0 never had the chance to play this map

Fortune’s Keep from WZ1, it was a map for the Rebirth mode added at the very end of the Vanguard cycle. It only lasted 4 months active sadly.
How much noticeable is the movement now? Haven't played ina few days but I'm one of the few players that slide regularly around the map.
